Love this well articulated comprehensive solution! I believe it's worth looking ridiculous in exchange for sleep but I'd be too embarrassed/self conscious to actually fall asleep. Respect for anyone going ahead with this!
An absolutely brilliant solution! Dutch men everywhere will hear about your findings. But seriously, thanks for sharing. Looking foolish is the least of my worries when flying.
bro I am crying laughing during the whole video ! imagine being on a plane to your dream destination and it look like you cant even enjoy it bc you've been in all sorts of neck pain lol.....but bro Im tall as well and im so glad you posted this, im doing this in front of EVERYBODY! zzzzzz I go ! 😂😭🤜🏽🤛🏼
Been using the cheap $15 flat storing brace for a few years now. Probably not as comfortable as the Aspen. Neck braces are the best for sleeping on an airplane and let you actually relax. Family laughs but it’s better than the open mouth sleeping. Good job getting the word out!
As a fellow long-necked, taller gentleman, I've been using those cheaper soft neck braces to fly for over a decade now as no "travel pillow" even remotely works for me... it's not perfect, but nothing seemingly ever will be. I love this idea though, seems it a bit on bulky side for me personally, but I'm sure it works great if you don't mind looking like a lunatic as you say lol.
This might be the answer for me, my biggest issue with trying to sleep on planes is my head just falls forward - both jerking me awake and causing a bit of neck pain. Have you also looked into / considered the foam neck braces? May work similarly well without making it look quite as much like you have a spinal injury! Thanks for the video mate.
The regular and "tall" versions of those ones I see advertised have 3" versus 3.5"... My neck is 7" long so I suspect I'm going to be disappointed, even if the foam is firm enough (unlikely).... But let me know if you see anything that might work!
Thank you for this. My shoulders usually match the top of the chair. My knees are jammed into the seat in front of me so i can't scoot forward to lower my head. I fall asleep with my neck at a 90 and wake up from the pain. If i take my size 13 shoes off there is sometimes room for me to stuff my legs under the seat ahead of me to get my butt an inch or two forward to lower my head closer to the seat top. Who designs these planes? There's no room anymore for anyone of height. I am ordering a brace to see how it works on my next flight.
Reminds me of Stacy: th-cam.com/video/Hf-md40CVNA/w-d-xo.htmlsi=9uKtk01z4QZCWfXw But seriously, I've got an upcoming 10 hr flight to visit the in-laws, and am considering buying this set-up instead of the Travelrest All-in-one. I too have tried several travel pillows, wraps, and bands, but nothing works. And as a bonus, your set-up will really get a rise out of my wife as I'm fastening in; her Insta will eat those pictures up! Thank you! I know it's not much help since there's never enough legroom, but another trick is to add a pillow beneath your lower back. It forces your head backwards instead of slumped over.
Incorrect. Ineffective! The sole means to sleep is through extreme fatigue or premium seating options like economy premium, exit seats, first or business class. These pillows and neck holders are utterly ineffective! Wasted $65!

It seems silly but this the type of genuinely helpful information the internet is great at. Thank you sir!

Awesome idea! Thought of just bringing straps for the airplane pillow. Love it man. Being tall sucks on planes

Oh man thank you! Cant wait to try this 😂❤😂 Maybe I’ll bring a scarf to cover it up 😅
Been using a soft collar for 15 years, but will try this one as it does feel like it chokes your a bit. Thanks!
I might have to give it a shot. Thanks
Great. I did not realise that such a problem has not been addressed yet.
lmao you are a genius.

omg...I had neck surgery years ago & though I was the only person ever who used my neck brace on planes!😂😂😂
Haha funny, tried many pillows but always thought, this kind of stuff could be the best solution :D.
Great idea mate, maybe market it as the Hutchence travel cushion?😂
yes!!!!
Using my cervical collar for a flight. It works
Do you wear the brace while driving too?
No, it's just an issue when I fall asleep, hopefully not whilst driving 🙂

Alright mate, well, worked for me 🤠 YMMV.
lmao you trying to tell HIM what's effective after he literally just explained that it works for him? wtf 🤣
How tall are you?
He said in his previous neck pillow review video that he was 6'5.
😂
