    Hey, lovely video. Thank you for educating your followers. I am an Agile Coach. I just wanted to point out that Sprint Metrics are not necessary for Sprint Reviews. The Scrum Guide encourages demoing done increments of working software during Sprint Reviews. Also, note that external and internal stakeholders are mostly not interested in metrics (velocity, burndown chart, etc.). They would want to see the software built and give recommendations. Even internal stakeholders do not care about metrics. Metrics are things you can go through during Sprint Planning with the team to show the team their average velocity and advise what they could complete on the newsprint based on the new capacity before handing over to the Product Owner to go through the Sprint Goal and priority User Stories that would feed into the goal. When the team are selecting already estimated work they will then be mindful of the average velocity which was fresh in their minds and align their commitment to that. Scrum is a framework and not a methodology; Kudos if reviewing metrics during Sprint Review works for you.

      Coach Steven, that was a great point you just mentioned, but I believe she is explaining what happens in her environment. Because scrum is a frame work like you rightly said, all environments customize the scrum guide differently to fit their need.

      Yes, I do agree with you. The review is product and customer-feedback oriented. The focus should be the customer. For the team and flow behavior we can use the retro,

    i thought the PO owns the sprint review? while i agree that the scrum master facilitates the meeting, he/she is likely to be seen and not heard during the review especially after handing over to the PO.

    Another beautiful video. Thank you for your work. I was just confused with where you spoke about grooming then planning. So the team choose the story on which they will start working at the end of the grooming meeting for the sprint while waiting for the PO clarification within the week?

    • @BeingAgile_Consulting
      @BeingAgile_Consulting  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, correct. The real planning happens during the refinement. For some reasons, people just don't talk about it.

    Quick question on the metric demo. Is it the Scrum master that demos of the dev team?

  • @anbuarasi8110
    @anbuarasi8110 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Question: if a story got rejected in sprint review then the metrics you prepared might go wrong right? Help me understand why can't we have that metrics demo in retro

    • @BeingAgile_Consulting
      @BeingAgile_Consulting  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There is no strict rule around this. Is all about what your team deem valuable. If demonstrating metrics at your retro adds value to your team, why not? Regarding rejection of increment, the metrics stays the same. However, that would be an adaptation opportunity for the team in the next sprint, which is why the the sprint review is held in the first place.
