Hi, does emdr therapy work on some one with Aphantasia, if it does how can the therapy be adapted when someone cannot bring up images of the traumatic event.

It does. There are multiple associated channels which impact how the maladaptive memory is stored, the image is only one small piece. In your EMDR manual, you will see that in Phase 3 you ask about the image, but then are directed:
If there is no image, ask, "When you think of that experience, what do you get?"
This allows the client to access other sensory features such as smell, taste, and sounds.
