Nice job, the plastic nut is B/S. Wish it was longer so a wrench would go on straight as well. I swear they make it difficult, so most wouldn’t want to do their own service. I changed all fluids twice a year other than Brake/Antifreeze. I have only 77hrs on my 650 2021 XT. Just greased the Wheel Bearings yesterday, took me over half day. Thank god I did, very little grease in them, the top dogs at Cam Am must be concerned about their Bonus. If you do the rears, you have to pull the long shaft coming out to get the rear swing arms out. Get help to align when sliding the rod back from one side to other, so you don’t bugger the threads. Tighten to 80ft pounds. Other smaller are 45flbs. It was concerning at first, now that I’ve done it once, it’s no big deal. I run it hard but try not to submerge it in mud, but it happens.
Thanks! I too tipped over my shallow bucket..Thank god paper towels cheap. Break Cleaner is cheap and it cleans up oil easily. I buy a bunch of spray bombs when on sale..
Awesome videos. Has helped me a bunch. I ended up watching a video cover the front a rear diffs and they were using the royal purple 75w-140 for front and rear diffs. It was an XMR so assuming that’s the difference. I’d like to see how you manage to take the skid plate on or off. Was a pain in the butt for me to get the front portion back on. Was wedged in the front for some reason from the factory. Not sure if you have to remove addition bolts to get it to slide back in nicely. Like the vids
The difs are the same on all models, manual calls for 75w-90 in the front. I'm not a big fan of royal purple, mainly because it's dark which makes it almost impossible to see if there are particles or anything in the oil. I didn't take the skid plate off, just took off the 3-4 bolts so I could bend it down.
I do that to let more air in as the oil drains out. Kind of like shotgunning a beer, the oil comes out smoother and faster. You have to remove a good bit of plastics to get to it from the side of I remember correctly.

It's not a Can Am oil change if you don't get old oil everywhere but in the drain pan.

Yeah the maintenance and constant need of greasing really turned me off. I switched to a Grizzly and have only needed to change the oil.

Wtf everyone's first oil change has oil pouring out of the fill hole. They overfill them at factory for break in period??
I'm not really sure how they even over fill it. Maybe they fill it before it is installed so could be sitting at a different angle.

Why not put a small funnel between the engine and skid plate and put the funnel through skid plate hole?
That could work. I didn't have anything short enough. It wasn't too bad to clean though.

Plus, if you can’t get it out or strip the fill plug, you’re screwed if you already drained it…😉

Yes. Engine oil, gearbox, front diff, rear diff. Gear box and rear diff use the same type oil.
