- Hey guys finally switched out my grill and this video shows our experience with taking the old one out and installing the new one, which is a custom gloss black mesh one. I outline the exact steps you need to take to do this, and best of all you don't even need to take off your front bumper!

Do it bro the 2006-2010 chargers are severely over looked with some good mods they look clean. I have a SRT8 and an R/T and I’ve made them clean

I like my honeycomb chrome grill on my DUB better, the blacked out spacer grill definitely gives it a meaner stance tho, nice job 🤙🏼

Great vid I have a 10 charger with a push bar and the grill is faded as hell I am planning on restoring it to gloss black and cleaning up the Crome this vid will come in handy. Oonly down side I have 1/4 in steel mounts to deal with lol
I always thought these cars would look better with just a plain, angry, Large-Mouth Grille--so I like what that does to the "Look" of your front end. One of the reasons I went with a Black SRT8 is because the grille cross-hairs don't show up as much, as on Silver or Red.
+Jim H. Yeah I just mainly wanted a change. I could have plasti dipped the other grill black but I always still have it if I ever want to go back. I want the black and red look so this should go nicely once all mods are in place
Yeah,It looks like the front of a 2007-2008 Charger Daytona R/T, which ain't a bad thing at all. They have Flat / Matte Black grilles. It would be pretty cool if you could find a RED MOPAR BADGE Logo, and install it kind of in the corner of the Grille--like where the Super bee, R/T and SRT badges normally go. I kind of dislike my Ram's Head Logos all over my car. I mean, it's not a Ram truck, so what's up with that?

Looks good man!! You should tint your headlights and tail lights. I did that for my Charger and it's makes it look somewhat more aversive.
it's a cheap mod got the precut tints of eBay for around 35 dollars

Pictures keep blocking the actual footage of the work, however they were also helpful. There’s a cover that makes it a little more difficult to remove the 2 screws on the outside, how should we go about that?

My transmissions intercooler was in the way so big ol bullshit was forced to take the bumper off, after doing my headlights it’s wasn’t that bad, only took about an hour or 2
As you do it your grill gets loose, mine is jammed in there? unhooked top 2 and few other no give tho? Am I missing something? Maybe just from being there so long? I have a history of using to much force and breaking stuff 😅
Thanks for the informative video and well done by adding the tools and instructions. One open question. The existing secondary black grill you took off, that looks to be a protective grill to stop hard objects from hitting the radiator directly. Now the new honeycomb grill looks great, but does it offer the necessary protection?

To each their own of course, but I never liked this style of aftermarket grille. EVERYONE seems to use it and I don't get why.
The OEM grille looks awesome! All it needs is a little contrast. Get a black or a chrome and it looks 100x better if you aren't happy with one paint matched to your car like this one was.

I'm confused.... An offset screw driver and a ratchet is needed or? Also be specific please, what kind of bolts are down there? Flathead... Etc?

Mine is coming in today! My current grill is crome from the factory, I plasti dipped it black a couple years ago. It looks like shit now because is flaking off from hitting bugs and whatnot over time. I can’t wait to get this new one installed!

Can u just take the hole grill off without doing it peace buy peace? And what if u have a new grill thats the same as the one factory grill u took off can it go back on as a hole unit?

Bboy_Killa kinda sketchy but I know some small dealers won't let you do that... if the price is really good then you're set just make sure there's no engine ticking noise and if so then stay away
Bboy_Killa worse case if other parts are bad they can be fixed but you wanna stay away from engine problems

I know this is a little old but. can u just pull the cross looking part straight out without doing much of anything else . I'm not wanting the whole grill out just the cross part mine is chrome and I want to paint it black. thanks for any help
Guildenstein Foutch if you look in the video at around the 1:45 mark, we are just taking off the cross part. It can't just pull out, you have to pull out the red little tabs in there that keep it in place and it'll come off. Was pretty easy to do just watch the first few minutes and ignore the rest

This is a great way to avoid taking the bumper off and it’s also great way to get your new grill stolen!! No screws to secure it.

I'm getting a 2007 Charger and the fake chrome paint job is peeling off around the edges, so I'm here to see how to remove it so I can paint it. lol
So weird… My charger must be built different cause my front grille doesnt move!
Well fuck me I go to take the bolts off to remove the old one and one of the bolts is completely rusted and striped to shit.
