Jomboy is often praised for his wit and his lip-reading skills (both exceptional!) but what is often overlooked is his skill for storytelling and editing. I studied film, and this stuff isn’t easy. He’s got a huge shot list and a ton of B-roll to work with; and he’s essentially making a series of tight, 4-minute short films. Some people say he’s bound for a career in broadcasting, but I hope not. His stuff is definitely more Ken Burns than Joe Buck.

Like tagging and scoring on a foul out to the catcher because no one covered home, Baez running back to home on a ground ball to first and ending up on second, and now this. It’s more than athletic prowess, although it is that for sure. It’s really smart baseball. The player at bat had caused the infield to shift to the right, so the third baseman was halfway to second base and back. Randy saw this, saw the quirk of the pitcher, and exploited it. His lead off third base (his starting point) was halfway to home. Then he only had to wait for the pitcher to turn his back.

That said, it's been a fun rivalry the last several years and if the Sox do in fact upset the Rays I'll definitely be pulling for them ahead of the Asterisks (for obvious reasons) or White Sox (because La Russa is a giant tool). With the Rays current pitching situation I'm making absolutely no assumptions about what may happen the rest of the series, as evidenced by giving up 0, then 14 runs in consecutive games.

Props to him for taking every advantage outta that but damn man he shoulda been 0-2 to start that. MLB umpires need to be held to yearly eye tests, physicals and even simulated replay reviews. They shouldn't be blowing easy calls on the biggest stage so nonchalantly. That's the bottom line. Refs in hockey, soccer and nba need to adhere to a certain level of physicality in order to stay with the game, but mlb umps be 70+ fat as fuck and temperamental. Rays won that no doubt, but it's not the 70's anymore, basic errors shouldn't be tolerated any longer.

Then become an umpire and show us how it is done. It is easy to say it is easy, prove your point. Go and become that perfect umpire who gets every call right. Don't let human error or mass distractions in your way, be the perfect one. I mean based on everyone and thier non-professional opinion, it should be easy. I am not that brave, I understand human error and would never say I could do better. However, you are that exception and could change the game forever with your skills. It's not like you would ever screw up right? You would be the best there ever was, right? Why the hell would we allow human error, I mean it's is what created everything we have. If we just quit with one, two, or three human errors in history, we would still be bashing rocks together to make a fire. My point is quite simple, STFU or prove you are Mr. I GET IT RIGHT ALL THE TIME GUY.
