Its scary how ALL car reviewers bash older models when the new one hits the market, so if you want to know how much good your older car was, wait untill a new model is out..😂
@@andrewdick4896 Totally disagree. As an owner of an RS6 I don't understand the expectation that it ashould perfoem on a b-road like a hot hartch. I bought it to cover ground with people and things in confort without drama. If I want excitement, I'll take another car. I think the expectations reflected in this review are completely out of alignment wiht the poeple that actually buy RS6;'s.
mothaybabonnam The straps I was referring to are the OEM straps made by Omega for instance which are a couple of hundred dollars easily, and even those of Tudor which are made by Julien Faure and the highly engineered 500 thread count per centimetre fabric straps. Though NATO straps were originally made to be cheap and with their outmost priority being durability, there is room for higher end products which have adapted the form factor. Furthermore, they are truly wonderful straps that at this end take much longer to show any wear, and their comfort and aesthetic is one that as wearer and consumer, I have and will continue to enjoy over the next few years quite happily.
3:08 Fun Fact: In Germany you cant get the alcantara headliner without the Bang&Olufsen Soundsystem ... so if you want alcantara over your head it'll cost 8000+ €
PH discovers production value! This is impressive stuff, well done chaps. Love the time lapse autoroute and nav @3:35, the outside cam/inside mic @4:25, the bumper cam @7:03… Dan is on top form too. As for the RS6, it's hugely appealing, and I'm far from an RS or Audi or even VAG fan. But I don't have £90k (let alone £135k!), so it doesn't matter.
I've got facelift RS6 and whilst I admit it's not the sharpest of cars, I have very little complaints about the dynamics. Rear wheel steering will sharpen up the handling no doubt - but in my mind, that's another thing to worry about in terms of reliability. I've seen some atrocious failures on Porsche cars... I think, I prefer one without this feature.
funny this bullcrap claims about german car manufactors reliability... 2019 JD power 3 years reliability ranking...most reliable car on sale in USA today... Porsche 911...beating everything from Lexus and Toyota.... All German car brands are in the 2019 JD power3 years reliability ranking abouve car industry 3 year reliability average.... the only Japanese brands above 3 year car industry relibility average are Lexus Toyota and Subaru (all Toyota owned).... Nissan, Honda, Suzuki, Infinity, Mazda and all other are below.
Front is spot on, but the rear doesn't look as good as the previous model which was perfect imo, this rear looks more like an rs5 and lost that beatiful wedge shape, still a dream car and better than the older model
Quick question with electric cars taking over will you be changing your channel name to Circuitheads? 😆 Great video man, was fun to watch you have a pretty calming voice.
I had one of the original twin turbo 4.2 V8 RS6s. It was brilliant. Sounds like Audi have returned the car to its roots. Good. And, yes, I am sure it’s the better car compared to the Merc.
Nice car, not worth £134,000 though. Do the drive shafts break when its launched? Does the gearbox still cost £12,000 to replace as the parts are not available to recondition them?
Fantastic video guys. Your best yet I think. Just one thing, £139k?! Still, with the depreciation that this things suffer with, it'll be half price in 3 years.
Some of those option prices are higher than what you'd pay on a Porsche, e.g. £3000 more than on the Panamera for the carbon ceramics. What's up with that?
I think Audi are milking the pricing on the fame that the C7 built.... which is a shame because it will probably sell less now....and never meet its potential, leaving the C7 as the halo model if only because few really know a C8 version.
#danprossser great review, beautifully filmed and edited, agree - best supercar estate on the market right now I have a Skoda superb 4x4 and would love this as daily next to my m3 comp weekender
I would pick the C7 RS6 everyday over a merc if only for the aesthetics, but definitely the build quality and finish.... as for the C8, I will wait until I see it and drive it, but first impressions on aesthetics are very similar to this report. I am not in favour of the extra 100kg the mild hybrid pack and rear steering assist have added plus the silly vibrating throttle, that's just plain stupid... right now I think the C7 will be the ICE car which goes down in history as the best ever RS6 ever made...I suspect some of the energy that the C7 had has been electronically sanitised from the C8 character, if it has any.... All that GT stuff on autobahns, might just have turned it into another more versatile Bentley Continental.
@@TheEryk03 that was just one journalists opinion, personally there is relativity in both statements. I don't think there will be much difference between a c7 and c8 on the handling front, I am not a big advocate for rear wheel steer or its 100kg weight penalty in the 8. Most new tech just makes the drive more sanitised, and less for the driver to achieve. We will have to wait and see... when they turn up.
I recommend changing the thumbnail, reminds me of a countdown premier type stock image. Not saying to make it childish clickbait but definitely spruce it up a bit
Weighs an extra 150kg over the c7, is a whole second slower 0-200 kmh over the merc and m5 infact its only 0.1 sec faster then the old c7 performance to 200kmh and thats even with an extra 40lbs ft of torque.
A truly amazing car but at £130000 that’s a truly high price tag I think I’d wait a year and let it depreciate in value and let someone else add the very expensive extras!
If you look at the standard car, just add the 22" wheels - its fine. Even the Navarra Blue is standard option - shock horror ;-). And after this have a look at the C7 on YT and it looks very mild IMHO. TBH - I find this 'review' very average; the ones posted by JayEmm and Achilles Joe are better, more about the car/shots than arty scenery / driver shots...
in my opinion the E63 is a joke compared to this. the RS6 is so much more unique and aggressive looking and its interior built quality is substantially better. sure the sound and driving dynamics of the E63 would destroy the RS6 but that doesn't really matter too much on a day to day basis
If i'm in search for a fast estate, then it's not the 155 mph range I would search for. Not even the the 189 mph range. I will have a car for 200 mph +. There is only one factory build estate, what goes as fast as that, and it's the BMW Alpina B5 Biturbo Touring. In mid summer, there will be a facelift and maybe even faster version of that gentlemans racer.

Absolutely love the seat belts. Reminds me of high-end nato straps for watches. Simply gorgeous detail. Bravo Audi.
Nato Straps are by definition low end. They're a cheaper alternative to real leather straps

audi's design is timeless beautiful classy sharp its just so much better than merc
Agree very much. Some fantastics cars, the E63S is so much fun, but the design is less tasteful inside and out imo

Great work Dan - cinematics are up there with the best, too. I'd have an E63 wagon though, more entertaining and more understated.
Thank for a great review and production guys. I would have the Audi.
The intro reminds me of the film Drive, nice work guys!
Great video. To me this is the meanest looking car ever made. Cheers
Are we sure this is a "UK review"?
love it, probably one of the best car on the market now. for me its a little too big i would prefer rs4.
Audi are making some incredible cars atm
The RS6 just looks so much better than E63 wagon, in my opinion. Interesting cinematography, and general style to this video 👌.
Look at how the wheels fill the wheel wells straight from the factory, amazing.
Best review of the new rs6 of them all. Brilliant work Dan.

A wonderfully dramatic video to match a dramatic car. RS6 all the way, with the heritage and body drama over the E63!
Another great pistons head review
Absolutely will pick the RS6 over the E63.
2.1 tons? Clearly that bank-vault build quality has been taken to extremes. What an awesome looking beast though! Nice video Dan 👍🏻
Love that you got your hands on a Nardo grey. Great review.

C7 can't be the best RS6 ever if it's handle much worse than the C8.
If that rear wheel steering is as good as the on on the amg gt63s then it’s a must as prosser said it shrinks the car it’s unreal

Hell. Yeah. But not long enough! Had a C5 back in the day. Time to sell a lung.
Heavy enough to drive at a cow with confidence ;)
RS6 hands down. Makes the E63 look like a Ford Transit
In wagon form, it's the Audi RS7>E63
Sedans, probably the merc
I’d have one in Navarra blue
This car was produced to early it looks like a 2028 car, something from the future
I think looks-wise it just needs less Lambo-ish bumpers and stronger-looking wheels. Then it'd be spot-on.
