Just got one and it is amazing. Everyone has things they feel are of value. Getting the job done with as little fuss and hassle as possible is of great value to me. This EGO trimmer takes a lot of fuss and hassle out of yard trimming job. You don't have to hassle with line feed and feeding new line is a breeze with the power feed. The trimmer is well balanced and powerful. Unlike a gas trimmer you don't have to deal with the constant running sound of the engine and you can turn it every witch way without worrying about fuel making it to the engine. My mowing and trimming is around 1 acre with lots of chain link fencing and concrete/brick. For my needs and application this is by far superior to others I have tried.

I started it while holding it level, didnt want to tilt it too much, and even felt I didnt want the trimmer to stop running because part of my brain was thinking I'd have to start it again.

I got one yesterday, took it out of the box, set it up, and let the battery charge while I used my lawnmowers battery since it was ready to go. Took this sucker out, and my yard looks amazing. The one thing I liked the most was I have a curb that hasn't gotten much love, so it was covered in dirt and weeds. The trimmer whacked all the dirt and foliage off and left a curb that's waiting for rain to wash off the rest. Edging with this trimmer is amazing. Even my neighbor said, "Wow, I didn't even know there was a curb there 😂 super happy with it.
Pretty heavily invested in Ego for my gardening business, I do really like their tools. I'm currently using the power head and trimmer attachment and it's a beast!
I got this model the other day and it is just amazing as all of the videos make it seem. But there is one unadvertised feature that no one seems to notice or mention. On top of the main unit where the battery goes, the area where I usually brace my forearm to steady the trimmer is wide and flat and at the perfect angle for the forearm to rest. And since it's battery powered, it doesn't get hot like on the gas trimmers. Even other battery powered ones often have sharp, square edges to the housing in that area.

Hi Brett! Thank you for the review. I went and bought one last night. Used it today and I love this thing. Lots of power. Battery life was perfect for my small yard. I have plenty of battery left for the next trimming. The line IQ feature is amazing. No more messing with line issues or bump feed. And the power line load worked perfectly. Very happy so far.
Great review, very informative, and helpful. I am retiring my 15-year-old Stihl gas trimmer and replacing it with this EGO unit. We mow 2 acres of our 10 in rural Rochester, MN. Many trees, gardens, fencing, landscaping features, and a 350-foot driveway all demanding trimming. Seems this trimmer with the 4-amp hour battery will do the job. I really like the Line IQ and power load features. Field repairs with the Stihl for running out of line and occasional hard starting are challenges I hope to avoid with the EGO. We will continue to use our larger commercial grade Stihl trimmer with the saw blade for really big weeds and saplings. I have many Stihl products, and all have performed well. However, the technology is walking away from gas powered tools as evidenced by the two hybrids (one of which is a PHEV) parked in our garage. Time to move on. Thanks again.
I just got one of these and it blows the old "power feed" model I have away!!!! I only use it on low power since it works SO! well...The extra $100 is not even a thought! It's a must buy unit!! I HATE fighting with bump head trimmers!!!! LOVE IT!!
Bought one. Performance has been great. Battery life is great for my 1 acre property. Lowes had an offer going which included a second battery. The unit comes with one battery and a charger. It works flawlessly every time. Highly recommended. Well worth the price.
Thanks for the review. I bought this trimmer overs a month ago after selling the older but EGO’s lightest carbon fibre trimmer due to its design was more catered towards taller people and I absolutely love the Line IQ feature which I have been missing since I sold my old cordless Black & Decker trimmer with AFS(automatic feed spool) feature four years ago. It is expansive as a kit; however, for the people who already has EGO product they should just buy the tool only which is still a great buy vs last year’s telescope model with tool only. Even though this unit is carbon fibre it is actually a hair heavier than the last year’s aluminum telescope model and spins a bit slower due to the heavier mechanics of the IQ head; however, for me the Line IQ feature actually speeds up the work flow especially when edging without the need of flipping the unit back to regular trimming position in order to be able to bump the head a few times to be sure the lines out while creating few alien crop circles aka “bald spots” along the line of the edge of a freshly cut lawn 🤯. Using the strap is a treat compared to the old metal screw down fix ring as well. I can adjust the strap to balance the unit on the fly whenever I switch to difference size of battery depending on what batteries (modified “Select Cut High Lift Dual Blade” LM2142SP can take two batteries) I am using in the lawn mower between the 4.0, 5.0,7.5 & 10.0Ah batteries so I don’t have to walk back into the house just to grab the lightest battery to do a quick trimming job. Thank you for a great review; however, I would say: sell the older unit and get this one in tools only just to have the Line IQ feature to save time and basal of bumping the trimmer head which has cause many trimmer owner’s Power Load feature to stop working (I was able to fix mine by disassemble , thorough cleaning and reassemble once) if the owner already has battery and charger.
Good information, I was doing research on the Ego after getting an ace hardware flyer. And I came across your video just now, I am leaning towards getting one now.
Thanks for the review. We have been traveling the last 10 years and have been out of the land owner game for all that time BUT now we are buying again and the tool have changed so much in that time that I have to research them all. Heck back then I would have NEVER considered battery operated.
I got the $175 one 2.5 amp battery lasts 1/2 hr, bump head no issue, carbon fiber shaft , 15 in head, 10.5 lbs with battery, no adjustment on handle or shaft, 50 min to charge . 2x times to do whole yard. I’m 78 need rest day anyway. Same power as gas Echo.
Probably my last season with gas. I will be getting the higher ah mower and trimmer units just to account any battery degradation over time as I will run them at least 10yrs so the additional cost is worth it to me..Great review!!
Thanks for the review Brett. I am a commercial solo operator in Aussie land, and after using this for one day, I think I will be returning it. I have the old carbon fibre model which has not skipped a beat for two years almost daily solid use. I don't think I've used my multi tool head for the string trimmer option!! (I use it every day almost for hedge trimmer / power broom occasionally and my fav is the cultivator). The problem I have with this after one afternoon's use ( on 5 different commercial properties) is that my line is not auto feeding out to the original 400mm as claimed by EGO. I have tried different 2.4mm line, (no longer than 4 metres as per EGO instructions) but same issue; it has to be really short before it auto feeds back out. Maybe I have a faulty head from factory? (auto load line feed worked perfectly). I will check, but your idea of fence grinding it (and see if there are small pieces) was a good one, I will try this out tomorrow on a 3 acre property. Otherwise (as one other reviewer noted) you are paying in essence for a shorter line length trimmer. Otherwise the trimmer is perfect. I got approx: 45 mins heavy weed whacking out of a brand new 5 AH battery. The head speed is slower than the old carbon model but feels more durable, Maybe they are running this motor at 80-90% for longevity. Balance is outstanding. However the vibration is significant if the line is not evenly fed, which I experienced multiple times during the afternoon. I had to stop, reuse self retracting line feed, then wait for auto feed to do its thing to get the line even again. This solved the vibration issue, but if you are not using up line super quickly this could be a real pain. Overall after one afternoon of approx 4hrs use I found it disappointing. (Enough to instantly consider returning). I have multiple EGO equipment, 21 self propelled mower, (Replaced under warranty after 3 months commercial use), 2x hedge trimmers & power head with multiple attachments (faultless). Overall time is money as a contractor as you know. If you spend multiple minutes per job trying to get the auto 'IQ' feed to self extend the line to get it to the factory length, then give me a bump feed any day of the year. I also found the line would be always approx half- 1 inch from the cutter, and was pot luck whether or not it fed out to the correct length. Anyway I'll get back to you.... Cheers from Wes.
I was very excited to get this trimmer! Went to my local ACE and picked one up, read the instructions, put everything together, waited for the battery to fully charge, attached the battery, set my speed, pushed the lock forward, pulled the trigger and absolutely nothing happened, watched some videos did all the trouble shooting I could think of still nothing. And off course I did all this because by the time I did everything the support lines were closed!!! Bottom line, over $300 and I have a brick!!!!!! Very disappointed in EGO!!!!!!
I went and bought the Milwaukee trimmer last year. That was my first and only battery trimmer ever. Worked fine for awhile. Then issues with battery/motor overheating. Trimmer would shut off to protect motor from overheating before I could finish my average size yard. Had high hopes of getting rid of gas. Brought everything back and went back to gas trimmer. Looking at this unit and researching reviews for any overheating issues
I've never had any of those issues with any of my ego tools. Maybe look into ego. That's unfortunate to hear about the Milwaukee they usually make fantastic stuff!
I second Brett’s comment. I have used EGO tools for almost 5 years. Never had any problems with overheating. The only issue I’ve had, if you want to call it that, is my wife got a giant rock stuck in my single stage auger lol. I have the, I think, second gen power load trimmer. Runs flawless.
I ordered this recently when Amazon had it discounted for 10% off. I used it once so far. I thought i'd mention that people will want to remove the blue protective tape that is on both blades on the guard, though be careful since that protective tape is there for a reason and those blades are sharp. My older EGO trimmer is not that old to me but it is an old basic EGO model, maybe original, so the new one's carbon fiber shaft, auto-string loader, and auto string extender "LINE IQ" features seem worth it to me. It is a little heavy, but i'm ok with it. I have the 4 Ah battery and extended the shaft and adjusted the front grip so that it has a good balance for me. It seems powerful and I only used the low setting. Thanks for the review.
In the middle of doing my review of the ego line IQ and edger. The battery I got with mine is no good haha. Doesn’t charge. Doesn’t do anything 😂😂. Gotta drive back to ace in slc and swap it out for a replacement. Also, I resubscribed on this new account. Keep the great content coming, Brett.
You are a very very brave man to use a line trimmer while wearing a T-Shirt, short pants and no socks. Love the EGO products. They work superbly in every domestic situation I use them in. And the secret to optimum battery life is to trickle charge the batteries at least once a month with a standard EGO charger. Don't constantly hammer the batteries with the faster EGO chargers. Cheers from the Land Down Under.
@@carolebersole4025 The biggest factor you need to worry about is charging batteries when they are cold/freezing and when they are super hot. "Smart" chargers, especially with a fan should not greatly affect battery life when properly charging batteries in proper conditions. The heat from charging (faster chargers heat up battery and charger more) affects battery life mostly when batteries are cold/hot.
$300 is a lot to swallow, but if you already have a battery like from another EGO tool you already have, you can save yourself $80 and get the tool only (sold as the 1620T). I already have the 650 CFM leaf blower, so coulda gone that route myself, but the leaf blower always runs out of juice close to the end of the job, so having the extra battery made sense for me. And it's waaayyy cheaper to get the battery bundled.( $80 diff w/battery vs over $200 to buy it separately)
I am looking into these. Thanks for the video. EGO has a sale going on for a lot of their equipment. The sale for this one is if you get this newer model for the $300, they give you a 2.5ah battery free. They are doing the same thing for their higher end blower(765 CFM) Get the blower for $300 and get the 2.5ah battery free. Ironically, they have a deal, get this trimmer and the 765 blower as a bundle for $550, but you only get the one battery and charger in the bundle.. I am going to get them separately and spend the extra $50 to get the free battery.
I have many Ego products that I like but not this one. Immediately returned it. I thought this trimmer would replace my 10 yr old Echo SRM-225. Not a chance. The Ego is underpowered and slow to use compared to my Echo gas trimmer. Also the line iq only lengthens to line when it gets quite short. Much better to have a bump head to lengthen the line whenever you want. Only think better is the power load feature but I fill my trimmer line in about 60 seconds so not big deal. The head holds the motor so more weight in the head. They EGO and the Echo weigh the same but the Echo feels lighter because you aren't holding the weight of the heavy head. Obviously if you only have a small area to trim you won't notice the weight but on large trim jobs you feel the weight.
If you have the EGO CS1803 18" chainsaw with the 4.0aH battery, this is a no-brainer. You get the trimmer and another 4.0aH battery that can also be used to hot swap on your chainsaw for bigger sawing jobs.
There are two things I'm concerned with. I like a variable speed on the trigger itself when I need to be really careful in certain spots to not gouge up something, and I like the guard off for more string feed out making a wider cutting swath like the landscapers do. I'm thinking maybe the sensor would just limit the feed out to what it wants and won't let it out enough for what I want. Since I don't want to go back to a troublesome carburetor trimmer, I can live with certain lackings I guess.
Thanks for the review I’ve never had one before. I was checking them out ant I noticed the better hook to hang the trimmer easily and secure. The workmanship was impressive when I examined it. I didn’t want to spend $300 either. But the 16 has a heavier look at the head and I wondered if it real worked as advertised. Thanks So very much. Great testing video 👍👍
Bought the top mower and the powerload line IQ four days ago. It was pricey as you know but mower was $100 off at Lowe's for Father's Day. These suckers are awesome. I have severe spinal arthritis and this weed trimmer will be a game changer for me in terms of weight, and all the hassle with line. It will save actual working time outside which will mean less pain for me. Thanks for the video.
Question is how well will all the cool line features hold up to use and the dirt and grit that will invevitably happen. Obviously it going to have to be cleaned alot for everything to continue to operate properly. Again my friend thanks for the great video.
I don't know if it was last year's model, but almost a month ago we bought a lesser model that was part of a package with the blower (originally $300 and down to $200), and it was horrible. The bump didn't work more than half the time. We just picked up this one today. If it works as advertised the Line IQ is worth its $300 price tag in my opinion. It's also VERY nice that my wife and I no longer have to use an allen wrench to adjust the handle or length each time one of us uses it after the other.
Great review my friend! i bought one last week and I'm going to get it up and running this weekend. I have the 21' Ego mower and love it so I'm excited about adding my new trimmer to my yard work!! Oh and sooo much better than fussing with gas an oil!
I have this trimmer but don't like the auto feed line. I have a lawn business and wanted to run this without the guard which you can't do becasuse it doesn't have a bump head. how does power compare to the 1511t. They both have 2 speeds so I figured it was probably the same.
If the power load feature breaks can you do it manually? Which direction does the head spin? I saw two speeds but does it still have variable throttle speed?
Just ordered one for pickup today. I've been a Stihl user forever but as my gas equipment units die I will start to replace them with battery-operated ones. Should pay off in the long run especially since I run higher octane fuel in my small engine power equipment and gas prices are ridiculous.
One point I have considered in buying... I already have an EGO mower. I have found that often, if I let the yard grow out a little too much that the battery is dead before I finish the full lawn. Now if I also had this trimmer I would never come close to using a full charge in one mowing. So I could use what is left in this battery to finish up the remainder of what I didn't finish. Just a thought.
Two batteries. One to charge and one to deplete. I run my lawn service on this technique. Occasionally someone will ask me how long a battery lasts, I tell them I don't care because they're rechargeable. And if they persist, I let them know I have a couple of batteries with more than a thousand cycles on them.
For the last 18 months I've not let the lawn crew edge or use a weed eater in my back yard. th-cam.com/users/postUgkx_rBCFuDW1zD6blTGhLkvAkxU657uR_lG I didn't like the fact that they just kept cutting the edge of the lawn further and further from the rock lining the flower beds and leaving bare ground. And the grass was trimmed or scalped several feet around trees, etc. It was a constant battle with them so I told them to just mow and no trimming. I have Zoysia grass so it grows pretty slow. Obviously after a while it could use some trimming. I'm in my 80's so I can't do much of it myself. Finally I decided that if I could find a lightweight battery powered trimmer I might be able to do some light trimming. I decided to buy the LST201 20V trimmer. And it works great for my needs. I have back yard with about 150' of flower beds and several trees to be trimmed. I can lightly trim the whole yard with a single charge! The grass I trimmed was only a few inches high but the trimmer was more powerful than I expected.
Not working out for my lawn business as I’d hoped. The only flaw is the line IQ does not advance often enough as I need for effective use. When it is at the full length, it’s great, but spinning with a short line wastes my time and energy slowing me down. I mow 60 lawns per week, I can’t wait for a machine to decide to work. Any suggestions how to get a faster advance ….a smarter IQ, mine seems to have a low IQ?
I have this same trimmer but for the life of me i can't get it to work like you do in the video. The thing is extremely powerful but it doesn't seem to cut anything. Doing my fence line has been brutal. It will just blow the grass over and if i move it a little closer it starts marking up the fence and pulls the trimmer forward and jerks all over the place scalping everything. I've tried everything and can't figure it out. Never had a problem with my old black and decker.
Great video again Brett! But I think the bigger battery and i.q. string line head are worth the extra 100 bucks especially on a larger yard. Thanks for all your videos you are #1 in my book .thx Charlie
I’ve had this for 2 weeks and it’s amazing really. But the line iq on mine at least is hit or miss. I find myself wishing the line would come out already as I trim with tiny pieces of string and there is no way to make it come out so you just wait and hope it comes out soon. Hate that part of it
Love my Ego edger and thought about getting the trimmer attachment but my gas powered trimmer is still going. Not sure if the new head comes as an add on for the head unit. I like the clip for the strap as that battery gets heavy on the end after a while.
As I am a commercial guy what I do not like about it is it that it spins clockwise unlike the commercial weed whackers all spin counter clockwise so when your engine like you’re supposed to and walking backwards it’s all gonna go in your face it’s too bad they couldn’t make one that spins which ever way you want to
It would be really cool and honestly shouldn't be too hard to do with an electric motor to make it where you can decide which way the head spins. I would love to see that feature in the future.
@@Brettsgrasscapades We currently do 325 Alonso week we have all gas equipment right now with the gas prices we are really taking a little bit of a meeting we raise the prices but still only covers the fuel and labor not putting money in my own pocket would love to see some commercial battery operated machines that would last all day but I think that’s a little bit further into the future

I just got last years powerload trimmer for 130.00 brand new at our local ace hardware because they're going to this years version of the no bump and 16". I'll take that all day and bump the dang thing. As far as the inch? My wife has been telling me for 35 years that i come up a little short. Lol.
Hi Brett. I'm thinking on pulling the trigger on this model soon. Do you still recommend it? Any issues with it a year later from this review? Thanks for the great, informative videos.
I'd honestly recommend the previous model that doesn't have the auto feed. I find myself using that model far more often as the auto feed only auto feeds when it feels like it.
Well I saw the earlier review and picked up the st1511t, the day after I watched the st1623t review. Now feeling buyer remorse and conflicted. Although I am having a problem with the St1511t bump head system where string only comes out on one side, reloaded the string. working a tiny bit better but it seems like a issue with it. not sure if i should just return it and get the 1623. look forward to others chiming in.
I know this is an old video but the bulk of the expense for this trimmer IS the battery. If you are already in the ecosystem or you are planning on getting a different unit.....get just the trimmer without the btty or get an aftermarket battery and save.
I have a lawn service and only use ego tools. But I use an echo electric string trimmer. The reason: ego spins clockwise echo spins counterclockwise, and I am right-handed. This was a deal breaker for me, anyone who doesn't care which way it swings I would recommend the ego string trimmer.
I can understand that. I dont mind it spinning clockwise. I hope they make it to where you can choose which way it spins at some point. That would be a cool feature.
May I use your knowledge for a moment? I hesitate to buy a multitool brush cutter/string trimmer or the EGO IQ line. I want to use it for the sides (nettles, weed, etc.) of 1 hectare of meadow. What would you recommend? Thank you for the advice!

Good information, I was doing research on the Ego after getting an ace hardware flyer.
And I came across your video just now, I am leaning towards getting one now.
They have a deal on these now, if you get this newer model, they are throwing in a 2.5ah battery free. ($180 value) I am getting one!
Great review! I have been trying to decide whether to change from my gas powered trimmer and you sold me on the EGO. Thanks dude!!
I love mine, it's a beast, I use mine in the woods, trims everything I ask it to.
We just ordered the weed whacker & plan to share the battery from the leaf blower, which my husbands loves. Apparently, it has a ton of power!
Yeah, a sensor on the head of a weed eater seems ripe for failure. I'll stick with the bump head.
By far, this is 1 of the better video that covers this product. Great job & thank you! 🤝👍
I just purchased one (April 23) at Lowes $30 dollars off....yeah 👍👍 it's a awesome trimmer
Best present I ever bought for myself! All the guys in my culdesac have hedgetrimmer envy! 😂💯👍🏻
Great points! Thanks for watching!
Thanks for your comment on the charging strategy. I didn't know using the faster charger would reduce the battery life.
Wife bought one for father's day gift to me. Love it!
I have bought the exact same model with Line IQ after watching your review. You forgot to mention it’s an absolute beast!
Its worth it for sure! They never do sales like this so jump on it!
You will love it!
Hope you like it!
I have this trimmer but don't like the auto feed line. I have a lawn business and wanted to run this without the guard which you can't do becasuse it doesn't have a bump head. how does power compare to the 1511t. They both have 2 speeds so I figured it was probably the same.
Also. Thank you for showing how to load the string. Now I know
If the power load feature breaks can you do it manually? Which direction does the head spin? I saw two speeds but does it still have variable throttle speed?
Just ordered one for pickup today. I've been a Stihl user forever but as my gas equipment units die I will start to replace them with battery-operated ones. Should pay off in the long run especially since I run higher octane fuel in my small engine power equipment and gas prices are ridiculous.
Good review. I'm really enjoying mine that I bought last month. I run Mike on low speed all the time when using it on my St.Aug.
I'm a low speed guy as well. These things have so much torque yiu don't need the higher speed most of the time.
I'm able to weed eat my yard , change the battery to the multi tool edger , edge around the yard and do that 3x before I need to charge.
Thanks Brett for the video! I just got this trimmer for Christmas, can’t wait to use it!
Best unboxing ever. Opening scene. Leave it to" Mr. Review". Well done as always sir.
Thanks my friend!
The bueno dias hat got you a subscriber! Nice no BS review.
I purchased mine today and I’m excited to put it to work
You're gonna love it!
B&D has a battery trimmer with automatic feed (LST420) for years. Line IQ is new due to the sensor but not the automatic feed.
Great point!
The grass I trimmed was only a few inches high but the trimmer was more powerful than I expected.
i agree that if you have one already WITH at least the Power load feature I would pass on it. but if you are new to the EGO battery line, 100% get it.
That's fair to say!
Great video!! Thanks for posting this!!
While this looks like a nice piece of equipment I have a 15 year old sthil gas trimmer runs like a champ good video
Thanks for being honest.
Thank you for the review!
Tremendous review. Will you do the toro super recycler 21 inch 60 volt battery. Thanks
When others call it a beast, they’re not kidding. I have more strange weeds than grass and it goes through all of them. Rarely need the ‘turbo’ mode.
Wish they would have come out with this a few months ago
I just wish the head rotation was counter clockwise like most other trimmers.
Great video again Brett! But I think the bigger battery and i.q. string line head are worth the extra 100 bucks especially on a larger yard. Thanks for all your videos you are #1 in my book .thx Charlie
Thanks Charlie!
Great honest review. 👌
Thank you grace!
Your wife is gonna be mad. Lol. You helped me make an informed, unbiased decision. Thank you as always.
planning to pick up the bare tool option for this.
So what do you think about the string IQ thing? Does it really work?
I’m curious… why/when would you need to use a ‘Low’ speed as opposed to keeping it set to ‘High’?
Does the trimmer rotate to use as an edger for the lawn
They have this available without the battery and I own the 2.5 battery, what kind of runtime do you think I could expect?
Thanks for the info always a great show thanks again brother
Thank you sir
Can you use all The attachments on the IQ string trimmer?
Is that tool with that head suitable cutting blackberries and nettles?
And could I mount a blade on it if needed?
I’ve had this for 2 weeks and it’s amazing really. But the line iq on mine at least is hit or miss. I find myself wishing the line would come out already as I trim with tiny pieces of string and there is no way to make it come out so you just wait and hope it comes out soon. Hate that part of it
I've found that if I let go of the trigger and then press it again it helps it to come out faster. Agree though its not my favorite thing.
Love my Ego edger and thought about getting the trimmer attachment but my gas powered trimmer is still going. Not sure if the new head comes as an add on for the head unit. I like the clip for the strap as that battery gets heavy on the end after a while.
Great review Brett! It's a great trimmer but for 300 bucks it is a bit steep but it is a quality unit and it'll last for many years
Definitely agree Andy! Thanks for watching!
@@Brettsgrasscapades get en echo srm-2620 or stihl fs91 and call it a day.
300 is not steep..ppl waste more a year eating out and buying junk..
@@robsolo4024 I think the tech is there it's just expensive right now. In the next few years it will come down significantly I bet.
@@Brettsgrasscapades I should be retired in five years lol so it would be for the next in line who takes over my business I am in New York so I’ll be heading down south
I also can’t see electric being for a blower like the red max 8550s that we use so much power comes out of them electric would have to be probably so heavy
Can I use the battery for my ego lawnmower too?
I just got last years powerload trimmer for 130.00 brand new at our local ace hardware because they're going to this years version of the no bump and 16". I'll take that all day and bump the dang thing. As far as the inch? My wife has been telling me for 35 years that i come up a little short. Lol.
😂😂😂
You should get paid by EGO, I literally bought one because of your review , Thanks!
Lol I'll pass this along to them 😂
Headlo gyoje ganeung habnikka?
hello. Can ST1620 Line IQ Head be interchanged with ST1520 Bump Head?
That's a sweet trimmer! I hope your ankles didn't take too much of a beating.
I survived!
The ego string has a color change at midway point so you don't have to find halfway by holding ends together
Ego thinks of everything!
Does the head of the trimmer turn clockwise or counter clockwise like other trimmers?
Bravo my friend!
Excellent review 👍 👍
Thanks George!
that trimmer is a beast
15” Carbon fiber has a 4ah battery… is it better to get the telescoping aluminum 15” with the 2.5ah battery?
Well I saw the earlier review and picked up the st1511t, the day after I watched the st1623t review. Now feeling buyer remorse and conflicted. Although I am having a problem with the St1511t bump head system where string only comes out on one side, reloaded the string. working a tiny bit better but it seems like a issue with it. not sure if i should just return it and get the 1623. look forward to others chiming in.
I prefer the 1511 but if it’s not functioning correctly return it and get a new one.
Milwaukee's string trimmer comes with a 9-amp-hour battery. I own one.
@@Brettsgrasscapades the Milwaukee string trimmer has that feature.
Will Line IQ work without the guard installed?
I just checked it out yesterday: 499€ in Europe which is aprox 550$😆
May I use your knowledge for a moment? I hesitate to buy a multitool brush cutter/string trimmer or the EGO IQ line. I want to use it for the sides (nettles, weed, etc.) of 1 hectare of meadow. What would you recommend? Thank you for the advice!
How long is the run time? How long to reach full charge?
I have the Dewalt and bumping the head is a big problem I have to buy 2 heads every year because they wair out
I'm not into electric but I ran out of gas in the middle of cutting my yard had to stop go to the gas station.so I decided to get a battery one for a back up I got the ego very ice looking weedeater but it did not last I have a half acre I got like 10 min out of it so I brought it back and got another one same thing so I got a greenworks I can actually do my yard twice with it before I charge.what are the chances of me getting 2 bad batteries from eco
Thats odd. I've never had this experience at all. All my batteries work really well.
Great review Brett. Looks like a very nice trimmer!
Thank you sir!
