An incredible breed! My family got one when I was 10 years old, and we were inseparable. Since they’re so versatile I was able to try all kinds of dog sports with her, and she LOVED them all. As long as she got to do it with me she was onboard for anything.
I have a Danish Swedish Farmdog/Chihuahua mix. She has the face of a chihuahua but the coat of DSF and of course she barks more than a DSF but not as much as a chihuahua. She’s a wonderful mix. Very cuddly and friendly.

I grew up around these. They are good at jumping and will appear on your dining table if you dont push in your chairs. In some cases you will need higher tables as they can jump quite high for their size.
We can leave food or even his treats on the edge of the coffee table, and he doesn’t touch it.. But if given permission he can even reach the bar counter.. 😅
I have heard mine bark properly once at me entering the house at night... Then she looked really ashamed of herself after, even though all she got was praise. Then she also barks at the grass trimmer, but other than that, I have never heard her bark.
It's funny, my old man has one at his place, the thing loves me, never had a problem - But one day after a job, I got into the house first, and she would NOT stop barking at me until she realized my dad was there as well. Might be something interesting to try, give your key to a friend and have them "come home" first, with you out of sight. You may have a good guard dog without knowing it :)
@@mortenrl1946 she has had people come in while home alone now, she treats everyone like it's a long lost friend finally home from a visit. But! I do have a few new bark condition too! One is if the wood stove starts to let smoke out into the house instead of through the chimney. The other is when we are sitting in the greenhouse and the sun is going down. If someone bikes or runs by in the road outside, then she will bark at it, but not as loudly as she does at the grass trimmer.

My bf is convinced that our Chihuahua is has some DSF in her, is there any DNA test that anyone recommends as I'm not 100% convinced without scientific proof lol
They seem to be lovely companions, but my heart will always belong to Rhodesian Ridgebacks. I'd like to meet a Canis Panther one day. If I were ever to add one to my family, I'd prefer not to crop their ears and tail
Can not handle the narrators lisp or ways of not speaking propellers I’m Swedish and even I can pronounce swe-diSH correctly and not swedich as he says. I also reacted several times at other words. This is a BIG negative for me and I can’t watch this video to it’s end unfortunately. Change narrator on your channel please.

Mine only ever barks when we play with a ball or when she sees a cat outside. She is a very quiet dog!
