Why is that all vr games when you turn around or walk I feel dizzy. Even for a second..is it only me?

I think your bigging it up abit too much its not that good its a little awkward to control its not a bad game just not as good as what your making it out to be.

How's the dizziness factor on this game, though? Just picked up a psvr2 on sale a few days ago. Shooters in VR seem to take more brain adjustment time than the other games Ive played. Should it get better, or maybe avoid shooters in VR?

Ridiculous graphics. Over $400 for the system and the only game I am interested in has beginner graphics? It's 2024. The graphics for Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee puts this game to shame and Abe was released in 1997.

I don't think Sierra did point and click until the '90s. From memory they were all text parser in the '80s. I was actually slightly disappointed with the shift to point and click with King's Quest 5 from memory. While I preferred the humour and storytelling of the early point and click titles like Lucasarts Maniac Mansion, believe it or not I actually preferred the text parser for problem solving gameplay. More challenging since it added the word puzzle aspect. I haven't actually played this game, because my sense of nostalgia just isn't that strong. I did very much enjoy reading Ken and Roberta's blog about making it though.

first time i heard of this games. sounds like a prime vr game before it's time. exploration, puzzles, something to take your time and sink into.

Riven VR is one of those rare titles where your jaw hurts after being dropped so wide and so often. It is a complete mystery to me why so many VR youtubers have been ignoring this VR marvel. Atrocious. It not just a great VR game, it's one of the best of the best, almost life-changing. I am talking about PCVR, of course.

I honestly cannot comprehend why your reviews are not garnering tens of thousands of views! Fantastically narrated, highly organized, useful information! At any rate, you've got one more drop in the bucket of a subscriber and I sincerely hope you stick with this, because good, well presented and informative reviews of VR games are difficult to come by. Thank you for what you do!

Is this an ON GOING play type game or is this a story line type of experience that comes to an end ?

Amazing review! I purchased the PCVR version but ran into issues and returned it. I plan to buy it again once I've upgraded my hardware and am hopefully able to overcome those issues. This remake brings back memories of old school CDROM games like MYST and The Journeyman Project but done in such a wonderful and beautiful new way. I didn't get to spend much time there, but I definitely intend to go back to Riven... even if I have to buy new hardware to do it. Thank you for this incredible review!

I played it first on my flat wide screen of 2560x1080. Absolutely gorgeous. Then I played the PCVR version on my Quest 2. The reduction in every graphical aspect was quite disappointing. I guess it would've been okay if I hadn't already played it on my flat screen. Anyway, I played Riven in 1997 and it grew on me, becoming my favorite computer game. Riven 2024 has surpassed the original. Great great achievement Cyan!

Some people say remake is money grab but not this one. They basically remade the game from 2d images

The new Riven is an absolute triumph. The 1997 version holds a very special place in many people's hearts and Cyan somehow lived up to the impossible and arguably surprised the original with this new version. I highly recommend it to everyone as well! I played on PC and it was absolutely stunning.

Is there teleport movment? I can't play anything else...
