Awesome! The OG Mequiars NXT Paste wax was on of my favorites. I used to clay then machine polish with Mother’s Reflections synthetic high gloss wax (now discontinued) and let it cure over night, Then, top with the NXT paste wax the following day. The silver paint looked so good with that combo. Cheers!!
I always liked the 2.0 version. I never had the original liquid, but I did have the paste. I currently have the professional version M21 2.0 Synthetic Sealant. These days I'm mostly using Optimum Opti-Seal for a sealant.
I'm waxing my car now, I had meguiats glass medallion, best stuff ever. I bought this nxt stuff and was not as good. I haven't used it like you said for 14 years. Last few years I've been using turtle wax paste wax. Tonight though I'm giving the nxt original a try
JB, That’s one shiny truck! I’ll be trying that wax since I have a Tundra so a bit more surface area. I need something easy so I dont spend all day waxing. BTW, I would have suggested to use that crusty applicator to apply wax anywhere near the bottom areas of the truck like rockers and bumpers. Seems like I always fail to get those areas perfectly clean. Best to dedicate cleaning/waxing items for use just there as to prevent waxing dirt into paint above.
Thanks David! This wax will be great for your tundra! If you don’t want to lose an entire day to waxing your vehicle this is the perfect wax to use. Good idea with the old pad. I will keep it for rocker panels and other high impact areas! What year is your tundra? Those are great trucks! You’re an awesome fan my friend! 👍
Hey Rex! I’m not totally sure! Try it on a small (less visible) area and see how it does! This is generally a pretty safe wax. I don’t imagine it being a problem. Let me know what you find out. Thanks for watching!
