great video. on my best days I have done this and you are 100% correct. I,d love to see how you would handle a situation I had recently with a very aggressive reg in position reraising preflop. I know I have to 4bet some % of the time but my real problem is stack sizes. I can't wait all day until I have a monster hand so if he calls my 4bet with 100 big blind stacks my 4bet commits me to the pot. any advice? thanks

if you never get caught bluffing, then you aren't bluffing often enough
it's fun to hit outs on the turn or river after getting some chips in on a semi-bluff against a flop that's offering multiple winner combo draws...the tilt effect is a great angle

Currently in Vegas, been card dead almost the entire time, but been able to make pots when things eventually turned around at times. Patience is the key, but soooo hard to master.

If I find myself playing emotionally against a specific player then I always avoid having that player at my table. Some players just get on your nerves so you have to avoid those scenarios because they will cause you to burn money!

I clicked on the right video, you just described my night lol. No good cards and when I finally got something everybody folded, too taggy I guess. Then I got irritated with someone who kept making the same large bet on the turn and called them but they weren't bluffing 😅 I think my biggest mistake though was playing vs a table of good players. Trying this next time!!

I play online every day, but I played live my first time at 1/2 the other day. My bluffs seemed to work more in the live game than the online game. Maybe because of my image. I played pretty tight at first, winning with strong hands. Then I bluffed a couple of times later on, and they folded. Or even when I was betting my draws they would fold. I think my tight image made them think that when I bet or raised, I had a good hand. Obviously, it didn't work every single time. But it worked more than online ever did, lol.
I seemed to do pretty well and doubled my money at one point. I walked out with $287 and only went in with only $160. I did have to go all in when I was down to about $100, but I won that hand. Then I kept winning after that, but small pots.
The rake is not too high as others I've heard of but its kinda high. Think it was $1 small blind pre flop(playing at Winstar) and 10% or $6max after flop.

As preflop raiser, this flop hits your range much more than the BB caller's. The fish may fold to a simple c-bet. I've won many hands that way.

Suited connectors hardly qualify, especially in position.
And of course you're going to continue with backdoor straight and flush draws.
Oh, and if you improve on the turn... raise!
My idea of "card dead" is unsuited cards that aren't even in the same zip code.
If u r card dead and getting total trash u wait for a decent ones or at least good situation like shoving first in pretty wide from SB or BU in tournaments.
J9s and 75s are hardly premium hands dude. You still need to fold the absolute trash pre flop, he's simply saying when you're card dead play the mediocre hands that you'd normally fold pre flop.
No real need to be a snotty git about it.

I play on anonymous site and I always can show cards after bluff. I often tilt fishes.
I rarely show my cards, but 90% of the time I do it is vs the fish, to try and get them on tilt. I don't like showing vs the regulars and giving them free info.
@@BlackRain79Poker Yeah, I show to fish, because regulars usually don't fall to that trap. But the point is that even I show cards to regulars, they can't use info after I leave table.

There’s different levels of card dead. After living out West 20+ years, I finally returned to Montreal Casino for 1st time since 1996. Bought in for $200 at $1/3, $1/2 list was hour+ wait. Was up maybe $40 at my best, KK QQ back 2 back, flopped set of 5’s too but never got paid again off. But the final 3 hours of ~ 5.5 hour session, I got nothing…….and I mean NOTHING! In maybe 10-12 live sessions, I can honestly say I always lost due to foolish play & inexperience/impatience. Finally busted my last $22 when a guy with like $1200 called with nothing & 4 spades hit the board. But…..I chalked this up as a victory, the old me would have punted that whole stack in 30 minutes- hopefully this never happens again. My other recent session at Playground I had doubled up, should have left early, but then lost it all with AT with two 10’s on board, loose player had JJ for the boat…..
I've found I can just laugh when this sort of shit happens now. I used to get crazily tilted but now it's just another day another dollar.
Soooo if I win on a rubbish hand by bluffing would it be a good idea to show hand instead of muck to further tilt said player???
depends if you rarely show I guess it's ok. just don't show cards on the regular

My problem is when I concentrate I play well. Then after I win, I get reckless and start playing with garbage hands because I’m bored
I like it abc poker when I started now mix it up thanks. They do get mad and make comments how do pkay that hand that way? I no tell them watched your video lol
I just act splashy and blame it on "being card dead", "here for fun (drink a beer)", note this may loosen up their calls and decrease ability to bluff, but loosens up a tight table nicely for value when you do have it.

Yeah. Good luck making these stone cold bluffs on a 2/5 table. If they actually hit a pair, and you're going for a backdoor runner runner straight or flush, you're gonna pay dearly raising that turn or river, when you brick. Hitting backdoor open ended straight or flush is -EV, 32-35% chance of hitting at best. The only time you can bluff like that is a semi-bluff if you have an open ended straight flush draw or gut shot nut flush draw.
I’ve been playing for about 7 months just 28k hands. What are the percentages of having a Full House beaten by 4 of a kind in 120 days?
I tried this strategy couple times and didn’t work out well got called by bottom pair and caught me on bluff. Once there is no luck also it’s just so helpless other people’s hand just keep out flop your hand and makes you have no chance to see poker god’s smile.
Live or online? If online and you are playing low stakes there are a lot of players that just can't be bluffed. The flop could be AKK and they will still call you with 22. This is where note facilities online shine.
Hey Jason, sometimes a strategy like this will make you look silly in the short run if they are nailing the top of their range every time. You just gotta keep at it. Building a loose image will pay off in the long run.
