Hello Karen, can we please have a video on the different category/set of questions that you would ask the PO, stakeholders, team members in order to know their strengths, weaknesses, current process, tools, technologies, shortcoming in current process, pain points etc ?
Valid comments all through. My intro style when I've joined new teams is to have the 121 meeting with the team and stakeholders is to make the conversation informal - no longer than 15 mins per person. I also do not focus on work, I introduce myself, what I was doing before joining the team, my experience, etc and get them to offer the same. I talk about my family and I've noticed it gets people talking about same - whether they have a son, daughter...of school age, etc. We just connect on a simple level. I make them understand I'm joining the team to support them and would be relying on them to develop my knowledge of the product and team. The only question I put across to do with work is usually the one key challenge that individual believes the team is facing or phrased differently as what to them would be an idle way for the team to be working - usually means the same thing. Other questions and knowledge discussions then follow over the coming days and weeks. One great thing Karen also mentioned is to use the retrospectives to introduce your ideas piecemeal. Although for me now I just joined a team where they stopped having retros because they thought no one was interested. So, I don't even have the retro session to use as a springboard. I've only just started telling them that we would have to bring it back just to give ourselves the opportunity to discuss our way of working and opportunities to innovate. Wish me luck :)
Thank you so much for this content. It’s amazing and so helpful. The anxiety you have relieved me of,you wouldn’t believe. THANKS SO MUCH FOR CREATING AND SHARING CONTENT ❤️
Hello Karen, I have just completed a course for scrum master. But have a whole lot questions about this role. You are focusing on all those questions & your channel is a very informative guide for scrum master role.Thank you so much for such informative videos👍👌
Had the opportunity to go through the content in this video and I definitely feel it is very valuable for everyone starting out. Thanks for the effort.
Karen, thank you for this video. I don’t see the video for new organization with new team and what your approach should be as their new scrum master: would really appreciate it if you could do a video on that
Hello Karen, please can you share the link for the video about the category of questions to ask stakeholders when you first join an organization that you mentioned in this video. I know I had seen it before by but can't find it anymore. Thank You
Thanks for taking your time to do this.Karen. This is very informative and I will love to ask questions after I’m done with the class in two weeks time! Do you mind to let me have your contact? Thanks
@@BeingAgile_Consulting Waww.. I did not expect you would reply.. Thanks for sharing however I see there are multiple shades in revlon. Which shade in that? Solar coral?
What if the team you are joining is very open to scrum and wants you to jump in right away? Still take this gradual approach or establish your best practices in the first few weeks?
This is very insightful. I am a DBA who is transitioning into scrum and your videos are very helpful. Is there a way to consult with you individually? Thanks

That is the reality on the ground. That is why you set clear expectations with your team immediately you join them. Even after doing that, it is still not a guarantee, you cannot force anybody, you just have to exercise patience and continuously encourage them to see the benefits of the practice.
