Sure does hurt a little seeing ole Si struggling to keep up. Glad to see he’s still getting after. Grew up watching him. Feels like watching my grandfather slow down.
Glad to see si still getting into timber holes when he could be in a nice cushy blind!! Its been super cold here in northeast Alabama with sporadic hunting. Lots of grey ducks,jacks and fair amount of woodies as per usual. 6 days left boys!!
Had some incredible snowfall in Mandeville yesterday and was hoping to get out with one of my favorite duck hunt partners BUT Mother Nature and COMMON sense dictated we stay home-hope to get out soon and this has been a HORRENDOUS season,both here and at my buddy's Lake Village,AR Quack Shack!!!Praying for the Robertson family!!
I want yall to know the still shot of Uncle Si and the duck then a few of yall really touched me! That one shot engaged emotions that I didn't see coming. I've never met Si but when I seen that shot I thought one day he will be with the Lord and I didn't get to meet him. Then it moved to how fast life travels and what we miss along the way, what's important is our bonds we have with family and friends, and one day they will be gone. The hurt we will feel, but the hope we will have knowing we might see them again. And then what about me, ill be gone one day and will I wonder how good a father I was or will I get to meet my grand babies before then? Was i good enough to meet God.... all that in about 9 secs of that video. Love yall

You could get 20-30 in one flock light in. The skys were black with ducks. I miss it
