In this video i will review new engraver i got from neje to test, it's NEJE 3 MAX with A40640 laser modul.
i can easily say that it's the best machine i try so far, got amazing working area, powerfull laser modul for cutting and with upgrades on neje 3 hit right to the point when they add things people need not some fancy sh..t but they add air assist valve, relay and emergency button, + they made entire machine more ridgit and add a cable chain, so machine is really at next level, and most amazing out of all is that it start at 409$ + you will get extra height adjuster, belt tensioners and metal air assist noozle, specially for that laser modul.

I've been having the same issue, I'm going to do what he did today and see if that fixes it
It should work, mine never stops since this mod, also new version of neje 3 max already got adittional ground wire.
I love their laser modules, I've been using the A40640 laser module for a year and I'm always happy with its performance. Now NEJE has a new E40 module, I heard that it can cut metal, but I haven't tried it yet.
Hello, still wait to get E40 on test, actually it is the same modul as E40640 but it's make to last longer, E40640 can give 10-12w pulsed (that's why neje advice tu run them on 80% laser power max) E40 is secured to not go over 10w, so it should get same power but last long for long time cutting with full power and seriall work.

At this size it would be really interesting to see how well it cuts thicker plywood(8-15mm) with a single pass and with multiple passes, given the size of the cutting area you could genuinely use this for some rather large structures made from interlocking/bolted/glued together pieces(small boat frames, furniture etc.)
I will make some more test in video about all the neje laser moduls but still wait on some moduls to get.
@@TinC33 Seeing if it can cut flooring laminate would also be very interesting as it is an amazingly strong and versatile material that is cheap and readily available(basically most things you can make from 1-2mm sheet-metal or 4-5mm alu-plate can be made from 7-8mm laminate)
Impressive machine! 👍Only you can show us every detail as you reviewed all the previous models and you have the know how after testing so many laser machines. I think you can mount these machines blindfolded...😉or at least you have some skills 6:09

I have a question for an expert like you !
We purchased on January 2023, a NEJE 3 Max laser tool with rail extension kit that we installed in a properly accessorized box.
A Win 10 desktop PC is used to communicate with the laser tool via Lightburn.
Firmwares were up-to-date, so we didn’t update them.
1- We set the machine to work on an area of 740 x 960 and not 810 x 1030, because we found that movements beyond these limits could cause collisions with the frame and the gears
(which can unscrew the screws which hold the laser module on its support and cause the module to fall).
2- We tried to use the laser and for the moment, we can say that it isn’t a success :
• Most of the time, the laser tool starts its work, then stops without lightburn indicating an error or the state being Busy or Ready.
o The laser tool doesn’t react to any commands in lightburn.
=> We are forced to disconnect / reconnect the USB cable (with an extension cable), even to turn off the laser, to juggle with the COM port and at worst to restart lightburn.
• The few cut jobs on kraft paper that did work weren't great, as it took 10 passes at 100% power.
o The A40640 II laser module is mounted with the new air_assist nozzle without the compressor being connected for the moment.
o The focus adjustment is done as you indicate in the wiki (25mm between the taper and the bottom of the module + 5mm distance with the paper)
=> As a result, we have the feeling that the laser is not working at its full power.
Please, do you have any solutions to these issues ?
Do we need to ground all the components like you did?

If laser stop working it's deffinitely a ground problem, connect motors housings and laser housing to negative wire and that's it.
If laser seem to be weak it's most common a dirty lens or bed focus, dont trust the measures because every modul can heave a bit different pozittion of lens, take glasses and a green screen look into laser dot and try to set smallest possible dot, than make a few test so you change position for 1mm in booth directions when you get your best settings measure distance and then use that distance mine is i thing 17 or 19mm from wood surface to aluminium modul housing.
I still didn't unpacked my extension kit so i can't tell you the solution about...

@TinC33 Hello Tinc33, For the laser power issue, I found the S-value max setting set to 1000 in Devise settings under lightburn. By passing it to 10000, it works much better ! Do you think it's a good idea to change this setting ? Is there another place that would allow me to adjust the power without touching this S1000 parameter ?
@@TuckerTheCocker sure it must to be on 1000, thats also mention in neje manual somewhere, originally is 250 if i remember right, so laser only work with 25% of power even if you set on 100% 😉
For that relay, did you end up using it to switch on and off your compressor? I'm wondering if it's okay to just let the compressor run all the time, and let the air-assist relay handle the on/off of the air flow. Edit: I wish I had found your channel before I bought my unit so I could have used your affiliate link! Your videos are extremely informative
Thanks, depend on what type of compressor you use, every basic compressor got preassure switch so it turn on when preassure is below 4 bar and turn off when preassure is about 8bar, so yes compressor is constantly turned on airassist only turning on the air when cutter need it.
Can a roller be used with this laser engraver? if so which model of roller can be used to engrave on bottles and rounded objects?
15:56 better to have a separate cutting head set up properly for the job...
Hello! Thank you for everything. I couldn't make installation assembly without this video. I couldn't find the settings for brass. I tried tons of different options but still unsuccessful 🥺 Do you know the settings for brass with distance, focal and speed/power parameters?
I think it won't work on brass, you can try with some markers, but i think painting and then engrave paint is the only way 🤷♂️
Are you sure the aluminium frame is 15mm x 30mm V-slot? Is it not perhaps 20 x 40mm? I was hoping to get this machine and the extend it myself because 20 x 40mm V-slot is easy to get where I live. However 15 x 30mm is very hard to find where I live. I look forward to your reply.

Hi, amazing things, please can you share what parameters you use to cut 3mm plywood and what distance from laser head lower point to plywood when lens fully skewed in

fully screwed lens isn't good for cutting, so try to unscrew for about 1turn and set focus to about 17mm from material to aluminium heatsink, 100% laser power and 10mm/s should cut 3mm plywood in 1 pass.
My dad has this laser. He has bought an extension kit to make the laser engrave area larger. Do you have any advice on how to change the settings so that the laser can now cover the extension area aswell as the original coverage area ?
I didn't upgrade yet but that should be simply, open neje app on a pc and go to settings menu (gear icon) than simply type new numbers in area size field.
Also can do that in lightburn i think machine settings and write x and y size into firmware.

Hello you can check for the focus firstly and step settings for line width, you set how narrow y line is it can engrave line each 0,05mm 0,1 or 0,2 for faster engrave...
just out of curiosity ive broken my A40630 with air assist, is the A40640 a straight swap by any chance, thanks
how do you broken them with air assit?
sure you can easily replace the modul with a single screw, cable and everithing stay the same, in worst case you'll need to replace the power supply, but i think 4A is enough to run A40640 wich is best laser i try, much better than E40
Can you tell me what the black rubber patches are for ?
For stick it under the aluminium leg so if you got it on wooden table it won't slip in case you want to screw machine on the table.

Don't beleive all the hype. NEJE doesn't honor their stated warranty. I went thru their "send me a video" troubleshooting 3 times and they said they would send me another control board. Never arrived and wanted me to start over again.. They want you to give up. I would by anything else. I paid $600 and it was worthless 2 months later
I hear that neje got issues with warranty, i thing it's bad for such a good brand.

Zakaj misliš spemajo, ja dobim jih zastonj, ogledi so super, odzivi gledalcev še boljši, veliko pomagam tudi po mailu in drugih kanalih, prodaja tudi torej win win win situacija, verjamem pa da bi naročniki raje videli da se kaj naredi, sej bo ampak trenutno sem v nekem cudnem obdobju, še tele nejete komaj posnamem ko me zasipajo z paketi 🤔
