@@GiddyKnits yarntube sounds a good thing. I have been watching Flosstube for about 7 years now for those who cross stitch (some are knitters and readers too). But Yarntube would work for knit and crochet podcast/vloggers 😊. I am off to find Booktube now as didn’t realise that was a thing 😊
I enjoyed the podcast. I was so distracted by your lovely jumper and kept saying, "I need to know more about this jumper. Please share." Thank you for revealing the information and getting my attention back on track. lol The stars are definitely a lovely way to showcase the advent colours. 🌟⭐
Gnedward is fabulous I may have to try a knitted gnome. I’ve crocheted a lot of gnomes and loved them. Whoops I’ve just preordered the book 😂. Your jumper looks lovely on you and the witchy woo colour way looks fabulous your socks are going to look amazing. I’m liking your tolsta tee. The 🌟garland idea sounds great 👍🏻. Have a wonderful couple of weeks x
Hi Helen, thank you for spending some time with me today while I work on the gusset of my latest sock. Love the idea of you making a small sample of your advent yarns this year and doing a reveal every few days. The idea of blocks also sounds wonderful. Although the blocks you shared were very, very pretty, I thought perhaps that their laciness might now show off the colors as well as they might. I don’t know, of course, how speckled/variegated your colors will be this year, but that would effect how the colors would show on those crocheted squares you showed. It’s a dilemma - but I’m sure you’ll work it out soon enough. Did love your star garland. I really need to learn to crochet beyond plain single or double crochet stitch. So much news in this episode. Thank you. Until the next time. Salam wa sa’aadah
Hi Helen, really like the idea of your star 🌟garland and very interested to hear more in due course about your having occasional days when people can visit the studio. I visit Scotland regularly and will look forward to (hopefully) timing a visit for a date that I can call in 🤩
🌟 love the garland and I watched I actually watched some of this while I was walking on the treadmill again to take the boredom out of it and just make me move a little bit more I really enjoy book chat as well as knitting.
💫 I really like the idea of the star garland. It will go great with the Christmas theme. I do really enjoy seeing advent revealed as makes me regret not buying it 😂 but also makes me aware of the dyers style. But daily can be a little bit hard as can be a spoiler for someone in a very different time zone. Your jumper is so beautiful ❤️
Hi Helen, I enjoy your episodes no matter what you discuss. You are usually keeping me company while I am on the treadmill, I have taught myself to knit while walking, it is still incredibly boring so I use my favorite podcasts as my carrot.... I save the best to keep me going while knitting and walking so I love when the podcast is at least an hour and can just lose myself in the knitting world and that hour just slips by... here is your 🌠 for this episode. But if there are no gnome emoji then what the heck is this thing 🧙♂️🤦♀️☺ that I left last week!
Ooh I’m very inspired by your star garland..very festive. And funnily enough I have seen the willow square recently in a crochet jumper and would like to try it🧶🧶
I'm having a cuppa watching you , I'm crocheting gnomes ( amigurumi )at the moment ,the sock yarn is gorgeous ❤ thank you for sharing, ive subscribed and given a thumbs 👍 😀 ✨️
Gnedward looks fabulous! He fits right in with his friends. Looking forward to the book videos - if people aren't interested, they don't have to watch do they? Re the name of knitting videos, I was thinking if readers have booktube and cross stitchers have flosstube, maybe knitters and crocheters could have yarntube...
Stars are a great idea. Look forward to seeing them. 😊✨🌟⭐️ I’m not a great reader so I probably won’t join you for your book podcast, however, I’m going to mention it to my sister who is a huge reader, so you will have a new subscriber 😊
✨ I've just ordered the Halloween treat box, can't wait to open it! I think the stars sound like a great idea and I'm looking forward to seeing your finished stripey Tolsta tee.
thanks for another great podcast Helen. I am excited to get to see your advent this year. As I have bought one I appreciate you not doing a daily reveal so I don't see spoilers if I only open it at night. What pattern did you use for the starts? They look really cute.
I vended for the last time in 2021, I think, but the timing of the show never seems to work out for me. We were away at a wedding last year, and this year, it clashes with the board game convention we go to as a family. I also find early September a tricky time to for a show as it's right in the middle of advent prep etc so I'm not sure whether it's one I can fit in to my schedule.
Hi Helen, I missed whether you are using 4ply or DK for your Tolsta Tee. I also have the Beehive Yarns Wednesday fade to use, in 4ply, and I was thinking of holding it double with some mohair to knit a Tolsta Tee or laceless Love Note. I think it would take me years to knit a 4ply jumper for myself. Anyway, I need to make a decision and cast on as I would love to have a jumper to wear in October/November!
Love the star idea for your advent!!🌟
Thank you Helen for another great podcast...loving the gnome...your are a star🌟
Thank you for watching so glad you enjoyed it 💜
Petition to start calling crafty/yarny TH-cam 'Yarntube' 🧶
100% we can make it a thing 😆

Thank you so much for watching. I agree soke.of the blocks might not show the yarn off well, I think stars are the way to go this year. 💜

A wizard, I think?? But we can go with it as a gnome 😆. So glad I can keep you motivated on the treadmil. Thank you for watching 💜
Love your jumper you wore today ❤ ✨ 🌠
Thank you 💜

I definitely think some of those blocks are going to make it into a future blanket.
Yay for coming soon book chat!
For the garland, surely with the theme of this year's advent, the motif used should be of a tooth!
⭐🦷⭐🦷
😆 find me a simple pattern for a crochet tooth and I'm there.
🦊 from me as I'm very excited for fantastic Mr fox inspired yarn
I'm having a cuppa watching you , I'm crocheting gnomes ( amigurumi )at the moment ,the sock yarn is gorgeous ❤ thank you for sharing, ive subscribed and given a thumbs 👍 😀 ✨️
I really need to give a crochet one a go! I've got some pattern books so there's no excuse!
⭐️🌟💫✨ Love the colours in the Haunted Library Halloween special, so tempting!
I'm so excited to get it dyed up!
Looking forward to the bookie chats 🌠🌠🌠
Yay, so glad people are excited about it.
Chat about books sounds great. The striped Halloween sweater will be fab and the star ⭐️ ✨🌟💫 garland.
Thank you 💜
💥 It is a yes to the stars and I love the sound of your book talk channel as I love reading.
I'm so glad your looking forward to the book chat 💜 it's always a little daunting trying something new.
Gnedward looks fabulous! He fits right in with his friends.

I'm so excited to dye it this year, feeling frustrated that I have to wait to have final numbers 😆
✨There’s only one thing I like better than knitting and that is reading, so I am all in on your upcoming BookTube videos.
Oh I'm so glad people seem to be looking forward to the book video 💜

It was just a TH-cam tutorial, il try and link it in a future podcast once I start the stars 💜
⭐️ You mentioned vending at Glasgow School of Yarn. Do you ever vend at the Scottish Yarn Festival? I didn't see you listed last year or this year 🙂
I vended for the last time in 2021, I think, but the timing of the show never seems to work out for me. 🌟🌟🌟 love the sound of the Roald yarns. Will you be taking them to Gsoy?
Absolutely! But I'll only have limited bases with me 💜

I'm doing 4ply, but it would be fine with DK!

Do it! My first one was really fun and a great option for scraps.
for cross stitch YTers , it is called flosstube :D

Yes! I'd forgotten that one, we still need a knitting or crocheted one though - crafttube?
