Love your job on this video mate, well done you gotta love those fish the way they smack, struggle to get the poddies here in Brisbane sometimes , do you catch plenty in your creeks down there,? Cheers .
Hey mate, Just wondering do jacks hold up at every drain thats rushing. Like why would they be putting there heads into fresh water? can u help me out?
The other side of that drain is salt water. On the goldy, a lot of lakes drain into the main river. So it's salt going into salt. A lot of bait hang around those areas.
I don’t believe that spot is still uncrowded. On a night session about 20 years ago I was sitting in a folding chair next to that little tree next to where you have ya livies and got bitten on my neck by something that had me in pain and sweating till the next morning. Much safer and civilised on the other end of that pipe. And Merlins Pizza!
hay mate great vid! i am thinking of getting into jack fishing this summer but their are no videos about line weight. what line weight do you run for livies
you prolly dont care but if you guys are bored like me during the covid times then you can stream pretty much all of the latest movies and series on instaflixxer. Have been binge watching with my gf lately =)
Good stuff mate how fun is it!! Can't beat the feeling of a livie getting smoked. I've done a bit of Jack fishing landbased and from the boat, do you find they only bite early morning or late afternoon or you can catch them anytime during the day too? Cheers mate keep up the good videos 🙌
Thanks mate. I focus my fishing around tides. I need that water moving. My live bait jacks have been caught 8am, 11am, 3pm, 4pm, 6pm. When ever that tide changes or water is flowing hard. 🔥👌
Liked the video mate, you’re lucky with the cast net , being from nsw means we can’t use them here which is kinda dumb but that’s the rule.. nice jacks
Thanks for the support. Yeah I'm 5 mins from NSW and those cast net rules can make catching live bait a bit more difficult. I've driven from QLD, caught a few livies with the cast net and then drove to NSW and threw the livies on. Didn't catch much but at least I've got that option if needed!
I walk around my local area and just find places that hold bait. Helps when you're on foot doing a bit of landbased fishing - you just notice lots of things. I can't give away spots but just look for drains and run offs or where the weed beds are. The mullet like protection and shallow water!
just found your vids. NICE! Keep em coming.
Thanks mate! Having a small break, will be back to the content shortly! Appreciate the comme t

Thanks mate, appreciate it. Plenty of poddy mullet around here, too many to throw a cast net at!!
Jack lollipops. Herring go alright as well.
Gold coast gang
We have these in Florida too, they're called mangrove snappers. I catch them with live shrimp a lot. Watch out for them teeth they will bite.
Yeah I've seen a few videos from Lindsay Lawson. We love them here!

Hi Snagd Fishing , could you tell me where we can catch bream by land base fishing .Thank a lot.
Hey mate do u know any land based spots around Gold Coast that produce Giant Trevally? I also don’t have a boat or a kayak
Hey man, not really except behind where I was fishing in this video around Elanora
What spot is that just wondering so my brother can catch his first jack if that’s ok with you bro
I love mangrove jack delcios

Do you use sinkers with the livies?
Yeah. Kepp the lives down and in the right spot

hay mate great vid! i am thinking of getting into jack fishing this summer but their are no videos about line weight. what line weight do you run for livies
Thanks mate 🔥! I normally run 30lb braid and 30lb leader. If I'm fishing spots where oysters and other sharp rocks are ill bump up my leader to 50lb
@@snagdfishing righto, thanks for your recommendation! i will defiantly go and grab some

Nice video lads, good stuff🤘🇦🇺
Do you know if the rock walls are any good with livies?
I'd say yes they are good. But you might not get it back due to snags 🤙
What baits did you use bro? Btw nice fish, delicious too😅
Poddy Mullet. Biggest I've caught using it has been 54cm. 👌👌
@@snagdfishingHere in malaysia, hard to find spots with huge MJ. That fish is like everyone favourites😅😅. Btw thanks for sharing, nice catch 👍🏿.

You should make a how to for your live bait rigs
Will do when I'm doing another live bait vid!
👍👍😍
nice video
Hi where is that spot
An other good one
Cheers legend!
Cool vid mate, great jack! Only complaint was how long you kept it out on of the water, or maybe it only seemed that way from the editing.
Keep it up!
You don't need lead with hooks that big poor baits be pinned to the bottom..lol
Mate those baits are 100% pinned to the bottom. Defeating the purpose of what a livie is supposed to do haha.
