      The only reason why it would be hard was because Daniel flatted with his AK preflop. Unconventional imo which then set up some trickiness. The thing is tho that Alex only has the idiot end of the straight which is not usually a bad made hand, but compared to river aggression from Daniel no less? Easy fold

  • @yaronnir
    @yaronnir 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hey Daniel, to your question in the video at 08:57 (I have paused the video so maybe you have answered it after).
    UTG starts the raise, and you're in the cut off, so you're in late position, and your range is a little opened, BUT, as he was raising under the gun his range from this early position is limited, he can represent a high pair (9-A) or an AK,AQ, AJ and maybe A10s and maybe KQs and maybe some more hands which depends how is this player (loose, tight etc.)
    your hand could be a pair, probably less than a pocket 9s otherwise you would have raised
    your hand could be AQo, AJo/s, A10s , if you would have had AK you would have raised
    your hand could be KQs, KJs, QJs
    your apponent fold with Q10 where he hit the 3 of a kind, so he must have placed you with at least a Q and a kicker that is higher than his 10......so for that range i've noted above, could be KQ, AQ
    Am I right?

    • @yaronnir
      @yaronnir 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      i just so your answer :) so you had K10s and you bluff the Q10 - Nicely played. but a loose player would have made the call, and i think you in the other player's position would have made the call yourself :)

    My poker instincts say that you have middle pocket pair like 77-99 or a suited connector like 67s, 86s (mid pair). That betting sequence makes the most sense judging by the bet sizing. I just cant fold the QTs there vs you, especially if it's not on the bubble or any other special stage of the mtt. It's doubly unlikely that you have a better Q seeing that 3 Qs are accounted for.

    • @BS-dc3yc

    Quiz: the hands you're representing are AQ or 66 (22 unlikely to call pre flop I'm thinking).
    I wouldn't fold if I was UTG. Chip advantage, Daniel is an aggressive player playing in good position means he's likely to bluff.

  • @shukhratraimov5391
    @shukhratraimov5391 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I think you range may include pocket 6, pocket 2, Q6 suited, QA, I don't think that you was bluffing though because you got calls on the flop. If you are, then it is crazy bluff :D

  • @timchamberlain5858
    @timchamberlain5858 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Quiz Guess: I thought you caught top pair with the Queen but with a weaker kicker you were trying to protect with the initial bet and turned the set but the reveal by the other player makes me think you had a set on the flop and a pocket pair like 6s or more likely 2s you were betting hard on to eliminate being drawn out on.
    Over pocket pair seems unlikely given the strong bet on the turn I doubt you had KK or AA and something like AQ would not have been played so heavy either. I would have called with Q10
    Range: KQ, QJ, Q10, Q9, 22, 66

    Range is AQ KQ QJ some Q10s wouldn’t go much lower, pocket 2s or 6s maybe there but not overly likely coz you often will 3 bet them in the cut off vs utg raise and they play better for flop vs post flop. Some bluffs then like AJ AK which block AQ KQ QJ for him

  • @Flip1717
    @Flip1717 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    After pausing after each street i did some guessing as to what each player could have, when the aggressor check calls the flop instantly i thought of BB having a 6 or deuce maybe 34 or 45 and aggressor/utg player as having QJ, Q10, KQ, KK, AA for a specific reason that this is one of what id say is the driest most uncoordinated flops that can ever come out that has a high folding rate to continuation bets but also has a higher check raise/bet raise against solid players with this awareness, so being in his shoes i felt him checking back a weak queen/overpair to pot control was logical and also him maybe trying to trap by inducing IP player to bluff which may be the play he was going for to secure some value instead of scaring away most hands that dont hit this board until he saw BB call it kind of shut down his confidence of trapping for small value and also didnt help his disguising of hand by ruining a "floating perception" with AK or something so i think that was where his thoughts began to shift into vulnerability and i think Daniel picked up on this because what was really telling which is brilliant by Daniel that if this was a bluff its a perfect bet and story to begin telling by representing and protecting his pocket 2s and pocket 6s here which are the two hands i put Daniel on potentially having and needing to respect here as he opted to check his hand instead of bet which opens the door for tough spots like this because when that Queen hit the turn he noticed Daniel not slowing down whereas most players opt to check here even with a Queen which is why betting here with pocket 6s or 2s would protect your bluffs as it forces this player to tell you their exact hand which is what i believe this player was aware of and was caught off guard by now knowing it was either shove or fold as if he calls its surely giving the player who may or may not have the better hand the absolute green light to shove the river if he checks the river over to them as donk leading all in on river after calling Daniels turn bet would just be super weird and act as more of a prayer Daniel had air when he is showing this much strength. So my guess is Daniel has pocket 6s or 2s whilst capable of bluffs with 34s, 45s, A6, 44, 55, 77, 88 but i had this exact situation happen to me where i check called and turned 3 Qs on a Q84 rainbow board and check shoved turn when guy 2/3rds pot it in a mutiway hand, he snaps me off with pocket 8s. Its super strong when a player doesnt slow down when that Q comes out on turn on such a dry flop that its a perfect card to bluff a Q off their hand and a perfect card to get a previously unaware player in myself to overplay their hand right into a full house all because i narrow mindedly over valued and over played my hand. Anyway thats my interpretation i know it was long so thanks to anyone who took the time to read this out as those are my thoughts on it.

    • @Flip1717
      @Flip1717 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      and just watched passed and saw Daniels answer to that i say i wish my opponent had that when it happened to me! lol no but i agree that in theory it is the right fold because it does look super strong and usually is but it is a great brilliant play to make when u sense its the right situation to do that.

    I think you have a bluff because it’s a perfect spot to bluff, your range is 22 66

    was thinking you had q10 and then you showed he had q10, soo started thinking maybe a bluff since you went and hid your hand :)

    So technically speaking at around 11:00, would KT be part of your range? Or is that just a plain bluff?

  • @SiehRant
    @SiehRant 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Quiz time attempt
    In CO, when you flat a min raise, I would assume you have a wide range. Higher part of the range could be big pairs looking to trap someone who raises to squeeze, and therefore you inherently flat with some lower pairs just looking for a flop too. So maybe 22 - 99 you flat.
    The non pair part of the range I would imagine would be hands like 53/54/34 suited maybe?

      My personal guess is you had a gutshot or 66

    • @SiehRant
      @SiehRant 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      i dont think i could fold a queen, because I beat your higher pairs and your gutshots. I only lose the 66 and 22. So TLDR, I beat AA KK, 54 34 53 suited

    You have AQ to Q10, pocket 6 or 2. I would’ve called with Q10.

    These rep ranges only work in higher (than 2 and 5NL) stakes as the people in those tend to not understand ranges therefore dont consider them, they'd just frightened off by a all-in - is that true?

    How did he make the right fold? He called the flop with his Q, his hand improved with the same card on turn and he laid it down.
    Seems to me you shouldn't call the flop, get the best card you could improve with, then fold because the screen says Daniel N

    10:37 why would you fold Q 9 suited pre flop?

  • @isentient666
    @isentient666 ปีที่แล้ว

    So given your question at 9:00 on the video (what range I think you had), I'd say that you are tight, yet veryyyyyy aggressive. I want to say you had a Q, but in reality since I think I know your play style a tiny bit, I'd say you actually had an overcard and perhaps a middle pair or have not paired yet. I, as UTG, would have called or shoved.

    I feel like Daniel would have a lot more bluffs in his range then value cards in that position on the button. I would have called, but then Danny would have probably shown me the nuts XD

    Can someone go over the trip queens hand again? I’m still new but I would not have ever folded that.

    I think you had pocket ducks or 6's he was scared of the boat even though he had trips. I might of been aggressive and called because if I paired up I would have the nuts boat
