I'm actually surprised that the other members of the HOA actually let up on him. That was a beach, and now he had legally taken it away from them. Doesn't matter that it's legally his; it matters that THEY can't use it anymore.
I agree. The HOA might of had an agreement with the previous owner but once he sold it the new owner has the right to end that agreement because it is now his land.
@@SteveNielsen-t5s Yeah, but the entitled morons are used to being able to use it, so legality doesn't enter into it in their minds. This person DARED steal access to "their" beach! They wouldn't care if it actually belonged to him; they were getting this perk as part of the membership. And since he's right there and the people involved either moved or are sitting in a prison cell, most of the HOA would be furious at the guy.
I’m pretty sure Sam was paying premium taxes for water front property. Also was Sam in the HOA or not?

Oh I suspect the 250k was all the deterrent the HOA needed to leave Sam and his beach alone.
Yes it is a beach and he paid for it and maintained it, share your property with a bunch of idiots if you want, IT IS HIS LAND!!!!!!!!!

In some states you can’t own the beach below the high tide mark.
