At least finally a not entirely negative review. I am tired of youtubers copying the reviews and complains of bigger sides like upload and stuff. While i agree that its obviously not as good we have been hoping for, i am most likely getting it when its 25 to 30% off. Thanks for your (re)view and for not just blind following what a few others say :)
Not to sound arrogant, but we really don’t pay attention to other reviews :) Not to dismiss them, but just to approach each game with a fresh mind! Sorry some of the reviews seem ‘negative’, but we have to help viewers determine where to best spend their money, so if something’s a lemon, we won’t shy away from calling it one :) Thank you for your kind words!
Quality review! I’m having fun with the game despite the genre not really being my bag. I agree that there is a bit too much hand holding as I suck pretty bad at it so far but am still managing to stumble through the levels. The voice acting is great indeed, and the chunky weapons make me feel like a badass. Strong female leads rock :)
Well, i guess i'll pass this one. Looks like a "ok" game that doesn't really use the VR medium to accomplish anything and could easily be played on a flat screen without losing anything. Pistol Whip is the only rail shooter i need for now haha. It drives me crazy looking at games like this, that look and play like a PS1/PS2 era shooter (They are fun, of course, but we already came too far to go back to that level of game design). We have something incredible in VR and developers make games that feel like they were made 15 years ago and ported to VR lol. Anw, great review as always and i guess a 7 is fair.
Thank you :) It's possible that once a big name franchise is involved, developers get lazy? No clue. Remember how bad movie-based games and comic-book games used to be until Batman came along and we were all in awe?
@@MrBeetsGaming I understand what you are talking about but i am not talking only about graphics, but about gameplay and game design. Just play Boneworks or Alyx and then come back and play one of these game. Even Asgards Wrath that is the "top game" from Oculus, the game is just old looking and feeling
@@shippous yeah there isn't exactly a lot of innovation. Unfortunately thanks to facebook I think that's gonna be an issue for awhile. I really wish nintendo would get involved in vr again
@@6DOFReviews yeah, I saw that literally right after I commented that 😂 I guess you could say that was instant karma, and I have to admit I agree that there aren’t enough games with good melee in quest which is a shame with how amazing good melee in VR is
Absolutely true :) That's why Arizona Sunshine got a pretty good review from Doc despite him joking about the graphics looking like they're from a game made in 2003!
@@6DOFReviews just played 2 mission of Battle Sisters, there is nothing like it on PC. I have been in VR on PC for the past 4 years. It looks amazing, but the game is super fun.
I have to say this looks like a 10-15$ generic game with enemies charging head on, and not that good combat mechanics. Too bad, I was looking forward to this. Thanks for the review though!
You're welcome and thanks for watching! It is somewhat generic, and Pete does say so in the review :) As for the price, a lower price point might've been more appropriate :)
To be honest, it's kind of weird to hear praise for mechanics and graphics, while the game on screen looks so ugly and the gameplay looks so dull and lifeless. It's like you are talking about a different game entirely. I know, looking at it isn't the same as playing it ... but it doesn't look any good at all.
To be honest, there was some debate within the team about this one, but personally I had fun with Battle Sister. As I said in the review, it's not bringing anything new to the table, but overall my experience with it was enjoyable. I stand by my praise (and my criticism) but I totally accept that other people will have a differing view.
@@peteaustin5472 You played it, I just watched a video. So until I get my hands on it, your opinion on it is infinitely more valid than my mere observation ;) So, maybe on a sale. I surely wish they would allow us to play a demo...
@@TheHatwolf having played through the game I'd say this review is fairly accurate it's simple fun, there are a couple rough edges but there are probably other games that will give you more bang for you buck.
To be fair, a 7 isn't too bad on our scale. We really do try to rate things from 1-10, unlike some reviewers who seem to have a scale that only goes from 6-10! Pete did enjoy the game, and he's not a longtime Warhammer fan!

They look like old games because it takes a lot to run VR. You're running multiple high resolution displays at 90+ fps

@@MrBeetsGaming Yeah, i guess so.
Anw, i feel like this game can be fun to play, not a BAD game per see. Good chat!
Did the dude just say that the melee on all quest games are bad, did he never play lies beneath or walking dead on story mode
Pete literally says The Walking Dead has the best melee combat - see 05:25 :)

Haha :) No harm done! Until You Fall at least has the weapons connecting with each other :)
Sacrifice on the alter of mediocrity lol 👏😊
ive got too many better games wishlisted. I'll wait for a deep sale or updates.
Good problem to have! We remember when people were complaining about the dearth of good titles on the Quest!
The graphics are not that important in VR, the emotion, the feelings and the fun are.
