Stan Walker and the Levites are from Aotearoa/New Zealand 🇳🇿 Maori is the native language in which he is singing. We love Stan Walker her in our beautiful country. His life has been very tragic growing up. He suffered a lot of abuse as a child. He is someone I have huge respect for.
WOW!! As an Aussie, New Zealand's Crowded House is one of my favorite bands. What an awesome tribute to his fellow Kiwi's and one of their best songs. Angelic voices and harmonies all round.
@@CrispyChips007 Neil Finn is one of the greatest song writers of all time, and he is a Kiwi, so I see CH as an NZ band. You must check out the ENZSO album. It's Split Enz, NZ Symphony Orchestra and a choir. I have total respect for the Finn brothers.
Gotta check out Stan Walker “circle of life” with the Levites. Stans voice is magical especially combined with the Levites. That language is his native language Māori
Loved your reaction when it changed from English to Maori the first language of Aotearoa, new Zealand, that tho you didn't know the language the spirit or wairua of the song and words still blessed you. Awesome reaction to Stan and crew
I love and appreciate you for sharing stans music to world. As a native maori indigenous person of new Zealand, I am just so blessed that you have discovered one of nzd great blessings. God bless you sister ❤️
I never get tired of listening to Stan Walker! I just recently read that the Levites are the amazing band and the incredible back up singers are The Standard. Thank for another great reaction!
💗💗💗 Just like PHS I very well remember the original by Crowded House, couldn't say when exactly it came out, but defintely during my teenage days (1977-87) ... never asked PHS about his age and it's not really relevant here, but I'd guess he's about my age, maybe a little older... certainly one reason why we sometimes feel like brothers, even if he grew up in Norway and me in Bavaria we still share so many musical experiences and similar exposure during our lives that there is a lot of common ground between us, so we may have different opinions on different artists, but still share the background on which our personal tastes have developed and can relate and respect each other even in cases where personal tastes may differ... This one here clearly was very beautiful and well done! Thanks Adrianna for bringing both old memories alive as presenting something new and fresh... - Have you seen Little Simz' new video, released a fortnight ago, a fourty minute documentation of her recent European tour? - Not for a reaction, just recommending for private watching in case you missed it, I only discovered it yesterday and loved it... Peace and love! 💗💗💗
I haven’t but I will have to check this out thank you for letting me know! I’ve also officially booked cleo sol tickets which I am beyond excited about! Hoping little simz will be a surprise guest too 😍😍😍💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾
Beautiful cover of this 80's classic. (I actually remember when it came out 😁). I believe it was originally done by Crowded House. I also remember another hit by them, called Weather With You. It's my first time hearing Stan Walker, and I think he has a great voice to listen to. I also enjoyed seeing how he used his body to make his voice where he wanted it to go. Cool mannerisms 🙂 I have 2 suggestions for the language in the 2nd verse : Maori or Japanese. Dunno WHICH, unfortunately. Thanks for the reaction! Have a splendid Easter :-) Love from Norway ♥♥♥
I speak both Māori and English fluently, and for whatever reason, I've only just discovered this version of the song. I must find out who wrote the Māori translation of the lyrics. The words are so well written in step with the original English lyrics and the melody of the song.
Listen to a couple of duets with Stan Walker. 1. Don't Worry, duet with Celine Sharma. 2. Choose, duet with Hamo Dell. Great listening. I'm sure you will enjoy them.

Stan Walker - Don’t dream it’ll over (cover)
Original by Crowded House who are also from New Zealand
There is freedom within
There is freedom without
Try to catch the deluge in a paper cup
There's a battle ahead
Many battles are lost
But you'll never see the end of the road while you're traveling with me
Hey now, hey now
Don't dream it's over
Hey now, hey now
When the world comes in
They come, they come
To build a wall between us
You know that they won't win
Here kore ā roto
Here kore ā waho
Hopukina te ua i ō kapu ringa.
Pakanga o mua
Tukuna, ka ngaro
Puritia taku ringa
Ngaro ana te ara ki pae rau
Moe, moe, moemoeā
E Kore rawa e riro.
Maruāpo
E ārai e te ao
Ū mai, nau mai
He taupare i a tāua.
E kore e angitu (yeah)
There is freedom within
There is freedom without
Try to catch the deluge in a paper cup (yeah yeah)
There's a battle ahead
Many battles are lost
But you'll never see the end of the road while you're traveling with me
Hey now, hey now
Don't dream it's over
Hey now, hey now
When the world comes in
They come, they come
To build a wall between us
You know that they won't win
Yeah ...
Hey now, hey now
Dont dream its over
Hey now, hey now

They come they come
to build a wall between us
You know that they wont win
E kore e angitu
