bought one last year sure beats the hell outta trying to pull an otter resort by hand. Only issue I had was the muffler bolt studs like to back out of the block. with me all the gear and a kid it works like a charm. A little slow in deeper snow, but for the cost you really cant beat it
I'm considering building one, off season. I think I've defeated most of the gremlins that my sled has from sitting for a few years. Nice machine but way too much for what I want. You hit the big reasons.
I will eventually get a newer Yamaha sled for longer runs in more isolated areas I plan on hitting but not for a while. Storage is the main issue right now and the Snowdog does a great job at ice fishing. Thanks for watching!
@MonkeyOnMyBack Outdoors Yea my machine is an 03 Arctic Cat 900. It goes great, but wow I want a low and slow machine. I do have videos of me acting like a teenager that I'm definitely not!
I have one just like yours, and everything you've gone over your exactly right, fuel efficient too, I studded my track with kold kutters what a difference, put on heated hand grips and I use my lawnmower battery, the one that came with the snowdog I feel is too small.
Thank you bud. I certainly do appreciate your support! I haven’t studded my tracks yet to save my shed, ramp and garage from getting too scratched up, though I’ve thought of it! I do feel a battery with more capacity wouldn’t hurt. I’ve also been eyeing some hand grip warmer kits. 😂 Tight lines and be safe on the ice!
It is a tad wobbly but I have had no issues the past two seasons. The only concern would be the leverage it puts on the rear suspension. 320 lbs of weight held 4-5 feet back from the rear of the bumper. I had to get a set of RAS Leaf Spring helpers for my Tundra.
They can get up to around 18 mph. Prices can be found at www.snowdog.com or use the link in the description to find a dealer near you. Thanks for watching!
@@MonkeyOnMyBackOutdoorsi see the review of this rack mentioned the rack has sag issue after put the snow dog now. We had another rack, same problem... End up need to use a trailer instead
@@benjiang6493 I’ve been using it for three seasons now no problems. The sag issues I had were from the suspension leaf springs which I resolved with RAS helper springs. It is 320 lbs leveraged 4-6ft behind the rear axel. That is a lot of leverage on the suspension.
I live in MN and got mine through Central Power Distributors based in Ankeny, IA (linked in the description). There is a locator on the website. Otherwise www.snowdog.com has a dealer locator as well.
The lever on the cvt transmission is what the rear lever connects to. You may need to adjust the cable or it may be sticky inside the cable sleeve. Some people run a lubricant through the cable jacket to loosen it up and get rid of trapped moisture in the cable jacket.
Great question. On this particular model the engine mount may slide a bit loosening the chain. The chain is tensioned by sliding the engine mount plate back and tightening the mount plate bolts. This is not too much of an issue and the design was improved to resolve this on the white “sport” model. Other than that the machine has been fairly trouble free.
Hello there! Here is the gas can I used: Esploratori 5L 1.3 Gallon Gas Can Fuel Oil Petrol Storage Cans Emergency Backup Tank with Mounting Bracket for Car Motorcycle UTV SUV ATV Off Road Most Cars (Red) a.co/d/fhXERJ5 A tank of fuel 1.7 gallons lasts me for more than I’ve ever needed. Great video. These things actually look pretty fun. Nice job. Thanks for sharing.
They are certainly fun and a kind of a niche vehicle. Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for watching!

I have one and I love it, I can go a couple of days on the ice with mind. great video
The feeling is mutual! Wouldn’t trade it for anything of equal value! Thank you for the feedback and for watching!
I'm sold. Love your videos sir!
Thank you! 👊

I made a creeper cart for the snowdog to move it around the garage, so I'm not scratching up my cement floor
How much $ are they?
@@johngardner3441 go check them out at www.snowdog.com. There are a few models with different price points.
Convinced me to want one
Hey these look pretty neat. Might be more feasible for me to get one of these
Totally something worth looking into! Good luck!
What type of hitch rack do you own? I need to grab one for mine now! Well-produced and informative video.
It’s linked in the description. Thanks for watching!
What are you doing for rod storage? Thanks for your videos!
I have a Clam 4 rod holder right on the inside lip of the cargo area facing my livescope. Thank you for supporting the channel!
Where did you get the Blue colored Livescope Pole handle?
It was custom printed by my brother to mirror the LVS-32.
Nice video
Need one with all your mods you did to it
I can certainly put that into the queue! Thank you for your feedback!
Do you have to register these as snowmobiles?
Not in Minnesota…..yet. 🤫
Thanks for the video!!
Thank you for watching!
Good job, man!! Thank you :-)
👊😉👍 No problem!
Hi. In Your opinion this hitch carrier is enough strong to travel with 310lb snowdog on this ?

What clamps are you using for your live scope on the handlebars?
I can’t seem to remember the brand it’s been a while. I had to modify it a little but got it to work. DM me and I’ll send you a closeup.

Looking at a 2017 model with reverse but you need to engage the lever in the front of the machine. Any experience with this?

what model is this?
Utility B13 MER
Did you go out yet? :)
Not yet this year. Not enough ice yet for the snowdog. If I go out it’ll be on foot.
Awsum!!!!!!!”;-)”
Why does no one in these snow dog videos mention "what they cost !!"
The parallels in cost was mentioned in regards to the age of the vehicles versus the price range.
Why didn't you give the price of the snowdog?
You can find it at www.snowdog.com or at a nearby dealer. Prices are always subject to change by economy.
Yeah yeah.....bs......try that when theres 18" of snow on top of the ice.....its junk
Did fine all last winter. Tons of snow and slush. 8” of slush with 6” of snow on top.
