1. TACUNI CAÑUMA (MOUNTAIN RANGE) / CHILITIA
ADDRESS: Frontier of Moquegua with Arequipa
INTERVIEWEES: Franklin + Gianina
🇵🇪ALPACA KIDNEY CEVICHE: Chop tomato, onion, mint, yellow rocoto (Peruvian hot peppers) and mix it up with chopped raw kidney and raw spleen. Add lime juice.
🇵🇪ALPACA HEAD SOUP: Boil head and skin. Add oil, garlic, onion, cumin, salt, and celery. Cook for 30 minutes.
🇵🇪BLOOD SAUSAGE: Clean the alpaca intestines. Stuff them with a mix of blood, corn flour, and salt. Boil intestines. Serve with boiled heart and liver.
🇵🇪CANCACHO (ROASTED ALPACA): Marinate the alpaca with salt. Add the smoker and slow smoke for 2-3 hours.
🇵🇪CHICHARRON: Chop the leg meat and ribs. Marinate with garlic, lime juice, salt, and cumin.
Lightly fry in a clay pot.

only a series about food, would show us the lives of isolated tribes, remote villages, and other small places that tourists don't visit usually... because they are the only places where traditional recipes are still available.

Should be a 3rd channel call "Besties Ever Food Review Show", and it'll be Sonny, Calvin, Andrew, and Oro going to different countries trying stuff together. Have a counter for any extreme eats to see which one of the besties can keep up with Sonny when it comes to eating the craziest stuff. Sonny and Calvin are the comedy duo. Andrew is the voice of reason. Oro is the calm gentlemen trying to find peace in the madness.

Being Peruvian from the nearby Puno region I want to thank Sonny and his fantastic team for visiting the country. I have watched episodes from different cultures and I really appreciate the way you not only taste the food, but also interact with local people thereby exploring the cultural background.
Oro needs to be a perm cast when going around the Americas, Thuyen in Vietnam and Calvin around Asia
I usually eat my lunch (or whatever meal/snack) while watching these. While I deeply admire what Sonny, the co-host, and especially the natives of the host countries are doing, *my* stomach (and brain) would have a tough time with much of it.

The clear blue sky and huge white clouds are breathtaking! I live in Seoul, and our skies look hazy from the yellow dust with barely any white clouds. I am jealous!!
Nice visit to the outback in Peru. These people have a decent life with the animals & salt collection. The live with nature & balance. Their lifestyle has existed for centuries!

Years ago, in Bolivia, I ate chuno which is freeze dried potatoes. I started make it for fun recently. Guaranteed you can get 8 lbs of potatoes in a qt. sandwich baggie. Rehydrate overnight and ya got almost fresh tasting breakfast fried taters. Those mountain folks knew how to preserve and cook potatoes.

What's unique about this channel is it show more than food, it shows how different people live in different places on this planet. Love it
I'm from Puerto Rico and we also make blood sausage from pork called "morcilla" and they're absolutely delicious. Would love to try the Peruvian blood sausage from Alpaca/Lama

This is something only the producer of alpaca or someone with tons of money could eat, but it make me more aware of other ways of life in my own country.

I just came back from Chile 2 days ago and flew up to San Pedro de Atacama 4 days there where I ate Llama and Guanaco as well as other stuff. The Llama was tender and tasted like Hamburger, the Guanaco was tougher and had better flavor because it is a wild cousin with a stronger flavor than the Llama, but not by much. I preferred the Guanaco, I was there for almost a month. Down south and up north.

Culturally we don’t eat anything with blood or internal organs as the life is in the blood et the soul of the animal harnessed within the internal organs; so naturally I almost faint when I see it, lol… Even so, it’s always nice to see other cultures et to learn about other cultural traditions. The Peruvians seem bien sencillos et I love seeing the authenticity in thier mode de vie, fun show, 💕💕💗💗👍🏽👍🏽
