Valve's Alpha Stage looks like other studio's Release lol.
Anyone who calls this a overwatch clone has no credibility and has never played a moba ever This game will have its audience
They haven't played overwatch either, it is sleek, chaotic at times but generally readable, you kill the team, capture the objective, repeat, i don't know ehats going on half the time in deadlock
@@cd7677 that’s almost every moba even if your looking from top down like league . Bro stop looking at this like a pure bread hero shooter moba are about power snowballing by getting more resources then the other team by killing minions and doing monster camps and killing mini bosses before the other team does it’s not always about winning every team fight though that helps . Just learn how to play a fucking moba before you complain like a bitch because you have no idea wtf you’re talking about
@@cd7677 if you havent played many mobas that would be why. Its a shooter in the style of a moba so gamesense complexity is going to be that of a moba while the gameplay skills are going to be like a shooter.
Its a really high skill celling game.
@@cd7677 bro you really dont understand just how dumb you sound to a moba player. before you start throwing your comments out actually go learn to play a moba .
This is an overwatch clone
Deadlock is the most fun i've had in ages
i dropped the finals because i'm so fucking addicted and it DOESN'T even have a ranked mode yet. its that fucking good.
you said it, ive put like 30 hours in the last week and a half since getting access, its just so damn fun
Wait until the tryhards join the fight 😂
@@Chris-dy1cbtryhards already in the game lol, guys like Surefour already clocked over 1k match
you should look into some well made and good video games if you had this much fun with deadlock
doesn't mean much when you've been playing the finals
That GUI is straight out of hell
Honestly it's not that bad, having played it, it all kinda meshes together
Incredibly WIP
It's an Alpha, just search for dota2 Alpha for comparison
GUI is usually the thing that will get polished at the very last minute of development. Many early access games had ugly GUI and then got redesigned later because of feedback.
all val games have pretty simple guis, hopefully they add custom huds and stuff like tf2
as a LONG time dota player, i am so hyped for this. looks like the love child of tf2 and dota
The thing is what you say isn't credible you already said your just gonna play what is popular at the time so it's gonna be in your Best interest to talk highly about a game
duhhhhh. credibility? You expecting ottr, a gaming channel that focuses on gameplay and tips to follow your moral guidelines? 😂
Just because he switches from game to game doesn’t mean he ain’t good and his tips aren’t credible 💀
Valve is making a game is the biggest W
not really. CS2 is in shmbles, TF2 is in shambles, once they are working on something everything else gets left behind for the new big shiny thing so if this doesnt work, which with how it looks so far I'm saying it has potential, but if it flops then they will just put it in the bin with their other titles lets hope it takes off in the best way possible and stays updated with a good system & a good anti-cheat which with their track record .... it's a fuckin joke
remember Artifact the Dota Card Game
The whole world is waiting for HL3, noone in their right mind wants Valve to develop shitty hero shooters.
And if it doesn't, you're gonna abandon it.
This game snowballs so hard. You could be doing great but Timmy feeding in the next lane just screwed your whole team. When teams are evenly leveled it’s actually decent.
a single lane lost is most likely a game lost as well
Welcome to mobas
Yup, that's how moba works when one lane feeds ur whole team gets fuck, but there are ways to comeback
@@alu1280 nah in this game entire enemy team is getting insane income advantage from 1 Lane falling early I doubt there's comeback
@@krysu7777 good to know
It's like Predecessor , Paragon
Yea just way worse graphics. The market has too many of these games already, what it desperately needs is innovation.
Wait... the animations. The upgrades. The objective.
Is this... gigantic??
More like Paragon and Smite & Smite 2
feels more like league
gigantic is just a constant drawn out brawl where no one died. Its really in the same pace as dota, get your last hit in, build your hero to a point and take advantage of enemy weakness.
If a seven on the enemy team and you have no stun, drop an anvil or silence him before he can cause damage.
@LunicTitan yeah, I would say it's sort of like if OW1 and LoL had a child then added a lane and a bunch more objectives and things to get on the map.
It's literally corridor gameplay, it's nothing new and it doesn't even look like a 2024 game. People getting excited over this have no idea what good games are.
Очень похоже на SMITE или Paragon, но визуальный стиль и интерфейс лично мне очень нравиться.
Reminds me of paragon. Man I wish Epic had continued that game it was sick as hell.
Well, i think it’s time to buy a new computer
Looks really fun. I've gotten an invite going to give it a try see what is like. This'll be my first moba
Curious what happened to Paragon...Epic Games missed an absolute bangher. Poopnite ruined the game I thoroughly enjoyed.
Another studio continued the project, It's called Predecessor and it's F2P if you wanna give it a try
Just a tip, use less annoying bleep bleep music or lower the volume. Or better: dont use music
Personally I think this game will do about the same as OW. It will be big for a short while because it's Valve and new and shiny but I don't really think it's something people want. There have been other games that attempted similar things and they never took off. Smite, Battleborn, Paragon. Valve has more money to throw at it then those games did but I think in the end it's setting up to fail before it releases unless it has some other very different game modes.
idk about character designs. I don't think they're nearly as memorable as anything from TF2 or overwatch. I hardly see anyone drawing art or making memes with them.
Wait people really think this looks good?
Concord WISHED it was this game.
I dont like the UI
it’s literally in alpha
this camera killing gaming
It’s too late for battlefield heroes
After 9 years never would've though ever seeing someone ever talk about that game. This brought me back to me first real game addiction more than 10 years ago, dammn.
If valve dropped it, if for some shocking reason I didn’t love it, I will learn to because they only drop golf for over 20 years now .
It's not bad but some characters are overpowered , the argument seems to be it's fine since it can be countered but that can be applied to any character using a ultimate. Aswell the game is a bit to reliant on buffs and debuffs to a point i do not think anyone could care less what they build , late game it's just spam debuff the game with low CD and just use knockdown or silence in time to counter everyones ult.
Tf2 predates Overwatch, so to say this rips off Overwatch is silllllyyyy considering the chronology of the influence.
Without tf2, there would not be Overwatch period.
This looks more like smite with the 3rd person moba. Smite if everyone's ranged characters.
my only problem is the lighting, is very dont you think, it felt like l4d brightness even in morning stage
The graphics look so bad tho
third person = garbage
I'd play this all day if it was first person
deadlock is fun till you fight against a team where everyone has at least one stun
Yet another game for Valve to drop after year.
Amazing how wide taste is. I think its the first stinker by valve.
Did you like artifact?
Their first stinker is that disc throwing game lol. That was actually bad.
This game might end up in niche status.
Their first stinker is that disc throwing game lol. That was actually bad.
This game might end up in niche status.
The thing that I don't get about this game is it's basically a rip off of Smite and Predecessor/Paragon with a couple new mechanics. Those games have small but dedicated fanbases. Now all of a sudden everyone wants to play this style of game just because Valve is making their version of it.
This is gonna give Smite a run for its money, Honestly cant wait!
where can we get early access?
Can you make a movement guide for the game?
the game explains it all
@@retaxed- yes but aren't there some movement techs too?
ngl, this is way better than i thought, and the ui look VERY GOOD, the game itself are reminiscing me of tf2
it's like the lovechild of Dota2 ane TF2 lol
@@gragalakaisel1477 and the fact that it play like an actual moba instead of like overwatch just make it better
Is there controller support?
Not sure this is going to change the gaming world unfortunately. I can guarantee you it will never compete with League, nothing can. But it may out compete other third person shooters/MOBAs like smite and smite 2 perhaps
Icefrog left dota2 for this
It's just a worse Gigantic. Should have just bought original Gigantic from Motiga and revived this under Valde making it from scratch
Copy paste team fortress 3
I love the idea, but unless Valve introduces VAC 2.0 or something, it will be ruined by cheaters. (Like every online game that has PvP)
Deadlock supposed to run VAC 3.0
I think they've been experimenting with new anti-cheat, looking at what they've done to tf2 bots.
@@asddapthey have!
it’s even going to have AI to be able to learn and understand. it’ll hopefully be a huge step up from 2.0.
seems like to much to grasp. People will just quit
With the final release, please attempt to do something groundbreaking instead of simply towing the line for the hero ability/MOBA trend. So far, this is well-executed and feels up there with the rest of the games in this sphere. However it doesn't exceed them beyond its tight controls and some relatively safe and superficial game play iterations. Develop game modes, map styles, aesthetic and core game play features in ways that are familiar but not so transparently appropriative and same-y.
Valve can do better than this. Some solid character designs and a somewhat unique steampunk setting, but the voice-over work sounds mostly generic, contributing to the feeling that Valve is simply chasing trends where they used to set them. On first impression I find it very hard to escape these feelings- and if Valve is as concerned about pandering to the mass market as they seem- first impressions are very important.
I'm worried they wont make it for consoles and crossplay
Not everything needs to be multi platform
Get a pc then
This video is copium.
I cant wait to play, got early access
I'm concerned that Valve's approach to this game might follow the patterns we've seen with CS2 and TF2. The lack of transparency regarding updates and the absence of a roadmap make it hard to feel confident about the game's future. With very little new content, it feels like the game is stagnant. While I understand the limitations of the MOBA genre, given Valve's history, I wouldn't be surprised if we see a long period of inactivity after the initial release.
I'm really excited about this game and hope it becomes a long-term success. That being said, I can't shake the feeling that Valve might not continue to support it as much as fans would like.
This game led by IceFrog & Eul, if anything it follow what we seen with DOTA2.
Funny people always cited CS & TF2 when talking about Deadlock - despite the game is so DOTA2 coded
It’s been in closed alpha man… like what do you expect? A roadmap for a game that nobody could talk about and most people still can’t play? Also you must not have been playing because there’s been a crazy pace of updates with so much new content
This comment gotta be ai generated
@@LithiumBlockevery day a new update. it’s awesome

Wich is why it will fail in terms of gathering any kind of mainstream playerbase.
Been saying and pointing this out for a few days now after i played it for roughly 60 hours.
Apparently to the void, because the hardcore players do not get it and dont even get theyre making my point by pointing out the hardcore mechanics being the best part of the game.
This game is not casual friendly whatsoever.
Casual players do not sit around getting curb stomped for 40 mins every game whilst the whole process being seriously unfun on top of it.
If you played Dota, this shouldnt be news to you.
Unless their goal is a hardcore audience,
I really do not understand why they based the game so much on dota 2.
If their goal is a mainstream playerbase, then valve truly has become clueless.
It already has the whole "oh no another hero shooter" going against it, let alone filling it up with hardcore mechanics such as creep denial.
(nr1 reason all my friends, including myself, dropped that game like a brick)
I know the hardcore players just dismiss comments like this, just realize that what u as hardcore player think is utterly irrelevant in this case.
The numbers are crystal clear.
Deadlock is really just a question of who's the target audience.
Because i guarantee you, when this goes live and you get all these LoL, overwatch, or more broadly: the casual players coming in.
You gonna see an onslaught of comments talking shit about the game, all along the lines of frustration with the mechanics & curbstomp matches it will generate.
And i know the hardcore playerbase is gonna counter that with "git gud"-esque comments, which will only make this way worse.
Its not gonna stay there, thats gonna spread among their friends and then their friends among their friends, etc..
It doesnt matter if what they say is true or not at that point, for a game like this, theres no coming back from that.
just got my invite code, cant wait

Could you send me an invite as well?
Could you also send me an invite?

Now this is a good game
It's dota 2 but paragon/smite mechanics

Aight, how much did they pay you?
How come I've been invited to play this?
Looks nothing like Dota 2. Too chaotic looking and too cartoony
Can’t wait to play. Seems so much funny, and im bored to play league and classic moba
Don't see what it'll change, it's a moba which pick mechanics here and there and doesn't contribute much more than that to the gaming horizon.
reminds me of Paladins

Idk man I think it’s a little late to break into the moba scene but i am excited to try it as a long time league and smite player
I hope you like the hardcore PVP Dota 2 mechanics this game is filled with then, such as creep denial and get steamrolled 6 mins in when up against someone thats good at that.
Because thats whats been happening the entire time i tried it.
Cant say it was fun at all, it was quite frustrating and seriously unfun to not be able to do anything and get harassed out of the lane the second i got there.
Whilst they stole my money on top of it.
And i got over 60K games in LoL and a couple hundreds in smite.
I genuinly think this game is gonna be dead on arrival when it comes to the mainstream casual playerbase, because of said mechanics and what it produces.
The majority of my friendslist tried it, but are more mainstream casual players, all but 2 dropped the game before getting to the 20 hour mark.
The few hardcore players im friends with love it, because they love hardcore pvp games.
@@Tritriumchannel seems that what i heard its i suck at denying and i find it frustrating which is probably why u like simpler mobas such as LoL, this game clearly has Dota 2 References, mechanics and etc, i didnt test it myself, but a lot of Dota 2 Veteran players that i saw testing it, they liked so much what they saw so far, this game clearly has its public, may not be the most successful game of all times, but seems decent enough to make on its own.
It won't change anything. It is just smite, but a bit more fun
No it wont, it sucks.
Both the artstyle and gameplay is extremely off putting. I can't even stand looking at it.

Shame its another moba. Was hoping it had potential to rival Overwatch. I prefer faster gameplay with less complexity. I hope the game takes off regardless.
trust me as someone who absolutely hates mobas like dota/league. Give it a shot anyway. Its nowhere near as complex as those other games. even the shop system is so simple to understand after one look. after like 3 or 4 minutes of goofy laning simlilar to a moba people just roam and to teamfights. this game is actually such a good hybrid of something like overwatch and that moba core feel.
honestly, agreeable right there. It sucks it has to be a moba of all things. Only credit I'll give is it's better than artifact.
puh im glad its not a rival overwatch. OW is dead. and those gamestyles with it.
Mobas, hero shooter, battle royale and extraction games are the future my friend

This game is wayyyyy too late to make MOBAs relevant again. I can already see a cult following forming but at best it will be the next SMITE once the New Game hype vanishes.
Smite didnt have the backing this game does.

This is going to bomb hard. Pathetic shills and fanboys are doing more harm by hyping it up so much. There is no unique or cohesive artstyle, it's just using TF2's well conceptualized style and trying to force it into a new game except without realizing what made the original TF2 so good. Look at the bland, drab colors, the awful character designs and levels. It literally looks like any generic 3rd person project shooter made by asset flippers.
That doesnt really matter tho.
What really matters in terms of mainstream audience, is the fact that they went with dota 2 hardcore pvp mechanics.
If theres anytihng that guarantees it bombing hard in terms of a mainstream crowd, its that.
