LAN parties were the shit!!! We drove from Louisiana to Florida to have a LAN party with a bunch of people from our guild back during BC. We also got to watch a night launch of the Space Shuttle Atlantis (our GM worked for NASA and got us in to see the launch). One of my favorite memories! Good times…

I love the way Asmongold refers to time in shirts. That was 3 shirts ago XD
Even his chat has grown out of their "weebs DansGame" phase. Now anytime something related to anime or anime-looking comes onto his stream, chat does not devolve into a mass-sperging about "weeb shit" anymore and has made the chat 100% more tolerable. Not to mention that most of those people back then did not even stick around: Rich checked the activity of some of them on stream and most of them stopped watching Asmon around the time Shadowlands was released or before. Only the real ones stick to the end.

@Urazz People over exaggerate whatever is considered weeb tbh. I understand shunning someone for watching junk food shows like the majority of Isekai shows and that "Moe" shit. It can make you cringe I know but that's just how it is, different tastes different opinions.
At the end of the day if we have the spare time we all should have to give other genres a chance. Living life in my opinion is making the most out of it at whatever it provides you.

Yes there is bad animes, but there is also good ones, just like everything in life.
Remember going to the pawn shop in 2005, we snapped up a few shitty PCs and old CRT monitors, put together a LAN for Starcraft Brood War and Warcraft 3. Left them all at one friends house and went back every weekend for an entire summer. Shit was amazing.

Being able to adjust opinions according to new experiences and information is healthy imo. The teasing is fun but it really is awesome that Asmon gave FFXIV a shot in good faith.
Everything surrounding WoW today sounds like a mess, so that's a big deterrent to me playing. That said there have been stories and bits of lore or even transmogs I've seen videos about that do seem cool from youtube. Ex. The corrupted blood plague sounds insanely interesting even if it was a glitch. So while WoW might not fit my tastes as much as FFXIV, there are situations where I might have given it a shot if not for the many, many issues going on.
There's still potential in a lot of WoW's concepts. If Blizzard doesn't get its shit together, I'm positive someone else will draw inspiration and realize that potential instead. New packaging sure, but the elements that matter will be there.
Can someone make a clash between Asmons wow char and Asmons FFXIV char ? OR maybe Asmonds Wow friends and FFIV team? I'm terrible with photoshop or digital editing maybe who is good could make this , in my head it looks good. :)

I would personally like to see that art once he hits cap with his DRK and gets his ideal glamour, for the most amount of badassery possible.
You can do silent screenshots. Create a macro with just /systemsounds in it. Put that in an hideen/faded bar so noone knows it's there. That macro toggles the system sounds, so you press it, take the screenshot, and press it again to re-enable system sounds. The chat won't know that you took a screenshot, nor will they know that you have the macro since it's a hidden bar.
His reaction to Penny was basically the same reaction I had when I saw her for the first time last week.

Not going to lie but I've played FFXIV since 1.0 Beta and people were kinda iffy about seeing how the WoW players would integrate to the FFXIV community... you've all been great! It's a totally different game to WoW but I'm so glad to see so many new players enjoying the game.

@@farfa2937 it was mostly a joke, I am pretty bad at FPS myself, not as bad as asmongold, but still very bad... but in rpgs I still tend to prefer action combat over tab targeting, so I am in a similar situation

@@quekZo95 I am doing mainly main quests. Was doing side quests then when I got chocobo around lv 38 I said screw that. One server has xp boost going and when I hit 30 Enix gave me 15 more days of game time. :)

@asmongold TV if you want not have screenshots heard each time mute system sounds from system configuration or lower it down ( usually all they affect are interaction clicks to UI/other buttons, alarm will be muted too)
