Should be able to identify the corrupt guards using "snitches" and other intel and not be always accessible info, and then once found, you should be able to click a button and they turn into a prisoner, within your prison with a "Ex-Law Enforcement" tag and a sentence for conveying illicit items.
The only reason they would decline this addition to the DLC is because guards getting arrested in the prison they were working in, is unlikely. But an architect getting arrested in he’s own prison for failing to manage a riot, witch isn’t really an architect’s responsibly.
lets hope mod makers can you the script from the DLC and use it to make new gang mods that not only add more verity but make it so that we can raise the cap of total amount of gangs that can be in a single facility. Having 6 gangs in a prison would make a chatotic by very fun playthough :D
Perhaps their primary goal is to get rich, and prison control is the best way to achieve that. Other than escaping the prison so they can get back to earning real money on the streets again. Escape attempts being pretty risky, so that could be the reason why they are only done when they get arrogant enough with all the power they hold.
All of them have their own merits. Island Bound gives you a ton of logistical options, Criminally Insane adds a new class of prisoner for you to play with, Going Green gives you more labour and energy options, Second Chances adds more reform options, and now Gangs makes the Gang system a little more interesting. It all depends on what you want.
I think corruption in guards is a fantastic mechanic but it looks like it really needs more depth. Honestly I'd rather see the DLC delayed and price tag increased than just as it's described. Hopefully we'll be getting a video where corruption isn't so obvious and it's more of a 'level' of corruption, one that decreases based on pay; increases if they're in danger/wounded or see their fellow staff dying. Anything but just a boolean corrupt/not corrupt - it shouldn't be so simple!

But i know thess thing never gonna added becouse paradox just dont care
you cant arrest a cop when he is found corrupt. First he must go to a court of law and then he gets arrested. Aint the jury the one that decides the prison the guard is going to? it would't make much sense going to a prison where the guards and other personal are your collegues and even friends.

ehh? we already have gangs. this is minor expanding to an already existing system and some visual updates for clarity. sounds like the kind of stuff that would usually be a free update for most games
This is true but the new DLC does add a lot more 'gang stuff'. They claim turf, they go around in gangs (obviously), they graffiti entire rooms to control them, there are proper demands, there are assassinations and there's a whole load of new programs and rooms to help manage them.
@@TheGeekCupboard not to be the guy, but they already took turf, recruited people, would control rooms and try to kill people from the other gangs (targeting higher upps espesially). I really do think thought that it needed an upgrade and like what a lot if this sounds like. Lets hope its good!

@@Aspen72 you can recruit gang members, with no repercussions your members "can" get converted, but that doesn't nothing but gives u 1 less member you cant be a gang or join one, no claiming territory's, no events, no guard corruption no repercussions for killing a gang member or leader by the gang, just the gang being upset for a bit. escape mode has literally been left to die

@@cheryldahl9192 the gangs get outta hand too quickly in my opinion, like on low. 60+% was gangs, mainly the bastards that want territory. no matter how many metal detecters, cameras, checkpoint dogs, etc I have. the amount of contraband in a 400 prisoner prison is in the thousands DAILY! its quite ridiculous. i legit cant enjoy a "big prison" with this dlc enabled, gangs, suck and the old gangs are lame, so its like what the hell
I hate to be 'this guy', but I cannot really see any new features here. Prison Architect already had (I recall racial) gangs. They already had a hierarchy and would claim control over zones (extorting other prisoners). Sure, the different gangs were not specialised but I find that to be realistic. They seem to have only adapted the visuals (adding a colourful mask which is not really realistic, in contrast to the tattoos). The already exisiting gangs also hung around together, staged coups and were hard to control (as they should be). I don't see why certain gangs would only act in a certain way when displeased. I really hope there is more to it but it seems like they want to resell you what you have already purchased earlier.

What about random generated gangs with, for example, different traits, aspects, ways to earn money, gain respect among prisoners? Demands from gangs - as I've seen in the video one of the tasks we will get is to decrease punishment time for some crimes - in this case lower punishment for murder to 3 hours AND THIS IS STUPID. The team working on Prison Architect is exteremely unprofessional and bad at game design.
All this content they keep releasing yet console still waiting after 7 years to get the base stuff for the game like female prisoners, dormitory rooms, bunkbeds. like..... come on. what kind of company is this. it's sad at this point.

I haven't played this game in years, I may come back with this DLC, gangs were boring to me before and it's a huge part of a prison.
Would love to have the ability to control the level of narcotics in my prison. Even with 100+ guards and dogs narcotics never go away

There is, you know a guard is corrupt if you have atleast 1 Confidential Informant and researched guard vetting
