The top dogs usually look down their noses at the underdogs. However, the team at the top might underperform due to choking. On the flip side, the underdogs could perform better than the top dogs because there is not a lot of expectation, and they can play naturally.

Being under pressure often leads people to underperform. It's not easy not to be anxious when you are expected to win

The top dogs can look their noses at the underdogs. They get used to winning, so they believe that they can do it. On the flip side, the top dogs sometimes experience choking because many audiences expect them to win, which leads them to underperform. Whereas, the underdogs don’t experience any expectation or hard pressure, they are able to play naturally and win, then they are promoted from non-league to the Premier league.

I don't think so. This doesn't explain why everyone in the world must love the US, the world superpower, at the risk of being labelled and discredited as "anti-American". The BBC loves the US too, especially when it's about wars. How do you explain that?
