I do enjoy Mike’s videos of any sort, he comes across well, calm and lighthearted.
More please Mike and Matt!
Mike you're an absolute inspiration in work ethic, health and fitness. You're proof that physical labor keeps you in shape in mind, body and soul>
Keep up the great work.
Always love Mike's building projects!
I would subscribe to a Mike and Mike channel. Two Mikes building and filming, occasionally talking about cinnamon rolls. I’d watch that all day. Thank you for sharing this build series.
Totally agree. Leave OG and do your own thing Mike X 2.
I could watch these Mike build vlogs all day!
these young guys on site and watching these vids are absorbing these age old construction techniques they would never otherwise come across. Very diverse skills from Mike and good teaching
You know its sad when Matt’s shed is the size of my garage. 😂
I would’ve been all for a how to, but this is still awesome. Mike is a badass, dude can do anything.🛠️💪🏻 ( your favorite handyman’s, favorite handyman 💯 )
I must have missed it, but I see that there is now a paved path connecting the two parking areas, between the buildings!
Yes there is. It's only been there for a few months.
Always enjoy Matt and Mike content!!
“Matt likes to keep things neat and tidy” lol. That’s an understatement.
Ha ha.. That's putting it lightly.
Need to get OG spec saw horses to save Mike's back! Also OG spec sheds by Mike would be a cool product! With Swiss Trax flooring!
Mike F is the walking “obsessed” encyclopedia 🤯🤯
Good stuff. Looking forward to this project.
You and me both.
Matt always keeping Mike busy
Man of many talents. Thanks for the content.
Thank you for the videos
Mike insight is always the best insight
Gotta love the “Top Gun” like intro music for Mike!
Start square end square nice work boys
this is the good stuff
A painted shipping container to match the building wasn't an option?
would have been much much much easier, and would match the building
A shipping container is only 8ft wide, we want 12 ft not to mention the fact they are ugly. We had them at the last company I worked for.
Good point. Just trying to save you a bunch of work in the heat@@MikeFigueira-OG
Not an option.
Impressive content, keep it up.
I’m amazed at how much Mike F knows. I feel like a dumbass. Where do you acquire all these skills. Pretty amazing
Two amazings.
Must be lots of prior experience, I’m envious of his knowledge
Man, Matt really hit the jackpot with Mike..
Man, what CANT Mike do!
Cover the roof in solar, add battery, and you can power an AC unit.
I just got a shed 12 x 20 with 4 small window, prewired lights, plug and switch. Double swing front doors all metal exterior, 2x4 interior bracing with pt would flooring. Was about 7800.00
😂😂 does it require a semi to move?
No it didn't 😂 it was a all roller flat bed trailer similar to what they use to deliver trusses with.
Matt has one at his house. It's 10X12 with 2x4 framing and aluminum siding. It's not so great for the money. You could open a wall up with a can opener.
11:30 You should remove the fence on the table saw when cutting the posts like that. Those off cuts can turn into bullets real quick.
A little surprised you are messing with house wrap, versus using Zip System? Of course, no idea on cost difference. Also - I hope you are a Home Depot Pro Xtra member, get some perks!
Zip sheathing would be redundant. I'm already sheeting it with T1-11 and wrap is cheap. If I was building a home and using Hardie for instance I would use Zip
Wouldn’t it have been easier to just rent a bobcat & a roller for a day (probably a few hours) to level and compact the ground? Then do the forms?
It could have been, but it's such a small area it's not much of a difference.
If you factor in the cost of the rental, the cost of having fill dirt delivered, the cost of equipment to then compact the fill, the need to divert water or deal with adding proper drainage the cost and time it would take would not make sense for this.
This guy can probably build the Empire State Building by himself
What about a 30000 btu window Ac unit to knock down some of the heat although running power to it might be a pain. Edit saw you mentioned that but only operational if you move the shed.😉
I'm not going to be spending any prolonged amount of time in the shed. There's no need for an AC unit.
Mike using a non-Milwaukee tape measure 😮😮😮
Will there be a tool sale after this series ? All those dirty tools will need to be replaced !
Ha ha.. Those are Mikes tools. I don't think he's going to want to part with them.
I need a guy like Mike 😂.
I wanna be, I wanna be like Mike, lol
No rebar in the concrete?
It's not needed.
What?! What do you mean I need a cutting deck?! I cut pine boards across my knee!!
What can Mike NOT do?..
MURAD form Toronto 👌👌👋🤘🏻
Simpson strong ties are the way to go, they actually have a testing lab at the Stockton excutive airport here in Ca.
3 x 4 x 5 rule?
It's a carpentry trick using a 3'x4'x5' triangle to create perfectly square corners.
@@ObsessedGarage yeah, was mentioning as I watched the cross measurements to avoid parallelogram mentioned. Was thinking 3 -4 - 5 rule would get you there as well. 👍🏻
Chris is a tall feller... Either that, or everyone else there is short.
I guess the price of materials has come down drastically. I built an 8x10 just a year ago and I was in $3k.
look at his arms - he's tall
He is 6' 6" on his short days
It has come down but not as far as it could. Still dealing with inflation
Give cameraman Mike a microphone! Can’t hear him and yet Mike talks to and responds to his questions we can’t understand.
Really enjoy watching Mike F, I'd love to quit my job as a Maintenance tech at the winery and work for him....
Tuff shed didn't have any solutions ? I'm sorta surprised, but I sure the underlying cost would be the same just about, I would 100% spray foam it,we do that all the time at the winery it's amazing how insulation differential is! All our wine tanks are foamed....
Later in the video Mike talks about the Tuff shed Mike's making something way better. ..
whats a shed?
Stay tuned and you'll find out.
It's for outdoor storage.
This is not an OG spec Shed as it's missing the nuclear fallout bunker/shelter and hidden underground garage.!
All of that might be a little unnecessary.
