I had 2 so-called very closed friends (I thought) got mad over something that didn't happen instead listened to lies, gossip, & washed their hands of our friendship. One was my supposedly best friend of 55+years the other about 45 years. Very hurtful especially when one of them actually told me it wasn't 45 years of friendship it was 45 years of a toxic relationship & they both "claim" to be Christians. They won't forgive but how easily they forgot all I did for them & the hurtful nasty things they said & did to me.

To be honest, it has happened before and they wanted to keep people hooked. However, when the actors have amazing chemistry with each other like TG and GF do you don't have to keep them apart because the narrative loses its importance. I remember a bunch of shows back then would keep the audience in "will they or won't they" hell for long periods of time!🙃🙃🙃

I didn't even recognize Hutch with that long beard & he looks so different. Hutch is not that hot guy you see in these scenes on GH anymore.😭

Laura is too quick to trust Hutch! This trust and compassion are her character (could be) fatal flaws. It is what led to the rape, trouble with Hutch and Sally/Max, then, and in the current storyline of 2024, she is " looking into" Heather's case, which could lead to releasing criminally insane, serial killer, Heather! Ridiculous! 😮 The claim is they were friends once, but nothing I have seen since 1979 indicates that! Laura should have listened to Luke, and learned not to be so all fired trusting!!!
Oh, nostalgia, the days of pay phones and person to person phone calls are long gone! My kids don't know what a payphone is and don't remember when phones had dials!😢

Here's a little food for thought... Luke is acting like a child. Like a lot of kids wants something he can't have like a kid in a toy store. He is doing everything he can to get it. Has it for a while then like a lot of kids with a toy he got tired of it. Then later on when someone else wants it tries to take it back up again; but more or less because someone else wants it. It is not because he wants it but to prevent someone else from having it. Totally selfish act of a child.

Yes Luke was a little emotionally immature...but his backstory explained it well. You can barely compare him to the unrealistic comic book characters GH gives us in the modern day. Whether exacerbation, frustration, impulsiveness, insecurity, jealousy...it all made sense for such a well woven character.
True...GH writers today definitely need to look at some of the earlier stuff to get better grasp. It still comes down to breaking of the vows.... "forsaking all others" and "in sickness and in health" which eventually led to the final breakup.... it's one of the reasons why I like the modern version that says "as long as you both shall love"... because so many marriages end in divorce. It's sad that the writers don't seem to ever take inspiration from the past to help with the future. If they did I don't think it would be the mess that it seems to be currently.

I always think of the writing of when they went home in the end. I totally realize that's what created the sticky door era, but I kinda wish they'd done it another way. The common sense and proper way to have had their homecoming was NOT to announce to the world they were lovers. There were other people at stake getting hurt. It should've been a NOYB type of thing.....and Luke should have understood Laura's position on that. He knew the night before she was his. No need to add gas until all was settled, and they spoke with the family in private. But no, Luke wanted it his way KNOWING Laura was terrified; she warned him! Idk, that particular move bothered me but it had to create the next story line. Oh well.
