      That's not actually from the 80's though, these styles were popular centuries ago. The 80's just took it from there and made it a little different 😉. And yes, fashion always comes back

    Thank you for the free pattern! I've been loving big sleeves lately. all my projects have been including them! Also, the shirring so much fun! I learned how to do it a while ago, its much more comfortable and satisfying than trying to fuss with a piece of elastic.

    I love your colour choices and the clothes you make. My favourite sleeve is the first one although I love them all. I might have a go at making that one as I have been gifted some shirring thread.

    I’ve got your Rosa dress pattern and I have purchased some ditsey floral blue chambray to make an autumn/winter dress so I’m looking to make longer sleeves. I do like the puff sleeves and the long sleeve with the puff bottom area.

    Love love LOVE this tutorial! Thank you so much for sharing. I have just started sewing and used your other tutorial to make a tote bag and scrunchies. Just wondering what scissors you are using? Maybe a sewing essentials video would be useful for new beginners!

      Trina Ainu'u Heyy I don’t know how things are in your region, but generally you want to use very sharp scissors that you’re then only using for fabric and nothing else (paper dulls scissors). I got my scissors from ikea :)

    The last sleeve, with the lower puff, looks like it could easily be adapted to some late 1830's history bounding 😍

    This is perfect timing as I was planning to make a puff sleeve blouse... For the shirring, the bobbin is obviously threaded with the shirring elastic, but what about the top stitch? Am I threading the machine with shirring elastic or normal thread? Haha, sorry if the question is a bit dumb but I've never done this before.

      It’s a good question! I just used normal thread in the machine and just the shirring elastic on the bobbin 😊

    would it be possible to use the second sleeve (the red dress) with an elastic in the cuff instead of gathers and a cuff? just to make it more comfortable/easy to fit?

    Question; can I do the shearing (is that what it is called?) effect in dress 1 by gathering the fabric and not shearing it? Will it not work and literally not ruffle the sleeve?

      Good question! It might be worth a try, but it won’t ruffle as nicely as the shirring elastic I don’t think 😊

    Your pattern is nice but why separate 2-14 and 14-24? It's already pricey as it is, it should include all the sizes.

    How well does your rosery apparel pattern work for american plus sizes?

      Not sure what the difference between American and Australian sizes is, but there are measurements in the pattern listing so you can check what size will be right for you 😊
