Purdy's leadership and being a great teammate is one of the underrated aspects to his game. Cant believe he's only 24 years old, he's got maturity beyond his years. Regardless of the outcome of the super bowl, I expect purdy to only get better as his career progresses.

The biggest 49ers weakness is defense. sure, you have tons of big names, Bosa, Warner, Dre, Randy, Arik , Chase, Kinlaw, but Lions can run 154 yards on you during 1st half, and scored 31 points.

Tbf here for the niners, the Lions were arguably the best overall running team in the league because Baltimore tried to build a more varied attack offense for Lamar. But I also think Pacheco and our O-line can take advange of this and our defensive line, minus where ever Trent Williams is, can have a field day game wrecking their Oline

Why does Joy not want to give the 49ers/Kyle any credit for selecting Brock Purdy? They picked him no one else did, so you Have to give them some credit whether you want to or not, also teams draft according to what they NEED not the best player available, they get they didn’t need a QB which is why Brock wasn’t drafted higher
She gives credit to the scouts and other people in the organization, not Shanahan because Shanahan has more of a hand in later rounds, if he really wanted Purdy they would’ve drafted him earlier

Wait where are you getting your numbers from? Jimmy G with CMC has 127 pts in 5 games = 25.4 ppg. BP has 810 pts in 28 games with CMC = 28.9 ppg. That's a difference of 3.5 ppg. Not 10 ppg. And he said similar, but also said Brock's were a little better.
The only position the 49ers need to improve upon currently is the Oline.

When Sean McVay went out and got Matthew Stafford people fail to acknowledge the fact that he also went out and got Von Miller and Jalen Ramsey and Odell Beckham, Jr. to win a Super Bowl after they left the team reverted back to its old self so this notion of the quarterback won the Super Bowl is so dumb. I think the narritive becomes set in stone for Kyle Shanahan if the Chiefs win this game. That was a great point. Because now it becomes history that Shanahan built one of the most stacked teams in the recent NFL history, with a revolutionary kind of offensive scheme, and that success should have had a Super Bowl win. If they lose Sunday, the narritive becomes, "All that, and they lost to KC and Patrick Mahomes twice" because ive been riding this postseason in KC as a Chiefs fan with the tagline "if you cant beat KC and Patrick Mahomes right now, when will you ever?" And the 49ers are the most fitting end to that story. Maybe the team that has the most vendetta in beating Mahomes because he ripped a 6th championship away from them

Someone can sneak in and get an SB, but Brock got them there through the regular season and the 1st seed. He could have gotten them there in both years if he didn't get hurt. It's not a fluke. Foles and Flacco didn't carry their teams for the whole season.

The Shananhan model is the Ravens model. They've been winning with whoever at QB. They just happen to have Lamar now, but they'd probably still win with somebody else. The fifth most winningest team since 2000. The four teams above them have/had HOF QBs.
The Niners also traded up to 3 overall for a quarterback just a few years ago.
If the Niners lose it’s more likely cuz of defense. It’s overrated and overpaid. D lines has allowed 4.9 yards per rush to GB and 6.3 yards to Detroit. Granted the Chiefs hasn’t got the rushing game of those two teams, but they got Mahomes. I am really iffy about the Niners D.

Insane how they say the Niners haven't tried to improve the QB position unlike other teams or that the Niners would need to move on from Purdy if he doesn't beat Mahomes in the SB in his first full season starting. Last time I checked, Josh Allen nor Lamar Jackson haven't beaten Mahomes yet in the playoffs, yet they have such standards for a 2nd year QB in his first full year starting that the only way he should keep his job is by beating the most talented QB of this generation. They literally hold Purdy to a standard that no other player lives up to. Make it make sense.
Sorry boys, he has some work to get that high on the list. Elway did more with less, Manning changed the way QBs called games, Montana won more, Brees had crazy stats and efficiency. Mahomes is only in year 7 and has 2 SBs. He still needs to be good for another 3 years and win a couple more for him to overtake these guys.

Big Correction...Jimmy G did not get the niners to the big game in 2020....an excellent running game plan and defense agAINST the packers got the niners to the dance...jimmy had 6 completions from 8 attempts for 77 yards and -1 rushing yards on 4 attempts....BROCK PURDY threw for 25 completions for 267 yards and a passing TD along with 5 rushing attenpts for 48 yarrds..mostly in the 4th....So stop the ridiculous talk..one was the bus driver and one was definetly a passenger...you figure it out

Acho whole premise is wrong. The 49ers actually HAVE attempted to get the franchise qb by trading for jimmy g and paying him $100M+. That didnt work so they traded THREE 1st round picks for a qb. That tells me they are in fact attempting to get a qb. They lucked into Purdy though.

49ers/Kyle/Purdy have the most to gain therefore the most to lose as well. Mahomes and Reid losing or winning the SB doesn’t really move the needle all that much at this point. Great, but not game changing for them.
If Kyle wins he finally gets credit and praise and proves his style works. If Purdy wins that’s just huge historically on soo many levels. But most notably as Mr Irrelevant. Before Purdy was drafted all Mr Irrelevants combined never played more then 70 snaps in games. I believe no QB drafted in 7th round had even thrown a pass in NFL games before. If he comes in as last pick of draft and leads his team to a SuperBowl victory in only his 2nd year while having an MVP caliber year. That rewrites soo many narratives and outlooks going forward.
