  • This is the hike of Terrapin Branch. I've been wanting to do this hike for about two years, but I wanted to do it when I knew there would be a good amount of water in the creeks. Well, this past weekend was the perfect time. The creeks were rolling and the waterfalls were epic. Take a look.

Yes, I was going to go back and over the bluff line but just decided to take the original path again.

From what I understand, this is an outdoors video blog, right?. Nice rain action...goodly flow in the branch. I was hoping that you would have brought trekking poles...not. I lost a tripod on Terrapin Branch years ago and went back and was amazed when I found it a week later. Beauty of a hike, but doing it in the rain...not fun. Fart Falls...nice. Cool there at 17:20. Weird that the water there was moving more slowly at that spot.

I call it that since I sometimes post other videos not directly related to hiking. It's an umbrella term I suppose. The creek was indeed flowing and every rock was very slick. It was my first trip there. Enjoyed it but slow moving that day.

An umbrella would have been handy for you. You would have looked silly, but once again, who's gonna see you out there.@@travelingwithspinoza

@@NoTrail actually I do own a hiking umbrella. It pairs well with my trekking poles. 🤣

I believe it. It would be cool if it was built into one of the ski poles. The other could hold a...uh...a something.@@travelingwithspinoza

Once your wife saw this video, I’m sure she had words with you. Great job on the rock scrambles. I like the karst topography of the Ozarks and your video certainly showed it in grand style. Do you have a holster or sling to keep your hand held camera in? That would free up a hand for a trekking pole.
