As i was watching this video, the title changed from Circle of Dreams to Circle of Wildfire.

A work around for the DM throwing fire resistant baddies at ya is taking the Elemental Adept feat. “Spells you cast ignore resistance to damage of the chosen type. In addition, when you roll damage for a spell you cast that deals damage of that type, you can treat any 1 on a damage die as a 2.”
There are some really cool race options to play w/ Wildfire: Dragonborn, Tiefling, Fire Genasi, Summer Eladrin. Hell, I played an Aarakocra themed on the phoenix.
I have a friend who homebrewed a race specifically based on phoenixes. It’s cool, he’s saved my ass a bunch in the campaign he’s playing it in.
I picked a Fire Gensai for my Wildfire Druid. Get extra fire power 😂

Enhanced Bond is amazing. The extra 1d8 is like a free upcast for your fire/healing spells.
I played a Goblin Wildfire Druid named Krackle and his flame spirit was Wick. He was a goofy goober, but respected the flame.

Never forget the power of [HEAT METAL] if used right, you can debilitate your target and sustain massive amounts of fire damage over time. Some fully decked out lawful evil Oath of Conquest Paladin preparing to invade a sacred grove? Not anymore, now they have much more pressing problems.

Archdruid is insane. You have basically permanent Subtle Spell, you can stay in Wild Shape, which you have unlimited charges of, and you can cast while in Wild Shape. Meanwhile, Sorcerers can, regain 4 Sorcery Points on a short rest and Monks regain 4 ki if they roll initiative without having any. That's, underwhelming.

As someone who played this class, can confirm
The timing is impeccable. I just played my first druid last night and picked wildfire. That teleportation ability got me out of a flooding trap and is the only reason my character survived. This class is quite literally a blast to play.
Great. Now I want to play Uncle Iroh in a campaign.
Our dm is wild with what he gives us (he also throws some crazy stuff AT us so it balances out) and when he let our Druid change his subclass to wildfire, he let the Druids pet owl bear (don’t ask cause I have a pet miniature wyvern) be his wildfire spirit so now we have a flaming siege weapon.

Fighter: Samurai would be a fun one. Underrated and has some great abilities
If your worried about resistance. Their is a feat that allows you to ignore a resistance or reduce a immunity to a resistance of said type. It's great especially on one of the most common resistance and spells damage

Jokes aside, it's my top 1 druid class.
One of if not the most fun sub classes I've ever had the pleasure to play,my only regret was not knowing i could keep using wildshape even with this subclass
I’m actually trying the Drakewarden Wildfire Druid multiclassed thing. Flavored it as a ranger that made pacts with two fire spirits. It’s fun and having a teleport to move the tank out of a bad spot is pretty fun. I’ve tried this build with Star Druid which leaned more into my WIS stat using the archer form so we’ll see if this is just as good
I love this subclass. But as a sorcerer lover, and particularly the Phoenix UA, I wish we got an official version of that instead of the way the reworked that idea into the wildfire Druid.
To be fair if you pick up the Elemental Adept feat, you can ignore resistance of a chosen element and treat any rolled 1 as a 2. And you can take it multiple times to add on to ignored resistances
Circle of Wildfire is the Druid subclass I would be most excited to play one day 😁 also, you can always take the Elemental Adept feat to get around those fire resistances, just saying 🤷♂
While yes, fire is the most resisted damage type in game. There is a feat for that. Forget the name, but it allows you to treat a single damage type resistance as normal and immunity as resistance. But only for one damage element type. Pick this up for fire and boom, nothing will escape the cleansing flame.
But that's if DMs allow Feats.

currently playing a lvl 6 path of the wild barbarian and I'm thinking a dip into this is going to be awesome.
The elemental adept (fire) feat might be a good addition if you're concerned about resistance.
Could you do Oathbreaker Paladins next? Cause I mean...follow the common theme, right? Scorched earth policy, scorched earth morality..same diff lol

My fire spirit was a circus sea lion, I then used the fire spirit to move the flaming sphere around. The fire spirit It is immune and it can fly, so Boom.
Controller fires are good for the forest so it makes sense

My party use the wildfire spirit's teleportation as a parachute in a B.A.S.E. jumping rescue mission.

good thing that elemental adept can help us with the fire resistance, my only question is, why no fireball? like really, how is it that the spell most known for dealing colateral damage is not on the spell list?
My one complaint about this subclass is, why is Fireball not on the spell list? Other than that, love it. I would love to give this a try in a campaign some time.

I olayed a wildfire druid and its one lf my fav subclasses, iblove druids.
Sadly I only played him st 3rd level. Not a one shot but I died shorgly after we started, st 3rd level we had a tpk, so I made a druid, played for a while and I shit u nkt, the day we leveled up to 4 I died. Wasnt even combat, i gambled my life with a hag or something ti try and get a buff and I got death and even curse so they couldnt rez me jajajaja
That gave room to my wild magic sorcerer, who lster died psrtially cause J furebsll myself on accident and now im back a druid jajajaja tho not wildfire sadly
