I am very impressed with this setup. What a great way to make an older Casita look modern with all the conveniences of the newer models. I do have a question: what is the length of the cushion area on the converted dinette?
Little house customs? I bought a couple things a few years back(their grey tank mod just adding a tube between the tank and vent didn’t help much). They lost a couple hundred or so dollars business from me last year. Emailed a couple times with questions. They never answered back. Thought about the shower mod. Ended up just painting the corner sink adapting my hose from my geyser shower system. So yes, shower system, full grey tank mod kit, couple more shelves. Couple other items. Sorry LHC, should have replied! I believe little house customs sold the pump switch guard also. Thought they did. Don’t see it. Anyway the one you have looks more professional than the one that was already on mine. Great mods. Wish I had the facility and skills. Got the spirit deluxe. Had some ideas, just not the capabilities full timing to do them.
@@btorr2945 Yeah , I thought about that vent modification. Didn’t do it. I’m in no hurry anyway. I did cut a port hole in the top of the water tank . I can dry it out after use. Moved that stupid electric cut out switch to inside cabinet with a better quality one as well . Camper on ! 👍😁
I'm sorry to hear you had a bad experience with LHC. I know Covid really hurt a lot of small businesses. I'm sure they had the effects of it, too. We've never had any bad experiences with them at all! But, everyone is different.
Sorry to hear about you experience with LHC. I have never had any issues with them. They have been very helpful. The grey tank mod you motioned only assists in allowing captured air to escape from the top of the tank. this allows for increased tank volume. If you are really looking for a grey tank improvement I would suggest the Fast Gray Kit by LHC. It will speed up your dump time and reduce mean glares by waiting campers at the dump stations.
Pretty cool!! I had started a skoolie project but had to give it up due to renovating my house, apparently that’s too much for me, two major projects but I dig the escape, but I am looking at the casita. It seems like modifying it and fixing it up fiberglass rvs seems like a good and doable challenge. Have you thought about ever adding a small generator? I am thinking of adding one up front on the back part of the tongue. Just curious.
Did you ever find out who it was that sells those water pump switch guards? I'd also like to know more about how you brought the outside electric switch for the water heater inside to that panel. Lastly, how did you go about attaching the planters and small shelves to the partition?
Good DIY video! Like your mods !!! Where did you get that port hole for the vent space ? I believe I’m getting rid of our hood ! Thanks for sharing! Hope to get to Hiawassi egg rally eventually! 👍
I totally agree about the porthole! I want to remove my vent, I've never used it and am constantly bumping my head on it. Anyone wanna message me with advice/tips.... please do!
@@lisasander4005 The newer ones have ventless carbon filter hoods that are much lower profile. Therefor we don't have an exterior vent so the porthole window isn't something I'd consider but for those with the vent it's an awesome idea. The new ventless hood is what we have in ours (2024 model) and it isn't an eye sore like the older ones but honestly we will likely never use it because we don't cook inside.
@@texlee84 I would not actually consider it an eye sore. But , we rarely cook if ever inside anyway . Plus the ceiling vent is three feet away if you got some smoke . Good luck with your new Casita ! I love my 2020 unit !!👍
@@ralphp3057 The old vent hoods are hideous and you're right about them sticking out way too far as well. Good luck with the removal, there are many who have done it so there should be some good how to's online for you.
For me, who is void of talent and vision, I truly respect the gift of creativity you’ve been blessed with. AMAZING!!!!
I'm digging that wrap you did on the doors! Can see LOTS of hours you have into customizing your rig. Thanks for sharing!
Great video. I love all the mods.
Thank you for this video! You’re super handy!
Really clever upgrades!
Cool. I like the port hole and bench seat. I have a nearly identical model, just acquired it and looking forward to fixing it up.
WOW! You, my friend have posted the most impressive mods video that I have seen for the Casita. Your mods are very well done. Thank you for sharing.
Nice!
This is the nicest Casita I've seen, yet, love everything you've done!
Standing Ovation 🤗 👏 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Very nice job, thanks for the ideas, I love my Casita 😅
Excellent mods!! Where can we see the detailed information?
The mod kits he mentioned are available through Little House Customs. littlehousecustoms.com/
I haven't put together any detailed videos yet. Life has been busy.

Really like many of you mods! Please post the supplier of your porthole window ….Thanks !

How do we contact Mr. Bender to get some of his information on mods?
how robust is the trailer frame on these little Casitas?
I have a 2008 Spirit Deluxe and have been thinks about replacing the cooktop. Can you give me the model number of the dometic cooktop you used. Thanks
I'm wondering if you miss the bathroom sink at all? Do you feel removal gives you much more room in the shower?
Well done! Love your mods. Any plans or info on your closet shelves? We need hanging space as well/
Sorry I didn't make any plans for the closet. Just used cardboard to create the templates and built it out of 1/2 in cabinet grade plywood.
@@tronviewI was hoping it was something that could be ordered and installed. One of the best MOD videos I’ve seen.
Please provide your source for the replacement window with blind!
How is the stabilizer support plate that's shown in the video attached to the trailer frame?
What is the font you used for "Crazy Ivan" decal?
Why put a stove beside a bed??
Nicest Casita I’ve seen! Although eliminating the bathroom sink means to have to use the kitchen sink for grooming and hygiene. Gross.
when we are in our casita, we are still camping. we brush our teeth outside and spit in the yard.
@@tennesseeterri Also gross! ;)
Maybe don't have the microphone so close to you next time. The loud breathing sounds made this hard to watch.
Just a note, he said “um” over 100 times in this video. Might be helpful to have a script to work from.
