I appreciate your suggestions, but those things generally aren't my main purpose of my full train ride videos. In trip report videos, which I'm planning to do in the future, then yes I absolutely would do a mini-tour.
There didn't appear to be anyone checking tickets prior to boarding the train at Union Station. Do they only check tickets mostly for the gates leading to the high level platforms?
@@captainace6083 Why on long distance trains do they check tickets prior to boarding at nearly all stations? Why can't tickets be bought onboard anymore, even at unstaffed stations?

Just saw the timestamp for this video. Does it really take almost four hours to get their by train??? That's unacceptably slow.
Great video. No unnecessary shaking cam tours of the train and missing the views, just sitting back and enjoying the ride and scenery. Love it ☺️

The McDonald's you walk past is my usual LBS (Last Bite Stop) before boarding any train (AMTRAK, MARC, or WMATA) here; all three use this station.
I think the way thejazzguy13 does his flight videos would be a really great way to do yours.

Not sure, in recent years I don't recall having to scan my tickets when boarding, but I think it does apply to long-distance trains though.

Can you do that again but ask to ride in the cab
The Federal Railroad Administration generally prohibits non-railroad employees from riding in the cab, so no.
