Daniel thank you for posting this. I am a part time dealer and regular player. I recently started playing mixed games and it has reinvigorated my love of poker. As a dealer I knew the rules but this is an excellent strategy primer. Thank you for what you do for the game of poker.
2-7 is a fun game! Played a lot of "single draw" in home games but not much "triple draw". I have to say learned a few things from this video.
invisaman75 late comment from me, but absolutely agree. 2-7 single was a great game for me personally financially. My favourite game by far and triple draw is up there with my favourite games.
I wish I could find this game in my local casino. I love this game. 2-7 TD and badugi are my favorite other then NLH.
badugi is the most variance heavy bs i ever played
you are aging backwards. love you Daniel, thanks for being an outstanding human and representative of the poker community for so long.
who else is here after ivey the goat won his 11th wsop bracelet since 2014?
Got me 😂

Just in time for my first 2-7 WSOP event. Thanks man!
Billy Harris always stand pat with 2-3-4-6-7. 😊
these vids are rly gr8 DN helping out the ppl to understand these games. I played 27td for a bit b4 this vis after watching this i understand it way better just the way u broke it down. u are a stand up guy man gl in the series agn
this is the video I have been waiting for. I wish I could play this game more than just when in Vegas
having a deuce is even more important than he is letting on, great video dnegs!
Yo Daniel just doing a refresher on this before I actually dive into your super system chapter. I’ve had that book and I love how it’s just broken down totally into the individual games. Going to play all the variants of this as long as it doesn’t cross over with my PLO variants
This is my fav game. Draw poker is hard to find, but so much fun!
Thanks for this. Thanks for all you do for Poker!
Stopped to think about your question about best 4 card draw. At first I thought obviously 2345, but now I’m thinking maybe more like 2347 but don’t know why lol
Edit : got it lol. 4 of the lowest cards and won’t get ruined by a straight. Why I love listening to the legends talk. First instinct was wrong mathematically
Hey Daniel. Im such a huge fan and love everything that you do. Hope you see this message. Keep up the great work and i'll be cheering for you to win the main event in July.
Great video Daniel! This is one of my favorite games, only second the 7-2 NL single draw. Any chance that you can also talk about that game in the series? Thanks again
I have a video in the works on that game next.
I heard the most common ways to play 2-7 are limit and no limit.
No limit Is often played single Draw like 5 Card draw
Limit Is played with triple rounds.
Basic cards is the worst Texas hands. 2-3-4-5-7 best hand called the nuts or a wheel.
The way I look at it there’s 3 really cool ways to play 5 Card draw.
5 Card Draw like Texas ect.
2-7 Single Draw (lowball)
2-7 triple Draw (lowball)
Thanks Daniel! Happy New Year!
Really good Daniel setting me up for the WCOOP 8 game ($11)
anyone else here trying to learn wtf that epic bad beat meant?
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. I got here after watching that yes
Cavemantero yes sir lol 😂
Bryce had pat #2!!
Damn right.
Yup lol
Wow this is sick. There's more strategy to 2-7 than I thought. I literally just won almost $5 at the micros due to a couple of these tips 😂
Where can you play this?

dan the man with the lesson plan!
So, you could snow in this game with 2222X? I loved that in KC Lowball as long as there wasn't a station in the game. 7777X worked too. I don't know about it in limit, though.
Such a fun game. I played this the other day as part of an 8-game mix, was dealt 85432 and stood pat the entire way, guy to my left drew 1 card each on 1st and 2nd draws, stood pat on 3rd and started betting aggressively. Turns out he drew the wheel (75432), I'm guessing that's a cooler in 2-7TD?
Daniel I love you honestly
Here after Bracelet number 7👋🏻
tine-o tot asa Daniel! multa bafta in continuare

Brilliant
I drew five in the unraised Big Blin d in NL single draw,, made a Queen high straight and folded, but I did it
you don't have to bluff a lot for it to be valuable honestly. You're getting such good odds on a bluff that it doesn't have to (and won't) work very often at all.
Wouldn't any combination of 22277, 77722, 2277? be an amazing hand to just bluff catch on since you know no one else has either of these to cards? So if they bet representing you know they don't have then since you have them all and discarding them. BTW, I'm only learning this game after Danny just won his 7th bracelet.

How does the bett sizing work?
Once you pat your hand are you pat for the rest of the rounds of drawing or can you pat a drawing round and then draw in a later round?
You can always break your hand and this actually happens! Not often, but there are situations where it could happen. Suppose you make 23569 after the first draw and stay pat. The going into the last draw an opponent check raises you, you call. Now he stays pat. You can now throw away the 9 if you think it's no good or stay pat and hope he is bluffing.
Yep. That makes sense. But the reverse is true. Patting early in order to bluff everyone else out and 'get caught' and then break you hand too. Cool. Thanks for this. Used to play a similar game. 2-27 with a high and low hand. Not poker more like blackjack values.
7-27 not 2-27. 😆
So the 2 3 4 5 7 off is the royal flush?
bad equivelancy because there are only 4 royals in a deck but there at thousands of 75432s
@@CowSaysMooMoo Just FYI, 1,020 to be exact, not counting the 4 flushes - 4*4*4*4*4-4 = 1,020
@@prillman thank you for the math
Hey daniel would you reply and answer how does raise and re raise amounts happen in preflop and then what would be the min bet for turn and raise and reraise and same to for river card?
Please i m looking forward
Say you are playing $10-$20
Before the first draw: $10
After first draw: $10
After second draw: $20
After last draw: $20
Daniel Negreanu before first draw means preflop am i right sir,? I m very confused about raise and re raise... does it differ with table or is there any rule ? Plz answer for pot limit and no limit raise and re raise things for me with an example of 10$ & 20$ game....looking forward
Where can I buy the book?
Are there any casinos that have just a 2-7 Triple game table ???
Probably not since it's not a very popular game. They have mixed games which could sometimes feature this game
You can ask. They agreed to hold a game before their big Thursday night game. They’ll make an interest list
The Wynn has a players choice limit mixed game. I’ve played in a few times and this game is always in the mix.
Isn't snowing what Stu Ungar used to do?
different kind of snow!
#Blake Robbins LMAO for real!!
@firas Thanks for the cred! 😂
Blake Robbins This comment is legitimately one of the greatest things I’ve ever seen regarding poker.
How many players are there at the table usually? It seems to me if there are more than four or five players, you’d quickly go though a 52 card deck during a hand.
They can sit up to 8 players I believe, but keep in mind the vast majority don't even make it to the first draw
Beautiful game as ypu have no info other than the betting and how many cards are drawn.
Who's watching this the pokergo "bad beat" hand?
when does the vid of nlh come?🤗
basically almost impossible to successfully pull off a snow - there is mention of made J lo hands needing to call (or consider calling) on the end against any hand that drew - it's justified by pot odds - the same kinda holds true for a potential snow situation - someone who raised before the draw, stayed pat, bet their hand all the way - the calling player is gonna feel almost pot committed based on odds after calling the 1st draw (which they'll do with a pat hand of their own or a good 1 card draw) - it's a really difficult play to pull off with limit betting . . .
Can u play isildur in HU triple draw to see whose the best in the world?
that would be amazing :)
although im pretty sure there are a few other Online crushers who are also very good at the game
Raul Gozales Biatch people atc
What do I do when i play against players who only want to bet when they have something? Always folding when I'm having a good hand and raises
raise all the time, lots of bluffs. fold if they raise back
I made 1k just with applying your basic advices. Thanks Daniel.
What if one guy stays pat and the other guy is drawing (for the second time ) and he doesen't like his card , can he draw again for the third time or he has to go to showdown ?
you have 3 draws before showdown no matter what
Are there Flushes ?
This seems just the game for me, given how much junk I collect.
Then again, I would probably always get a royal flush pre flop in this game.
ty danny :)
Sounds funnnnnn tx dregs, you make poker funnnnn
Hi Danielle would you be interesting to buy me a seat in WSOP main event 2021 and we will split the price 🤷🏻😜
Hei Daniel, try out Gwent already (in your spare time). Succes
Kinda like Badugi?
H Se I would say is more similar to the game badeucy which half the pot goes to the best badugi hand and the other half to the best 2-7 triple draw.
You didnt mention flushes are also bad so if you have a pair hey rid of the suited one
Ken Lo
I be droppin dueces like dey wuz paired wit a 7 💩💩🧻🧻🚽🚽♠️♣️♥️♦️
About 30 seconds in Did I hear some Larry David in there?
Why is 2-3-4-7 a better drawing hand than 2-3-4-5?
I don't play but I'd guess because with the 7-4 you can hit a 5 or 6 but with the 5-4 you can only hit the 7.
@ 8-5 is the third nuts, and a great hand. With an 8-5, you’re also very unlikely to run into #2 and the nuts, because you’re holding blockers.
Figuring out the concept has left me laughing. So you have to literally suck to win this game. Makes for quite the psychological experience.
“Don’t leave home with a deuce”
Any 2-7 Triple Draw Tournaments outside of the WSOP?
Aria is having a big tournament with a Mixed TD low game, 2-7, low ball and Badugi. It's on June 3rd. $470 buy in for that one.
one sched at Golden Nugget LV in a month
Whatever happened to Evelyn NG ? She has disappeared from the poker world..
Yeah, but do you GTO? Don't worry, somebody will make a video about this video when they want to sell their product.
No Limit Texas Holdem, what is this game you talk about?
What do you do with 4 deuces lol
Get rid of 3 of them. You have quads
Anyone here cause of gta5
i think this is the same as low ball
I love you Daniel but you might as well be speaking Chinese
1 Dislike Luke Schwartz "The King of 8 game"
this sounds like gambling
LOL If you think 'hold'em is gambling, then so is this. This has even MORE math than hold'em....skill game
Too much babbling and not enough graphics.
this is the dumbest game on the planet in the history of history
Tell me you suck at 2-7 without telling me you suck at 2-7…
Lowball has been a game for a long time according to super system.
