It sounds so simple, but I've really been missing the weekly affirmation from Drew that I'm still me. It feels like a warm hug. Drew, as many other folks have said, it's a pleasure to just find out what's going on in your world. You have a very genuine, earnest personality that is lacking in the media world today. And you're a natural story-teller; your excitement is contagious. You give us all permission to let our geek flags fly. Follow your happiness, and if you feel up to bringing us along for the ride, we're right here with you!
I couldn't agree with your choice of words more. Well said. You can hold your own Drew, don't feel you HAVE to have a partner to bounce off every episode but sure that will be fun too
The biggest mistake most of the youtubers I have watched make is trying to make content solely for an audience and getting burned out. Obviously, ignore the voice telling you no one's interested because that's objectively not true, but also listen to what it tells you about what kind of content makes you excited to make content. At the end of the day what appealed to a lot of us about you from the beginning is that you get excited about the things we get excited about.
Thank you! I'll keep that in mind. I think staying focused on what brings my joy will allow me to always be authentic and SHOULD help maintain some motivation!
Also totally agree on this! Several channels I've liked over the years are becoming increasingly manic and paint by numbers because the creators are so enmeshed in just one thing (or sort of thing) and they're running out of original content and getting burnt out. Burn out is so easy, do what you love and stick to what your passionate about. Don't go all in on gaming the YT algorithm to maximise views and income - if you make good content that you love, you'll get a loyal following who will stick around just to delight in your shared delight experience :)
Drew, as you already know (and thankfully you’re listening to the people), we love just listening to you talk about anything. Your authenticity shines in a world of frauds. Thank you for listening and fighting the inner voice(s) that cause hesitation. You’re Drew and you’re you and that’s why we love you. Great videos so far, thanks for sharing.
While I look forward to hearing about where your pen journey leads you, I actually love the idea of having a Drew channel that features stuff outside the pen realm. Your Japan video was a great example of that. There are plenty of sources for fountain pen discussion on TH-cam but I have yet to find another channel featuring the genuine delight of someone finding the softest bread ever and then putting it on their face to enjoy such a find. As long as you keeping being Drew, I'll be me and will be here to listen to whatever fun things you want to talk about.
No lie, no exaggeration: This is EXACTLY the kind of thing I was hoping you'd do. I looooove listening to people talk about random things they're passionate about. Esp interested in movies, books, mental health, and aaaall the 3D printing. Or whatever. No pressure! 😅 Your brain with that dream, tho! You really wanted to know what a new word meant that you decided to try to find out about it in your sleep. Amazing. 😂 Did you ever talk about The Wild Robot somewhere? Would love to know what you thought of that one.
This!!! You talking about random things was EXACTLY why the pen cast was such an impact on me! I am glad you’ve started a channel, and I absolutely LOVED the Japan trip overview!!! The mention of toilets were the highlight for me, as I do watch Southpark. I ran to get my husband when you first mentioned the public toilet. It made the video (for me), like the nice thread that weaves through an entire story.
Yes!! Meeee too! Just want some Drew Brown! I absolutely LOVED every second of the Tokyo video!! Just ticked ✅ all the boxes for me!! There are so many people that crave your excitement and especially unrehearsed or premeditated content vs blah blah samey samey…YOU ARE fun and real. 👏🏽 😊 no schedule for posting videos is fine because I turned on my 🔔 so I’ll know when you post 🫶🏽😁
Thank you for posting today! And a huge thank you to everyone that helped fund Drew’s new set up, I’m deeply grateful to all of you. That may sound odd but I’ve now been in the hospital for two very long years after calling 911 on Nov 28, 2022. The doctors who insisted I was going to die within days were wrong, they were not wrong in saying I’d never leave the hospital though. Drew, I’ m with those who will be here to listen no matter what. There is something very soothing about your voice that really helps melt away the noise chaos of this place. Your smile and easy laughter always have me responding in kind. Every video feels like a treasured friend stepped in to my room to visit. That is a huge blessing. I’ve recently made the decision to switch to hospice care which has made things both easier and harder. Which brings me to a topic suggestion perhaps far outside your comfort zone. Why is death/dying such a taboo? Why is it so hard for people to be at ease with knowing someone will die. We are ALL going to, some of us are just lucky enough to have more of a timeline for our own. Drew I’ve no doubt you could talk about it with both grace and humor. I for one would be rounding up my friends and making them watch. I’ll stop rambling now. Drew I’m so glad you are you and that you’re here. I’m even more glad to be ME, chillin ’ in a hospital room that overflows with dragons and Legos of all kinds. Not where I’d ever dreamed I’d be at 59 but it sure has been an interesting journey.
Hey there, Virginia! Thanks so much for sharing. Speaking for me, death is terrifying because my brain can't comprehend nothingness, and yet it tries - without my permission. I also thing that most of us still feel like we're the main characters of our own story, and have a tough time really coming to the truth that we're a part of the biggest, most amazing story we'll ever be able to see: the story of planet Earth. It's such a treat to be here, be alive, and be a part of the human journey. "If the sweetness in life did not disappear, there were be no sweetness at all". Some guy from a Dark Tower novel said that, so I wrote it down. I try to live in the moments, and appreciate the delights knowing that everything is finite - but that gives them their beauty. I'm on Instagram at @deeseebee if you ever need someone to talk to. Thanks again for sharing, and hope your day brings you some smiles. :)

I love hearing folks nerd out on their hobbies and interests. It would be great to have you deep dive more on your non-pen obsessions and bring in friends as guests on their nerderies. That would make an amazing podcast!
This was an unexpected addition to my feed. I'm sorry to hear you parted ways with Goulet Pens, but their loss is our gain. Now you can do your own thing and I'm looking forward to finding out what that is. Best of luck!
Your excitement about whatever you talk about is contagious, and your voice is just so GOOD to listen to. I look forward to seeing where the channel goes!
Personally, I do want to hear you talk about pens and inks. Keen to see what you do next in that space! But regardless, excellent to see you, and all the best with this channel!!!
Truly thankful for your existence Drew! Your content is always so fun and entertaining. Fountain pens, movies, video games, 3D printing or whatever you decide to post we’ll be here.
This week has been rough for me in many ways. Your shenanigans are absolutely such a positive and lovely part of my week. Please remember that many people enjoy tuning in and supporting your channel. ❤ Thanks Drew !!
This made my damn day. Thank you, Drew, for putting more of your joy out in the world. Your audience is here for it. Looking forward to whatever's next!
I agree the world is pumped for a Drew channel where Drew talks about whatever he wants. I find, myself, when I am on a quest for happiness I turn to Drew. And he always delivers.
Dogs! Dogs and everything! 😄 I love how the Drew Incident illustrates the positive outcome of a negative event, a parable of misfortune leading to an unexpected adventure. You're on a ride, we're with you on the ride, and we (meaning you and us) ~are~ the ride. This story has everything! 😊 Let's keep going! 🤗
Drew as a stationary lover I have loved your passion and enthusiasm for the same. Hopefully I can see you in the old avatar of reviewing stationary products- Books/Pens/Fountain Pens/Inks. You are awesome man
Dogs, yes please! My Sheepadoodle Gromit and I would love to see more of your dogs' antics. And, if he wants to, seeing Archer once in awhile would be nice too (they all grow up and change so much so quickly). If Shannon has some time in her schedule, the two of you would make for (I think) a fun podcast.
Can’t wait to hear about your career update!! So happy to watch your potpourri of topics any day. And who knew I’d be mesmerized by your 3D printed planters?! Beautiful work!!🤩
Hey Drew! I'm glad you are building up your channel, I will be tuning in regardless of what you talk about. I think the way you approach videos is so refreshing and fun to watch and makes me want to watch more of you! I wish you the best of luck!
Yaaaay I’m so happy I could watch Drew before bed after an extremely tough day. This is the a dosage of positivity I need to end my day. Love from Japan❤❤❤
So glad to see you uploading! Thank you for the lovely note with my sticker order! As a fellow corgi owner, I definitely think we need a corgi episode. Also, just read the news about your career move, so huge congrats on that! Well deserved ❤
This reminded me so much of the segment in the podcast which shall not be named where you just told us all the random goodness that was happening in your life. Often I’d scroll through to just that part and wish it was longer. A wish has been granted now and I’m so grateful and will appreciate it for as long as your passion and joy lead you to continue!
Why not pens? The other channel does not own the pen market. Anyway you were the entertainment. I suffer from severe depression you got smiles, chuckles and laughs out of me. If pens is what makes you happy then do pens. Look at all the people that followed you. DO YOU DREW!!!
As I'm still going to focus on pursuing pen in a professional capacity, I want to keep this channel (my personal channel) separate from my career. To maintain motivation, if no other reason.
@@Drewinstuff I too am sad to hear that pens won't be part of the channel, especially since I made the tough choice to stop following/buying the 'other channel.' But I certainly won't demand what you choose to do for content and will instead just hope pen videos are part of your next career choice :)
It’s the energy. The joy, the enthusiasm, it’s contagious (in a good way) and your willingness to share that has us encouraging you to keep doing these things.
I find you so relatable with your sensory aversions and all the rules about things. I’m also blown away that you are willing to put yourself out there and wing it. I would get dry mouth and be able to say nothing! I love hearing about your new adventures, activities with your family, and your thoughts on mental health. My son wants a floppy dragon for Christmas. Thanks for putting in the work.
Hi Drew! So glad to see you back! I would love a corgis interview. Maybe I could ask Wrex (mine) for some questions to ask them. They’ll probably be along the lines of “how many treats do you get?” And “are you also frustrated that we speak so clearly but the humans don’t understand?”
We all adore you, Drew! We have never met, but you sent me a lovely reply to an email when I was in a really rough place. You're a dear friend of mine, and I'm always willing to do whatever I can to help you out! Including telling your doubting voice to be quiet and listen to the overwhelming voice of all of your friends that you are AMAZING!!! I have missed getting to hear your life updates and to experience your excitement about your hobbies. I've missed YOU in my life, and I'm so glad you're back! .
I just found my way here, by accident at that, and am overjoyed! Glad to have found your channel and look forward to see what geekiness will be discussed in the future 🥰
Drew, I recently got the news that I'm being laid off (on Christmas Day, ugh) and your videos have kept me from falling into a complte downward spiral. Thank you!
When things were upside down and the community was rising to meet you, I thought.. wouldn’t it be a great idea to compile alllll of the love notes to you and print the entire file? When that voice in your head tells you lies, you could instantly pick it up and read bunches of wonderful supportive messages from hundreds of hearts. I like pens. There’s lots of places for me to click on to hear about them (and I do!) but not one of those places is drew brown in all of his quirky, wonderful glory. I have no expectations; it’s all fantastic and unexpected and marvellous! I think your sparkle is back and that makes everything extra great! This must have been a terrible and wonderful journey for you so far, and I am so very grateful to be one of the people who get to watch your evolution. Don’t care what you do or when… don’t need a schedule… but I can’t wait for each chapter. All the best Drew. Keep being you!
Good morning, Drew! I’ve missed you and I’m glad you’re finding opportunities to leverage your skills and continue your positive impact. I went through something similar about 15 years ago and was immensely helped by the book, Transitions by William Bridges. You might find it helpful as well.
Thank you for this recommendation! My brother passed unexpectedly in October, and we're struggling to figure out what the next phase of life will be, without him.
You bring a LOT of joy to everything you do, Drew. I'm so glad things are looking good--more up than down. You are a delight and you deserve all the best things. I'll watch any video you post. Listen to any podcast you do. Whatever. Bring the Drew.
Drew, watching your videos makes me feel more confident and just happy about pursuing my own dreams and embracing my true self. That is a gift you share with the world. Thank you!
I've only been back into fountain pens for the past months since cleaning my old stuff and coming across one of my old Sheaffers. Watching "Drew" videos and other TH-cam reviewers like Doodlebud and JG3 is what encouraged me to purchase a Lamy Safari Violet Blackberry (Fine) Set that cames with a bottle of Violet Blackberry Ink, a Lamy AL-star Aquatic (Medium) Set that came with a bottle of T52 ink in Black and recently as an early Christmas present to myself, a Faber Castell E-motion Pearwood (Medium) Gift Set. Not to mention additional purchases of a bottle of Kaweco Pearl Black, a bottle of Lamy Dark Lilac 2024 AND a bottle of Graf von Faber-Castell Cognac Brown. And I don't think I'm done yet! Curiously, I only find myself clicking Goulet videos that have Drew in the thumbnail! Drew, you should do what you've proven to be fantastic at. Talking about fountain pens whilst adding that splash of "Drew" sunshine to "The Fountain Pen Lyfe!
Drew, you have a such rare talent in your ability to make other people excited about the things you are excited about. Whatever you decide to make videos on, even if it's not a shared interest, as long as you're leaning into your passions I'm going to watch just to get a piece of that energy because it really is a feel-good time.
I am glad to see you back. Do what brings you joy...if it aligns with what people ask, then all the better. People like you for your positive attitude, love of nostalgic or vintage issues. If stationery is an option, there are lots of options. Journals, productivity and ways in which people organize their work. A series like "How I journal" or "how I organise my stationery"...might be fun.
What a delight to see you. Thank you for this video, and for still being Drew. As someone who's currently trying to get the inside voices to shut up and actually do something I wanted to try for a long time, this was also a really motivating video :]
Drew is ‘yapping’ and suddenly all is well with the world. You bring balance and enjoyment to my life - and that of many others. Keep being you and we’ll be here!
There you are! I've been off doing stuff and when I came back online you were gone, Made me sad, because I always enjoyed listening to you and having your joy of life rub off on me. I don't know anything of the journey that brought you to where you are now, but I'm sure glad I stumbled in. Gonna stick around just because you feel like an old friend.
So happy to see you Drew!!❤ . I cannot wait till you make stickers available Internationally! I live in India and have gotten into fountain pens a couple of years back! I learnt so much from you and a video featuring you always brings me so much joy!! All the best for everything!!!
This video has made me ridiculously happy! I’m so glad that you are here ❤ It would be amazing if you could add the auto generated closed captions to make it more accessible for everyone 😊
Having this video show up in my recommended videos was a very pleasant surprise! Getting to see some more of your enthusiasm and hearing "the yapping" just makes my day a bit better. Thank you! I have a small snake plant in my kitchen now that is either a descendant of or is just a new piece of (I'm decidedly not a plant guy) the snake plant I was given in late summer 1975. That plant was a gift from a neighbor who I had done some chores for that summer while they were healing from a broken arm. I mowed their yard, did dishes, kind of generally helped with whatever they needed. Got paid a fair wage for that and when I went back to school, they were able to do for themselves again. As a thank you they gave me that plant. Which I left with my parents since they did enjoy house plants. Over the years they divided that plant and gave those away. One part of which my sister got. About three years ago, she decide to move rather far away and divided up "her" snake plant. And gave the divisions to her friends and some of the family. And now I have "my" snake plant back. :) I'm still NOT a plant guy but this one will be staying with me. And once I can't find a pot big enough, I guess I will need to figure out dividing it up and passing it along.
I'm thrilled you're doing these! Your curiosity and interest in the world is so much fun to watch. A little sad I completely missed the sticker run, so happy to hear you may do another in the future. Really hope you are able to develop this into something you do for yourself as well. In the meantime, thank you for doing it for the rest of us!
Drew, your enthusiasm has always brightened my day, and you're the reason I love fountain pens, yellow ink, diamine sunshine yellow since buttered popcorn isn't a thing anymore and cafe crema because it's beautiful. 💛🤎 Keep being you, Drew!
It’s so great to see you here. I for one could listen to you talk about anything. Your enthusiasm with any topic is infectious. Looking forward to all your future videos.

Hi Drew. Great you’re back. I think a sement on your Corgies and all the crazy things Corgies do would be a great segment. We’ve got a Corgie and she is unlike any other dog we’ve own. I often wonder if a sweater could be made from the soft undercoat our Corgie sheds all the time. All the best!

Please bring the dogs! Excited for pups and movie etc chats! 🎉
No dogs, but eveything else please
Dogs! More dogs! ALLLLLL the dogs! 🥰
Dogs!!! Yes. Bring 'em if you got 'em!!! 🐶🐕🐾🦮🐕🦺🐶
Corgis!
Thanks so much for the kind words, Marcela!
Yaaaay I’m so happy I could watch Drew before bed after an extremely tough day. This is the a dosage of positivity I need to end my day.
Love from Japan❤❤❤
DREW!!! It doesn’t matter what you talk about. You have such a soothing voice. It’s a nice mental health break in my day! Thank you.
So glad to see you uploading! Thank you for the lovely note with my sticker order! As a fellow corgi owner, I definitely think we need a corgi episode. Also, just read the news about your career move, so huge congrats on that! Well deserved ❤
Congratulations on your new role with Fahrney’s! Absolutely thrilled for you!
GOULET
Yep, the Drew Brown energy, personality, and charisma is a bright spot and much needed in our lives 😁
Mazel tov, on the new gig, Drew! So very well deserved.
It makes me so happy to see your face on youtube again!
Dont burn yourself out please. Just be you! Thats more than enough.
I can do that!
Just read a certain press release and I am grinning ear to ear. Congratulations and well deserved!
@@Drewinstuff Understood
@@Drewinstuff I too am sad to hear that pens won't be part of the channel, especially since I made the tough choice to stop following/buying the 'other channel.' But I certainly won't demand what you choose to do for content and will instead just hope pen videos are part of your next career choice :)
Honestly I would love a Drew + doodlebud collaboration, maybe a podcast with the both of you? ;)
Drew, just go with the flow. I'm in the "talk about anything" camp. Just really glad to see you.
It’s the energy. The joy, the enthusiasm, it’s contagious (in a good way) and your willingness to share that has us encouraging you to keep doing these things.
Thanks a bunch, Charlie!
Haha I think you're spot-on!
I've missed YOU in my life, and I'm so glad you're back!
.
Hey there, Hannah! Thank you so much!
I just found my way here, by accident at that, and am overjoyed! Glad to have found your channel and look forward to see what geekiness will be discussed in the future 🥰
Yay! Glad you found me!
Drew, I recently got the news that I'm being laid off (on Christmas Day, ugh) and your videos have kept me from falling into a complte downward spiral. Thank you!
I know how that feels, Sarah. I'm so terribly sorry.
Hang in there. Better things are coming your way. It might be a blessing in disguise.
The company you work for sounds like they don't care about anyone, who lays anyone off on Christmas day???

I lost my job too Sarah 6Dec, i know how it feels, praying for you!
YAY! Drew is back. It's like a sudden hole in life has been filled with joy.
Terrible and wonderful just about sums it up! It's been a roller coaster, but I'm looking forward!
Cant wait to meet Shannon! If I like Drew, I know Im gonna like her!
Thanks!
Yay Drew. For what it’s worth, some of my favorite creators don’t do things just to make a video. They make videos about their lives.
Thank you!
Great sweater, Drew.
Just feel your way and see what works. Being flexible is always a good idea.
Be you, and see how it unfolds.
Thank you!
Congratulations Mr. President!!!!!🎉
Congrats on Fahrney’s new!! Very exciting!
Love that you are back. Missed your videos, does not matter what you talk about, as long as you talk 😊
Thank you! I hope you like hearing about underrated actors!
Congrats on the new position, Drew!
What a delight to see you. Thank you for this video, and for still being Drew.
As someone who's currently trying to get the inside voices to shut up and actually do something I wanted to try for a long time, this was also a really motivating video :]
What a nice way to begin my day. Thanks Drew! I can see from USPS informed delivery that I received my sticker. Thanks!!
Yayyyyyy!
Whatever topics you choose to talk about, I'll be here, listening, with a smile on my face 😊
Howabout underrated actors?
@@Drewinstuff Ab-so-LUTE-ly!😁
So good to hear the "I'm Drew, you're you" intro again 😊
That dream segment cracked me upthatut that really would've been SO cool!
You were hilarious talking about bathrooms, awesome ones at that, but when you showed the music button I choked on my food 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
There are a couple of channels I watch not only for content, but for calm and yours is now one of them. And I am all in for Corgi Content!
Gotcha!
Drew is ‘yapping’ and suddenly all is well with the world. You bring balance and enjoyment to my life - and that of many others. Keep being you and we’ll be here!
Thank you, Drew! Another virtual friend who is cheering you on!
Happy to find you here. I'll be here as well and wish ou great success. Going back to watch the videos I missed. 🙂
dream nugget stickers hehehe -crazy bout u Drew so glad about these broadcasts!
I’m so glad that you are here ❤
It would be amazing if you could add the auto generated closed captions to make it more accessible for everyone 😊
Great to hear you again, Drew!
Can’t wait to see what you release next!
Yea, Drew! We miss you! Good to hear from you again. Your channel just popped up in my feed.
Also, I would watch a “weird things I ordered on Amazon” segment anytime.
Holy moly YES I want to know this so much.
So glad you're doing well. Can't wait to see where you're going to take the channel.
Great to see you back on TH-cam! Not sure what your plans are for the channel, but would love to hear about your retro video game collection
Consider it done!
It’s so great to see you here. I for one could listen to you talk about anything. Your enthusiasm with any topic is infectious. Looking forward to all your future videos.
Yay 🙌 😊 It is good to see you, Drew, and your Christmas sweater!
Drew, you are you, and we like you😄 I could listen to you talk about anything. I have by the way bought a Pilot E95s thanks to you🙃 So glad you are here making videos again😀
Thanks a bunch! I'll keep being me, I can promise that much, at least!
Me to, the E95s burgundy & cream. It’s my most special pen, thanks Drew
Sweetwater is AMAZING!!!!! We get allllll of my son's guitar gear from them. You get assigned a person that checks in on you. They have the BEST customer service!
I can not express how deeply happy I am to see a video of yours in my feed!!! This is epic and amazing!!! I am glad you are doing well!!!
I love the deep dive into 3d printing! It's so nice to see you and learn about things with you! I'd love to see you talk movies and video games. Excited to see what you come up with dude! Great Ep!
Good to see you! I would love to hear about mental health as it still isn't talked about enough, especially among men.
I really enjoy these solo videos, though! I love hearing you talk about random topics and go off on tangents. 😊
It was delightful to see you again! So happy to have your smiling face back, Drew! Can't wait to see what you "yap" about next. ❤
Firing you was the worst decision in business history since New Coke. I am glad to see you’re doing well. Look after yourself.

@ModernSynthesist I know nothing. I don't even know if I want to know something. 😩
Hi Drew. Great you’re back. I think a sement on your Corgies and all the crazy things Corgies do would be a great segment. We’ve got a Corgie and she is unlike any other dog we’ve own. She does this thing we call a Corgie yodel and I’m wondering if your Corgies do the same thing. Then you could do a segment on Corgie shedding. I often wonder if a sweater could be made from the soft undercoat our Corgie sheds all the time. All the best!
