  • Quick video showing how to remove the upper pieces of the chrome window trim on the BMW E34 5-Series.
    NOTE: In the video I say that you slide the new clips back into the trim before installation. That is wrong. They mount to the car, then you install the trim by pushing the trim over the clips. You can see it in the other video.

    Hi, great video--thanks. What do you do if most of the posts break off? How do you secure the trim back on?

      If you don't have access to any junkyards or parts cars, I would try and use some very strong adhesive to put them back on. Carefully pry them/dig them out of the car and try and get them back on. It looks like the posts are glued on from the factory.

      Matt, I have never had to do it but I would suggest that you use a high quality glue. It looks to me like they are glued on from the factory.
