Arielle is a gem and will likely give you a little bit of a hard time, in jest of course, when she gets there! However, I'm sure Arielle would rather see you compete against her at the Games than just at an Open workout! I think you are doing the right thing! Long game is always best! Keep crushing it, Tia!

Bummer! I was so excited to see you and Arielle going head to head, but I totally understand. My wrist has been giving me problems for awhile. It really makes working out difficult, and I don’t go nearly as hard as you and the other CrossFit athletes. Praying it heals quickly for you!

I had the same injury, it took me a few months to heal, then a few months later it flared up again. Such a pain! I thought it was never going to get better, but I've been symptom free for 18 months now.

  • @nylonstringninja

I had the exact same condition and I had to wear a day brace and a night sleep brace 24/7 to get it calmed down and fully healed. Any movement of that tendon caused it to flare up again. Definitely not one of those things you want to train through thinking it will heal if you just go a little easier. I got it digging ditches in the mountains so it might have been a little more acute. The total immobilization sucks but it was the best and overall fastest way to get over it. I went from barely being able to grip anything to out of the woods in less than two weeks I think.

Hi Tia, I had Shoulder pain for long time. then I mixed a solution of 45g DMSO + 35g Magnesiumchloride (12% Solution) + 10g Sodiumgluconate+ 10g MSM and applied it on my skin (around my shoulder)every day and after 4 days the pain was gone! It is known for its potential to recover faster. Hope you recover fast :)

I had the same wrist problem when I had my son three years ago. The combo of crossfit & having a baby was rough. (Probably wouldve been rougher if I Didnt do CrossFit though) Took a solid 6 months for the wrist pain to subside.

Arielle is a rockstar and it would’ve been a great head to head - but Tia is the GOAT. Let’s give a little credit where it’s due.
