  • How it's made the Traditional Chelsea bun at Traditional Bakery Dursley, You can watch me making a Chelsea bun in the Bakery. Real life bakery making Cakes
    hand made in our Bakery .This is what I use :
    18lb Plan White Flour
    2 Qts Water
    2 Qts Milk
    1lb 8ozs Yeast
    3lb white Shorting melted
    3lb Castor Sugar
    1 ½ oz Salt
    And follow the Video, Please note that this is for a big amount of bun dough ie a Bakery
    The Chelsea bun is a type of currant bun that was first created in the 18th century at the Bun House in Chelsea, an establishment favoured by Hanoverian royalty, which was demolished in 1839.     This was awesome, Not at all what I thought the topping was. You have to remember though, I don't know how you really do the authentic Chelsea, But now I do. That dough flour was snow white, I was expecting a lot of different things. Obviously not how I have had them in the states.

    I'm a baker from N.Z. and I'm finding that the supermarket industry has ruined baking. I just can not find any employees that have the traditional mounding skills that you and I have, some can't even round a roll! Or fix a long roll that comes out wonky from the roller? Can you speak to your experience trying to hire in today's bakeries bro! 😊😊😊😊
