I am amazed that you have time to read physical books with your busy life. I enjoy hearing about both the past and the planned reading.☢️

I certainly didn't feel like I had time in October but hopefully I will this month and next month.

I love Laurie Gilmore’s books - listening to the Christmas one right now (I couldn’t wait!!). Love your TBR cards too!! 🌊

Happy reading. I'm in a reading slump at the moment. I've asked Santa for a Kindle, so hopefully that helps 😀🏃‍♀🎅

A ready slump is always so frustrating! Hope it passes soon.

I really enjoyed this episode, it's so nice to know that I'm not the only one who is guilty of significantly over-estimating my reading capabilities! I havn't read any of your tbr's but have read and can definitely recommend CJ Cooke's 'The Lighthouse Witches' so now of course I want to read 'A Haunting in the Arctic' 🌬💫

Haha I've definitely over estimated my abilities but we'll see how it goes 😆. I've read The Ghost Woods by C J Cooke too and really enjoyed that one.

If I was getting a horror book every 3 months through a subscription I'd probably save them all for a binge read around Halloween.
Robin Hobb is unquestionably a good author many would and have suggested people read.

That's actually a great idea! And four books to read in October would be totally achievable, question is could I resist the temptation to read them during the year 😆

I was really close to stopping the video and picking up We Used To Live Here 😅 but I didn't 🤪🫠🫨
I would recommend Visions in White by Nora Roberts in terms of romance for December, I think it happens around New Year's Eve. It's strong on the romance and female friendship and also the first book of a quartet where each book follows a different character from the group of friends.

I don't think I've read any Nora Roberts, I've read J D Robb which I think is her pen name fro crime novels? I'll have a look, thank you

I had no idea she also wrote crime novels. Must check them out!

Thank you for the book talk! Just ordered We used to live here from our local library (waiting list), you just sound so enthusiastic talking about it. I'll be interested to hear what you think of A Haunting in the Arctic; I really enjoyed it (audio, great narrator), but once finished, I'm not so sure... 😅😅 ...🌪

I've heard that the Cinnamon Bun book is a lot spicier than the Pumpkin Spice book so I'm looking forward to finding out if you rate it as spicy. If you liked the non-gendered protagonist in KPS, you might want to try Lock In by Scalzi; it was the first time he did that with the protagonist Chris. It's a futuristic police procedural, also set in a pandemic stricken world (and was part of my 2020 accidentally reading book after book with pandemic settings). They even did two versions of the audio book, one narrated by Amber Benson and the other by Wil Wheaton.
You inspired me to reread the Farseer Trilogy which is massively lowering my books per month, too.

I love that they did two audio books, with different narrators that's a great idea! I'll definitely be checking out more John Scalzi!
The realm of the elderly books are brilliant but boy are some of them long! 😄

😲😥😋🙄 if you enjoy homosexual love stories and fantasy might I recommend T I Klune. His books make me cry, and I don't really read romance novels. Lovely vlog. X

I've been meaning to get to some TJ Klune for ages, I've got a copy of House on the cerulean sea and the sequel!

@GiddyKnits I would also recommend his Under the whispering door. It was a page turner for me, I wanted to know what happened next. And it also made me cry and laugh. X
