Nice video.I have that same camp stool and painted it for hunting. Despite being from another state I actually am flying the Tx flag in order to support you all and your right to pick up where the Federal Government has failed you. Stay safe.
Thanks for the watch and words!
Failed may be an understatement... more like purposefully allowed and aided an enemy invasion
Been awhile..
I'm almost 67. I've rucked with my dog all but 3 of the past 365 days. Well over a thousand miles while wearing a 20-27 pound pack.
When I was young I solo and group backpacked all over New England. I've come out of my tent in the morning to fresh snow, the aftermath of a tropical storm and had a bear eat three days worth of food for two people. ? He found the rope and pulled down the branch and the bag. I've gone out in the winter with just clothes, food, knife, cook kit, canteen, a thin blanket and cordage. I went back to that site the next summer and had some great firewood from the brush lean-to and bed I had made.
Here's my tips. In the cool months if there is a possibility of getting cold and wet you will get cold and wet. Always have extra socks, gloves, hat, scarf, neck gaiter and anything else you can carry. It is better to strip completely down and put on dry clothes than it is to stay wet. In the summer make sure you have enough water for you and any companion you are responsible for. I've never brought a chair back-country. I've either found or made a place to sit. I've also lashed up shelves to avoid cooking on the ground.

Best way to find out what's really going on is to get your plans defeated!
When the rain and wind defeat your poncho, you find out how good rain pants are . . . if you work up a sweat cutting dead fall with a hand saw, you might be a double winner! Some who have enough need will put a chainsaw to good use, and some will give a new base layer a try (I'm becoming a real fan of polypropylene fishnet, myself). Keep up the good work, Snake!

Down in the Crockett forest we had a huge rain during our camping trip. We had high windsand too had a big tree blocking our logging road on our way out. We luckily had long chain and chainsaw.

Yep. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Great video, Snake! I have had one of those military bivy bags for years, never used it yet...and I had no idea they used that kind of camo in WWII...not that I know a lot about militaria, anyway...so glad you are back, Sir! Can't wait for the next one!
Thanks for watching and commenting!
Sucks you couldn’t get to camp but thanks for the breakdown anyways man!
Thanks for the view and comment!
those shelter halfs are quickly becoming collectors items here in europe,
prices have trebled over the last year or so.
Here also. I got these a few years ago and forgot about them.
Good to see you back! You deserve far more subs and views.
Very cool shelter halves ,where did you find them ?
Thanks for the watch and words!
@@MichaelR58 Army surplus, way in the back under a pile old army tents.

Holy crap I never realized that me and you had that same black and orange pouch.
Of course I use mine for my MP3 player but you know.
@@circusoddity1 I have no idea what its original purpose was...I scavenge what I can that works.
@@SurvivalTheory I'm the same way. If it'll work for what I need it to work for I'm good.
Thanks for the video had to get my mind away from this crap world LOL
Ha. Thanks for watching and commenting!
That's one of the reasons I watch also. The peace of the fireplace in the woods.
And the fact that I'm scared of Sasquatch. 😒
Look into the german rain shell pants and shell jacket i think i got em both for under $75 not thick but easy packable durable
Thanks for watching and commenting!
Great video sir!
Ww2, Italian code accepted. Deploying.
Thank you for not giving up on us Boss. Good video. I like the camo tarps. ❤ Can't wait to see that video also. It's 65° here in the Black Hills. Rare here in Jan.
How is that donation process going? 😂😂😂 You know he can't read or finish a sentence? 😅
The more I donate to biden, the more TH-cam recommends my videos. Strange.
@@SurvivalTheory - You must be sending him something far more friendly than I am. 🤨
@@redfaux74 Ha.
I was a little worried until you pulled that 10x10 tarp out - you can do a lot with those! That big Kalifornia storm is going to bleed over to us here in AZ and we've got a javelina hunt trip planned. Your 'severe weather' title caught my eye. Despite being 'misidentified' as a blue state we 'real Arizonans' are pulling for Texas!
Thanks for the watch and words!
So glad your back Snake! Indiana Steve

Didn’t they loose the war before trying to join us??? Would be curious if you actually would’ve been dry ? Have fun stay safe.
For sure at least my feet get soaked. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Was that lint flowing across the screen or an orb
Lint? You think I don't spend hours everyday cleaning? There is an entity at my place, that's all I'm gonna say for now.
Probably the Spirit of Leaia wondering when you're going to get a new pup. 🤔
Not saying anything bad. Snake just thought it was cool that’s all.
@@shawnnewsome4778 Ha. Yes, I know.
Whats the titanium pot you have?
Do the Italian shelter half camp out can’t be any worse or heavier than the Polish lavvus etc 😂😂😂

What does your mom think of all of this?? In her basement.
She wants me to get a job. But mom, I'm a social media influencer!
