I’ll be buying a 2025 as soon as it comes available. My reasons are the changes in sheet metal, sound insulation, and structural elements resulting in an improved ride and noise level. None of which you mentioned.
Unfortunately, when I first saw the front-end of the 2025 Subaru Forester, the first car I thought of was the Kia Seltos and I can't get past it. I'm open for change, but I'd much rather go with the 2024 Subaru Sport.
2025 looks like a ford escape, the 2024 looks more bold and stands out from other suvs in its class. Do away with the engine auto shut off, then I will consider trading in my 2017.
@@joespada4624I have the 2023 model and that's what I do every time I get in. I think on the 2025 we have to access that on the screen now mine just as a physical button.
I'm going with the 2024 because of the raised roof rails. I feel like a set of Yakima or Thule cross bar are more secure with the wrap around towers rather than the more flush mounted rails. I also like the knobs to control heat/cool rather than relying on the touch screen for controls.
Lease is coming due on my 2021. Will be looking for the 2024 only. The 2025 leaves me flat disappointed. The full touchscreen is a HUGE disappointment. I find touchscreens very distracting as they force you to take your eyes off the road due to no tactile feel. The styling looks like every other compact SUV on the market.
the 25 is an improvement in every way. It has more power, quieter, nicer ride, steering, safety, comfort and better tech all around. After test driving both I was blown away at how much better the 25 is, I ordered a Touring!
My wife purchased a Limited 2024 last month. Great vehicle on snow and ice. I have to admit I like the body style of the 2025 better. I like the analog controls in the 24 vs the screen controls of the 25. Curious as to the colors offered for 2025.
We got a 2024 Forester Limited knowing that the big screen was coming in '25. Disliked the big screen in my 2020 Outback. Slow, distracting. Bring back physical knobs, switches, dials.
My 2025 Forester Premium is from Ota Gunma, Japan (final assembly point). 2026 will be made in Indiana despite what was written by some below. I love the new look and 11.6" screen and new features. The 2025 doesn't have that exterior squished bug look in the front that I never liked. The 2025 is heads above prior years in comfort, speed, and appearance. It's also much quieter. I am really pleased with my new 2025 and the new 6th generation upgrades.
Have a 2019 and pleased with the style and handling. Agree 25 looks more like a Ford. Question the reliability of the large touch screen. Disappointed that there was not an upgrade in the horsepower
I just bought a 2024 this year. I would’ve bought a 2025 but the fact that they just tried to conform the style was a big turn off. The headlights of the 2024 had to grow on me a bit, but still better than looking like an explorer
They have had that big screen in the Outback for a while. If it fails, it is a $3K part to replace. I kind of like having the screens separated like in the older models than the larger screen. But I will cross that bridge in a couple of years when I replace my 2019.
The 2025 model is as different from the 24 just as the 2010 Outback was from the 09. The 25 offers a much more mainstream design both in exterior and interior. The design is quite understated, and still is quite no nonsense.
I totally agree; I am old fashion and have my classes CD collection, They have CD in 2024 Touring (& XC). SABURA >> if you. reading this please bring back CD - I know a lot of people of my generation who live their CDs
One deciding variable not known at this writing is price. How much more for the 25? All things equal, I'm confident the 25 will be the better buy, with better enhancements all the way, a better ride, smoother, with sharper handling, and quieter.....with better residuals.down the road. Nice comparison video! Thx.
Comparing exterior photos of the new Subaru shot with long lens and the old Subaru shot with wide lens does not give the viewer the true appearance they have in person. The long lens almost allways gives better impression caused by the compressed perpsective.
They used too, but they didn't sell enough of them to warrant the added cost of offering 2 engines. There's plenty of power, if you want more buy a WRX
I am going to wait till Sept 24 and buy a new 24 leftover , by then they will be discounting them maybe under invoice to blow them out. the 25s I dont like that they integrated the a/c and other components into the computer touchscreen , I like the knob controls better , less things to go wrong. I am a little perturbed that all the extras that they include on the premium edition, which is well worth it, they do not put body side moldings on the car, I will pay for that feature.
YALL it's getting its own hybrid YEEeSS hands free tailgate three camera eyesight Interior is so good they did so awesome. They finally have LED lights on the daytime running lights and it's on the turn signal. Which means it goes off when the turn signal comes on. BrO YYyYYEEEs❤❤❤❤
Subaru, you don't have to look like everybody else. The reason you have loyal customers is because you offer something different so don't lose that, do you.
SABURA >> if you reading this please bring back CD player. My Outback Touring XT has it :) I know a lot of people of my generation who live their CDs. As a second car the choice is important; either Outback Touring or Forester Touring; CD player is important :)
I love how it looks in the sport trim just got even better. I love the bronze. It's so sexy and it's just way more better stands out for me. Looks like by four but I actually don't care. It looks good that's the good part and it just got way more better and my mom is definitely going to get that and I'm obsessed ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🥹
Subaru has a BIG problem with an undersized battery and a flawed charging algorithm in their computer. Also they are in denial to customers with this long standing problem. I would not buy another Forrester.
2024! X 100! I bought a Forester Sport (2023) very disappointing to see 2025 model. As others rote: looks like a Ford.... And I hate that brand. Long life to 2024 model. 🤟🏻
I hope Subaru has fixed the woeful bluetooth system on the Forester where your apple watch bluetooth interferes and needs to be disabled before you can play music from your iphone. This is a long standing problem.
The bronze detailing is only on the 2025 Sport trim. The bronze basically replaces the orange/red stripe running around the 2024 Sport. This video does a really poor job of distinguishing trim lines between the years. The 2025 model shown is the Touring line, with leather throughout the interior, and that's compared/contrasted to lower trims of the 2024 model making it look like 2025 is a much richer car.
Get those ridiculous 19” wheels off that forester. I have a forester with 18s and already have a bent wheel and cracked mount due to pot holes. Today’s cars don’t have enough rubber on the road, and it’s all in the name of bling.
What I'm disappointed about is the fact that there's dual exhaust exhaust they have moved the driver select off of the bottom panel that was right by your shifter into the 11.6-inch display so now there's just boring space there and as far as the styling is concerned if you look at the Subaru Foresters that were before the model year and shape that you see now this 20/25 looks just like the old old version just updated
I’ll be buying a 2025 as soon as it comes available. My reasons are the changes in sheet metal, sound insulation, and structural elements resulting in an improved ride and noise level. None of which you mentioned.

I prefer the look of the '24 - it's more creative.

2025 looks more like a Honda CR-V to me.
you can turn off that auto start after you start the car.

Very disappointed in the exterior styling for 2025. It looks less like a Subaru and more like a (God forgive me) Ford. Ugh.
lmao
True they got rid of the classic c shaped tail lights looks like a Mitsubishi
25 will likely sell as well as the 24 or better. A bit more refinement in it may take me out of my Outback.
Agreed

An outback or Ascent are more comparable. Both have turbos and more towing capacity

The front end and side design view of 2024 looks better than new 2025.

Looks like a Ford - has lost all its character - you’ve always been able to recognise a Forester as a car pretty unique in its sector. Such a shame
2024- by far better looking and proven reliability. No way am I buying the first year of anything.
The taillights scream previous generation Outlander PHEV models 😬
2025 is made in Indiana, while the 2024 was made in Japan.
I bought a 2024 Limited.
Thanks to Ford for the design. That's what we called uncommonly design.
