      Yes I am from DRC🇨🇩 we eat cassava leaves too but we cook it differently. We call it PONDU.
      I think is number one vegetable for all Congolese.

      @Sofia, it's only you people in central Ug that don't eat it. Some Easterners too but we, from the western part, eat it. People in the Nothern part too especial West Nile region eat it too much. In Northern it is called Pondu while in Western, we call it Sombe

    Thank you for this video. My partner is a Dagaou and has taught me so much, so everything in this video is all that I have learnt. We are really lacking greens in the south. I’m about to use bean leaves for soup. I never knew bean, cassava, pumpkin leaves can be used for soup until I met a Dagaou.

    Great educational videos. Someone told me the same thing that dawadawa is the almost similar as maggie cube and she uses it to cook jollof rice and others. I was fortunate to find a store that sells dawadawa not the powdered form but the bulky one with seeds. I put it in a ziplock bag and froze it, when I went to take it out it had ballooned and had to take the air out, the smell, wanlahi pass mormorni but taste good. I will love to learn from this beautiful mother, she is knowledgeable, and looks fit.

      In Eastern DRC (Congo) it is called sombe. That is how we also call it in the South-Western part of Ug (Rwenzori region). In Rwanda and Zambia, it's called Sombe too. Very tasty if mixed with salted fish and smoked beef

    I'd like to point out however that generally/typically, Dagaabas or Dagara people DON'T add cassava flour to our saab (tuo zaafi)😊
    Next time, could you use bean leaves too?
    Many may not yet know it can be used in a similar manner.
