They are definitely not low maintenance pets. They make a mess with hay everywhere. If you can put up with hay everywhere and exotic vet bills and a life expectancy of 10 years plus, then go ahead and get a bunny. I love my bunny mess and all.
As a free roam bunny, yes he’s not low maintenance. Some people have a caged bunny which probably makes it easier for them. I honestly suggest to keep your bunny a free roamer since they’ll be happier.
