Good update. We have a 2005 Liberty that we have over 50,000 miles on in the last 10 years. Everything that Casita does different is bettery than traditional trailers. All the RV industry standard components are the same. The simplicity of the Casita is one of their best features. If there is a problem, you can find it and fix it. My experience is that folks who trade from Casitas are driven by the need for size or luxury.
We've had our Casita for nine months now and have put 10K on her. Completed Route 66 and are looking forward to our New England trip this summer. However, the WFCO converter failed, and after two months of looking we haven't found anyone locate to repair it and no help from WFCO. Casita has recommended people but they've all flaked out on us. We love our trailer, but this converter issue has been a real thorn in our side. Would I buy one again...hell yes!
Have had my Casita for three years! So far no troubles ! I hope I don’t get any converter issues. They are pretty easy to change out if needed. But , many people don’t like messing with electric issues. Any mobile RV service near you? Good luck !
@@ralphp3057 I'm one of those people that doesn't mess with electricity. We've tried a mobile RV service, spoke to him and texted and now he's ghosted us.
The power supply can be purchased on Amazon and is easy to install. If you are not comfortable working with electricity any electrician can install it. RV dealers can install it but they are usually expensive and take all time to complete the work. I would agree with ralphp3057 and try a mobile RV service.
Awesome video! Seem like you guys are pretty cool people! Very informational, we have been going back n forth on various travel trailers, everything from fiberglass ones to Airstream Bambi (whew expensive). I love the Casita, but my wife thinks they look, “cheap.” I actually think they look nice and affordable. I see that your Jeep pulls yours, how much does your casita weigh dry? With all the stuff in it, how much does it weigh? I wonder if my Bronco can pull it? (it has a 3500 lb limit). Thanks again! I enjoyed your video, and I am going to subscribe now. God Bless!
Thanks for watching. We love the Casita and our roofs will not leak like most trailers. The dry weight is about 2500 lbs and about 3100 lbs loaded. The tow weight of our jeep is 3500 lbs.
The exterior front storage addition looks quite useful, but seems like it would considerably alter the aerodynamics of the trailor, which is one of the positives of the Casita.
Thanks for the look around Greg . I’ve done some modifications on my 2020 Casita . I wonder why your converter failed twice ? So far I’ve had no issues with mine . I keep my unit plugged into 30 amp . I’m still using the original battery. Anyway, thanks for sharing Greg .
Neat upgrades, several we have done to our Casita. How did you address the Lithium battery backfeeding from the Casita to the Jeep lead acid battery? Thanks
Thanks. I have not had any problem back feeding to the Jeep battery. According to the local Jeep dealer the jeep has diodes in the system to prevent current coming from the trailer to the Jeep. I don't know for sure but can only go on the information they provided.
I am in my mid sixties and retired. If you have questions I will be glad to try and help but I am sorry I don't feel comfortable working on anyone else's trailer.
That pantry shelf is great! I ordered and installed it! Pro tip for those wanting to do this… don’t pre-assemble it, assemble in-place inside the cabinet. DAMHIK
If you want to really be terrified, look at some of the TH-cam videos on camper horror stories. One person that I read about in the very first year they owned their new camper, it was in the shop for 8 months. Casita is one of the highest quality campers that you can buy. I know this because we bought one. Other campers even brand new have major things wrong with them. Some friends of mine bought a brand new camper and had things happen like the floor caving in, the roof leaking, and an electrical wire in an outlet that caused a fire. Trust me, you will be happy with your Casita. Also the Casita does not depreciate and holds its resale value. Oftentimes you can sell a Casita these days for more than you paid for it because the wait times are so long at the factory.
Hi, love your videos. Always very helpful. Can you tell me on the valve you put on the outside water drain. What size valve did you use? On the Connection to the casita drain plug.

I Agree.
You’ve had a lot more problems than anyone else I have seen reviewed. You handled all of them well, a great tour!
Thanks
How is thw Moisture? All the Cassida's I've'ved seen have moisture and mold.
We have never had a moisture problem. We have camped all over the country. The key is using the exhaust fans.
Great video. Thanks for the links to all the upgrades. I have a stock 2003 Casita that really could use some of your upgrades.
Glad to help

I find myself referring to your channel more and more. Wonderful content! Could you provide a link to your tv mount?

How many pounds can the receiver hitch hold?
The hitch weight needs to be between 10 and 15 percent of the trailer weight.
You have thought of everything, well done!
Thanks
I really like your set up. As always, safe travels....
Thanks! 👍
Super helpful video!
Glad it was helpful!

I am sure it does change the aerodynamics but I have not noticed any change

I noticed that you are in Nassau county Florida!
I’m in Orange County. Are you available for doing modifications on a casita?

Great tip!
How do you do the black tank flush?
The Casita doesn’t have a black flush. They make adapters for water hoses the flush through the toilet.
@@CasitaRvLife Thank you!
Yes, how mice and squirrel proof are Casitas??
There is no way for them to get in unless you leave a door open.
It would be great if Casita would just make an 18 deluxe ❤
Nice idea
You should change out the frame to alumium avoid all that rust.
a Lot easier said than done.
I had the same thing happened with a brake on my 2006 Spirit.
Sorry to hear that .
Thank you for this detailed, honest review.
My pleasure!
Nothing but awsome!!! Thank you 🙏
You're so welcome!
After watching all of the problems with this trailer it literally scared me away from buying one of these. At least it was useful information though.
No, we have had very few actual problems. We have over 90000 miles on the trailer.
We camp with relatives with other RV brands- always something going wrong. Our Casita is simpler, less to go wrong!
@@lindah.1104 I agree 100%. I would not take anything for my. Casita.

Casitas are garbage everyone I know that has one has nothing but problems almost as bad as a Scamp.,
I doubt you’d be allowed to have all that hanging off the back here in Australia lol
Interesting. It is real common over here.
@@CasitaRvLife Yea, I’ve noticed that. Pretty strict here about that kind of thing.
What is another fiber glass trailer you might recommend? Just wondering
@@tintruck2885 Oliver, but they are so expensive
How much it cost
You would have to contact Casita Travel Trailers for the current prices.
What mattresses did you use? Thanks!
We ordered ours from the following link. www.magicsleepermattress.com
We have heard a lot of good information also about rvmattress.com

Outstanding!
Thank you kindly!
👍
thanks
Thats alot of changes in 4 years! Are you full time?
No but we do camp a whole lot.
Too much zoom in close up pull the camera back would look a lot better. Thanks for the show.
Thanks
Our Casita came with a cold water heater! This is a very nice review! 😁🛫
Thanks, so did ours.
You have done a really good job of keeping the exterior of your trailer shiney.
Thanks
