This is my first open, and I've really enjoyed it. I'm foundations, so it's heavily modified, but the workouts are more approachable than I thought that they would be.

It’s cool as a coach to look down the line and see everyone doing the same movements. The scaled athletes feel way better about the work they are doing.

So hear me out and please talk about this on the next podcast. If the CrossFit open is supposed to be all about the community and I did hear Dave say they are working on affiliate garage gyms, what if they set standards to what is required in your gym to be an official CrossFit garage gym and they do a lottery pool every year to select the open announcement to be one of these “affiliate garage gyms” and also as a side note I wish they structured the quarterfinals like they did the covid year and have live feeds of everyone and do a livestream of the whole quarterfinals
I would actually love this idea for the garage gyms to be for all open announcements every year
