@Yirlani Because having a car that has a very small cargo space is impractical. If you have one vehicle but you can't bring home a shelf from Ikea then that is an impractical car. If the vehicle is too big to park where you often go that is impractical. I think cargo space is just the issue the average person runs up against the most often.

I have a 2021 Audi RS 7 with the optional Bang and Olufsen Advanced sound system, which is the same sound system as in this RS 6. I am posting this for all other Audi owners who have the Bang and Olufsen Advanced stereo in their car. When I got my RS 7, I was quite underwhelmed with the stereo as it was not clear enough and simply did not have enough treble. No matter what music platform I used, the sound came through as muddy, and I was very disappointed compared to stereos in previous vehicles. After some experimenting, I found a solution: Spotify premium. It has its own built-in equalizer. I now play all of my music through Spotify premium and once I set the equalizer in the app and the equalizer built into the car stereo, the sound quality is night and day. HUGE improvement. Now, it sounds great and it truly is a wonderful stereo.
It's difficult to understand fast wagons until you go on a road trip. You're driving along a windy two lane highway with a barbeque, two tents with foam mattresses and sleeping bags, three friends (or dogs), and all of your baggage. You're carrying all this stuff, and you still get to rip it with confidence. The one vacation trip I take a year makes owning my AMG wagon absolutely worth it. Sometimes I forget why I have it, my Acura is so much more reliable and can carry all this stuff too... and then I'm doing 200+kmh down a windy coastal highway with a packed car and it all makes sense.
I'm a rare Asian American loving wagons, owned a few hatches and currently own one wagon. Why I love them? They're normal cars to drive, they look more stylish than normal sedans or CUVs/SUVs, practical, good roof space for panoramic sun roof, better weight balance front/back. I'm drooling over E class wagon which is likely out of reach for a long time. As to why they need 600 hp and all the gimmicks/brake power for RS6, it's quite fascinating to think about autobahn driving. Look up some autobahn driving videos and you will instantly understand the use of such performance. I was always under the idea of more than 300 hp is a waste, well, after seeing a few autobahn videos, I can see 600+hp is very well utilized in some driving conditions
This is a car specifically build for Germany and there is a reason why fast wagons are a German thing. It is the fastest way to comfortably move your stuff and people around. The Sportscar experience you seem to be after would only be a hinderance when you drive for more than an hour at speed. You will get extremely tired or exhausted fast. Low center of gravity sporty but relatively big cars are the best type of vehicle for this job. You can drive with 125+mph and your passengers can still sleep in the car. You always feel in control and things feel effortless. You don't need to focus on anything but the traffic/road ahead of you. It's a GT car you can take your stuff, family and friends with. Once you leave the Autobahn and drive our curvy country roads you can take advantage of the other sporty aspects of the car. For me it would be the ultimate daily driver. I could frequently take advantage of all the things this car has to offer. My fast Audi wagon sadly can't keep up with this one.
OK you guys started to give me an actual headache when you went into the engineering of this car. But then I actually listened to you when you started talking about how the different systems work together and I was amazed with the depth of what you were saying. the number of systems to control the steering reminds me of how modern fighter jet flight controls are completely controlled by computers too to approximate what the pilot is inputting. pretty dope
This is a pure example of why you guys are so underrated. Such a great job briefly explaining the very technical aspects of the car. Yet still fun to watch you guys tear it up while trying not to reveal your over the speed limit. No one does better car reviews than the Savage Geese!
A lot of people dont understand wagons. Truth is, they're just more spacious than saloons and as a result they're more practical but with the ame chassis and little extra weight, they're just as fun. That's what makes wagons compelling. People, stop buying SUVs, buy these instead.
Let me guess: the seven timing chains are in the trunk, upside down, between the rear steering hydraulic pumps, air suspension auxiliary compressor and rear differential mechatronics controller. But hey I don't need to worry about it because it's built to last the lease lifetime.
Ahahahahahahahah, yup, you forgot to add the requirement to fly in Hans the mechanic in order to replace the seven chains since no one in North America can do it.
People love wagons, especially fast wagons, because they look like sleepers, at least that’s one reason for it. That’s what I like about wagons anyway. They drive like cars but with the utility of an SUV and when they’re fast, thats another level of cool.
I've been test driving some other cars recently considering replacing my 2012 Audi A6 (3.0L supercharged) and there's definitely advantages to the complicated powertrains the Germans use. The power delivery, consistent braking+handling performance, and composed ride quality are all fantastic on German luxury cars.
@@JJVernig I actually did the math using gear ratios, it's somewhere between 135-150mph. I wasn't sure if these were 155mph limited like in EU so I estimated on the lower side.
What the hell have I just watched? My brain hurts from the technical discussion. It’s hard to believe a car like this even exists, but I’m sure glad it does. I’ll never own one, but there will surely be a big smile on my face every time I see one.

As usual, watching a Savagegeese video with this kind of quality is just refreshing.
Awesome car and awesome video! Love this length for these videos. 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥
Yes yes and yes. Crossovers be damned! This is what we need!
We need more wagons in general? Or wagons that cost as much as a house?
@@JustaPersonTryinToHuman365 wagons in general, they just make so much more sense than crossovers.
4:58 I know it's a panning sliding shot, but looking out the windscreen feels like the car is on a turntable.
Good 👁
This is a car specifically build for Germany and there is a reason why fast wagons are a German thing.
Jack telling us we're gonna fall asleep to the upcoming content in this video. This is what im subscribed for.
OK you guys started to give me an actual headache when you went into the engineering of this car. But then I actually listened to you when you started talking about how the different systems work together and I was amazed with the depth of what you were saying. Thank you very much for this review, it is far and away one of the best car reviews I have heard in years you guys have definitely got me hooked.
That engine sounds amazing! The audio quality sounds fantastic in the driving portion of the video.
Finally... So happy to see you guys review my car. Thanks for the accurate, informative, entertaining, and Legal (never cracked 60 mph) review.
Jack knows Smoooooth music! Koko is proud of you from above!
Went to England a few years back...thought I had died and went to wagon heaven. It was glorious!
This Audi Sport-Hearse is literally to die for!!!!
LOVE the mph graphic you guys show the revs INCREASE but mph DECREASE, LOL....so fast you're traveling "back" in time, LOL
One wants a car like this because of the combined sense of prestige and exhilaration. That is quintessential to all German brands…!
Exactly what I've been waiting for a proper review of the RS6
Revs go up, superimposed speedo goes down...The epitome of editing - well-done boys!
It's great, always great. On his own, Mark sometimes used to get a little dark - always on point, but well....couldn't always watch when I was a little dark myself. Jack brings balance and allows Mark to have fun too. One of those 2+2 = 5 equations.
"my favourite part of this car is watching that number climb" 60 goes to 59. I love this channel.
I love how Mark's words are interrupted at 17:36 by the power of this wagon
I am so fascinated by the fact that you both still have licenses :-). Great work as always. Thank you.
What makes you think they have licenses?
The family auto was a '64 Chrysler wagon, 383 V8, 9-passenger. .. When Audi AG announced North America was getting the '95.5 Audi S6 wagon with its de-tuned RS2 5 cyl w/5sp manual... we were all in $. .. The '95.5 UrS6 complete w/RS2 Euro engine enhancements including the addition of 993tt brakes transformed the USA S6 wagon.. The S6 would be my daily driver for 10 years or more ... Fond memories of that S6 wagon.. Killer Kombi (wagon) or Q-Ship is a German thing ... Or was. .. Raise a glass in sharing a toast to Audi NA for bringing the RS6 Kombi to America.. ! P.S., The RS6 Kombi companion A6 Kombi / Allroad should not be overlooked...
What an incredible machine! Way ta go savage, keep bringin the noise!! Awesome review.
The level of cinematography in this vid is just extraordinary especially for the RS6 Avant which is something very special
I go back to this video, just to watch Jack and Mark giggle during the driving segment. Pure automotive bliss... incredible machine.
the number of systems to control the steering reminds me of how modern fighter jet flight controls are completely controlled by computers too to approximate what the pilot is inputting.
>People, stop buying SUVs, buy these instead.
But how do people will know I have a big dick if i'm not driving a SUV?
@@mcfa4644 wtf?
@@mcfa4644 lol minivans are the real big dick energy vehicle. SUV coupes sit at the opposite end of the spectrum
This video is why i love this channel
Your channel is the best!
Keep going
I'm glad you guys could enjoy this car, you deserve something fun after losing that Patagonia sponsorship.
My man ran out of breath after like 5 reps, lol. I'm kidding, you Patagonia Boys are golden 👌🏻
Ive seen many complicated cars, but this Audi is out of this world
I don't care what you say but this multi link is the best suspension in any modern car and the epitome of German engineering.
17:32 best uncut take, gets my heart racing
May the lease be with you!
Day 11 of asking sg for an audo rs3 review. This was good though
You'll be asking for many, many more days because it ain't gonna happen before Audi starts importing the car to the USA.
@@harryspeakup8452 what you mean? The rs3s been on sale for a while now in the states?
I've been test driving some other cars recently considering replacing my 2012 Audi A6 (3.0L supercharged) and there's definitely advantages to the complicated powertrains the Germans use. The power delivery, consistent braking+handling performance, and composed ride quality are all fantastic on German luxury cars.
That intro got me pumped for this video 💪🏻
17:25 Shifted 6 gears flat out. Holy shit. That is 140 right there.
That's exactly what I was thinking, crazy fast
I was counting as well: 30-35 mph from that corner and then 15 seconds flat out. Wow, thats licence-pull x 2 territory in our country...
"What a Fool Believes"
"This is It"
Subtle guys, very subtle. lol
A true land yacht
I'm sad to see those true and kind of desperate calls for subscribing. These guys put out such a good value/quality, I'd hope we can get them to 500K or even a million.
As usual, watching a Savagegeese video with this kind of quality is just refreshing. Car wise, I find this vehicle very interesting, I know it’s not American muscle but it drives good in almost every condition and it’s not compromised like Jack said. The best option for somebody wanting the space of the SUV without the bulk of it.
@Jose Acuna .. Agreed. . Audi RS wagons are Uber Ski kombi in Europe. .. Make mine Stone Grey metallic...
Definitely the coolest intro so far. Tomorrow Island from DEX 1200 is a sick way to start the video!
They're only going 59 to 60mph!! @16:10 amazing! lol, some good video editing! Somehow the speedometer also disappears :D
They missed one at some point in the video.
I drove one for the day today and let me tell you wowwwwwweeeeee, the power is just amazing
Looking forward to view the local farmer’s goose/jack cam fly-by compilation
Thanks
Yacht rock reference... y’all make me weak. 🤣
I had a A6 turbo diesel Allroad in Europe. Best freaking car I ever owned. 100-130 mph for 2 hours straight driving to Spain .... like it was on rails
I'd buy this in a heartbeat "IF" I could afford it. I guess my peasant blockers will suffice in my Sienna for now.
Simply breathtaking to look at.
3:58 y’all just bullying the piano black in that shot 😂
Yeah, gotta wipe down with a swiffer pad every day
people either love wagons, or they hate them. I love them. RS6 is the dream.
Speedo edit was everything lol
There are so few things in life as enjoyable as binge watching Savagegeese videos on a Saturday night!!
21:50 that's a really cool shot.
Bravo SG team 👏👏👏 . . . This is the automotive enthusiast channel for those who like to be entertained but also educated. Remember kids, life is better when you’re not ignorant. Keep learning.

I don't care, they don't own me. I drive illegal and run from the law all thw time
Great content. The wheel curls with the shades on indoors, incredible.
Dear Mark and Jack, (sorry if you prior answered elsewhere), any plans to review the RS6's competitor: AMG E63s wagon?
We get one late next month
I believe the E63 has more of the slide and toss aspect that you were missing.
Skipped an ad to start the video, then had to skip one 83 seconds in. Hell yeah!
You are missing out on testicle enlargement supplements.
