@@theoraclehostvessel animals as leaders is an American progressive metal band, but more specifically they are a "Djent" band, a subgenre known for it's down tuned guitars, an heavy distortion and a great musical technique. it's basically a musical genre so ritmically complex that can be more difficult than classical music

I started watching your channel around 3 years ago and subscribed instantly. I would always have to rewatch your videos because I kept falling asleep before I could finish them. All that time I never really thought about how many subscribers you had. when you did your Toy story video you amazed me and I looked and was blown away. I could have sworn you had hundreds of thousands of followers because I always assumed you did because of how much care and time you out into your videos. And, my dude, you have one of the most relaxing voices in ASMR, and I've always loved how you move from year to ear, and gradually change from whisper to soft spoken. When you said Animals as Leaders I think my jaw hit the floor. I rarely come across anyone else who listens to progressive metal, so it’s great to know you have similar tastes as me! I love Periphery and TesseracT, they’re probably my favorite bands, and you’re probably my favorite ASMRtist now that I know you listen to them.

Damn dude, we have extremely similar taste in music. I have some suggestions for you that I didn’t hear on your list: Sybreed, 3teeth, Fever Ray, The Knife, Grimes, Gary Numan’s newer stuff, and Mnemic (primarily their first two albums). Going by your list I guarantee you will be into these bands/musicians.

@@Clespol I tried Sony and Bose NC headphones. As you know, sound quality/preference is very subjective but I prefer Sony's because of the impressive NC feature. If you don't care about wireless and NC and you want studio reference, go with Sennheiser HD 600 and up with a good Amp. If you are not an audiophile and you just want wireless and good bass, wait for a sale and get the Skullcandy Crusher Wireless headphones. Those target mostly a young audience but I found them good for everyday use and very good for movies.

Love the variety! There were a lot of bands I used to listen to in there. I'm gonna drop some recommendations: Tigran Hamasyan, Steve Reich, Primus, Tyler the Creator, Brockhampton, Frank Ocean, Thundercat, MF Doom, and Kendrick Lamar. Let me know if any of those pique you interest and I can recommend songs or albums.

Five minutes in and you've already mentioned the Holy trinity of the mars volta, at the drive in and antemasque lol yeah we'd get on well! I just picked up the mars volta vinyl boxset realidad de los suenos
Honestly, such great music opinions ya got. Here are a few albums I’d suggest you listen to:
Alice In Chains: They came from the same grunge era as Nirvana, but I personally like them more
Lucid Planet: An extremely underground band. They have only one album. I can best describe their music the most similarly to Tool, but it embellishes more on the psychedelic aspects.
Pink Floyd: Kind of stereotypical for me to say, and you’ve probably heard them before. But they are pretty much the original (or most well known) progressive music band. I’d suggest start with Animals, or the good ol classic Dark Side of the Moon.
Obviously you don’t have to listen to any of these. Just my suggestions honestly. Great video overall though!

Grand video as always :) If you haven't come across them yet, may I highly (!) suggest my favorite band Haken? Prog metal, math rock and some quirky and also highly versatile and creative progression. Also grand vocals that don't rely on the traditional screaming as much, which I always appreciate, for dynamic and melodic reasons.

Black Dahlia Murder!!! Love Melodic Death Metal and Brutal Death Metal, I noticed you enjoy a lot of metalcore, check out At the Gates, Heaven Shall Burn, and The Haunted. Literally as soon as you said black dahlia Murder I spit my water out
Blinded Colony!!! Fun fact: The singer is a very well-known songwriter/producer in the pop genre nowadays. Whenever someone says that metal doesnt require talent I'll introduce them to Shellback and show them what he used to do before getting into pop.
