    21 points
    20 rebounds
    10 assists
    8 blocks
    Quite possibly the best performance in a finals game in NBA history. But it won't ever be looked at that way because it's Tim Duncan and people are too busy obsessing over Lebron, Kobe and Jordan. While those players had some legendary performances in the finals, I don't remember any of them dominating every aspect of the game as much as Duncan did here. Should've had a quadruple double. He had 2 blocks in this game that didn't count.

      Adam Kern
      Magic had 42, 15 and 7. Baylor scored 61 in 1962. Walton had 20, 23, 7 (and 8 blocks). There have been many great Finals performances.

      Joel Villarreal yeah that's cuz you don't know anything about basketball! Against a much, much better team than the Nets, Olajuwon avg 35pts, 12.5reb, 5a, 1.3s, and 4.2b against the league MVP David Robinson in his prime in the WCF! Then he turns around and dominates the scoring leader Shaq avg 32pts, 11.5reb, 5.5a, 2s, and 2blocks for the sweep! This Nets team would've been child's play for Olajuwon!

      I agree hakeem is underrated as hell. And Tim duncan is barely top 10. He had a short prime but you could always rely on his rebounds and passing.

    It was the year of the Spurs in 2003, Duncan MVP of the Season, MVP of the NBA Finals. Jackson and Ginobili were excellents in offense, Bowen in defense. Robinson left and sait "i had some goods and bads moments in my career, but now it's the top of top !".

    David Robinson's first and last season coincided with CBS and ABC. Played the rest of his career when the NBA was on NBC
    To me, I associated The Admiral with the best era of televised basketball. It just felt a bit strange seeing him play on a different network in big games.

    • @tnawcwvictoria
      @tnawcwvictoria 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      +Chris Kreager I miss the NBA on NBC, but TNT is better than ESPN
      also, Tim Duncan is still da man, even though he's a Hall of Famer and not a Superstar anymore, he still a classy guy and he will always be the Franchise Player of the Spurs and the same can be said about Tim's longtime rival and Good Friend Dirk Nowitzki, he's a Hall of Famer and the Franchise of the Mavericks
      That's what I admire about them, they stayed with their team, they didn't pull a LeBron James and jump ship to another team and have bandwagoners follow them
      That's what's wrong with today's NBA
      Too many bandwagoners and not enough loyalty

    Man!! This was a lot better series than what I remember: The spurs where deep, didn't remember that the admiral was still on board so he picked up his second ring before retiring. Spurs had Kerr and Steve Smith coming off the bench too?! But the Nets: Jason Kid, Kenyon Martin and Richard Jefferson with "Mount" Mutombo coming off the bench where no JOKE!

    the shortage of the time in early 2000s nba finals videos means that the defensive part of game was so much important back then. But now every player tries to improve his offensive playing and leaves the defense to others. Everything is different now, 3 point plays are much much more important and the challenge between offensive player and defensive players are rare nowadays; that's why they say nba's soft in 2010s, and they are correct about that.

      It's not only Kawhi's fault. LeBron played amazingly, Ginobili also missed a free throw and Duncan choked in Game 7.

    One of the lamest NBA Finals series of all time. A boring Spurs team against a boring, mediocre 49 regular season wins Nets team. I wish there was a way both of these teams could have lost this series. It's no coincidence that this series produced some of the lowest ratings for an NBA Finals ever. It makes sense as to why David Stern didn't like the San Antonio Spurs. The NBA is also a business and an NBA Finals matchup as dull and uninteresting as this is simply bad for business.

      Who cares about business? You play to to win the title and prove you're the best. Do you think the Spurs care if you think their boring?

      Suprapto Utomo 😂😂accept America has always dominated the olympic basketball (along with the rest of the Olympics) . By far most medals than any country in history . And It is true that the best players from all over the world try to make it to the NBA so it pretty much is. The worst NBA teams could easily defeat most national teams .

      @tonybalsomosgimp3478 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dude most players on the Spurs roster were foreign at this time. Duncan, Parker, and Ginobili were all born outside the U.S. and also, the Spurs would rape any foreign team you asked them to play. America is the best in the world at football, basketball, and baseball.

      Suprapto Utomo You really are a fucking idiot. No other team from the world would beat the NBA champion from any year. That’s why they call them “world champions” because if no team from the nba can beat them, no team in the WORLD could beat them. Use your head.
